Have you ever experienced any physical withdrawals from not smoking weed? I've found out that I get a lack of appetite, and a slight headache for the first day or two.
I recently stopped
A daily smoker for over 2-3 years, Daily. Never missed a day. Thought i was addicted to tell the truth, quit last week for a week by choice, with ease. No withdrawels. Was easy. And i smoke allot, at night a i have at least a joint before bed, so i thought this would affect my sleep and it didn't.
I have been a daily smoker for quite a number of years. Occasionally, (very), I will 'quit' for a few months. I have not experienced any physical signs of withdrawal. NO problem for me taking a break for a bit.
Spaz
It's Mind Over Matter - IMO
yea i have stopped a few times...i wish cigarettes were as easy to stop:(
No physical withdrawals, but I hate watching movies where other people are lighting up and I can't.
I'm on my fourth day without smoking bud after 3 yrz of daily use, and i'm straight. I noticed i'm smokin cigz a lot more tho...so that'z the bad thing.
Hopefully I can do as I hoping for and burn J'z only on the weekends.
yeah... i totally agree with robert42... its all in your head, because its impossible to become physically addicted to plain weed. you just need the will power to do so.
Oh, yeah, and I think about sex way too much.
haha you sound like meQuote:

i find it harder to fall asleep and stay alseep.
I sleep less hours per night and feel fine, plus just got a new dog and every morning at 8 or 9am the damm dog wakes me up;;;;fuck........
Once in a while, I'll go for a week or two without weed. I can't say I ever felt anything I would consider withdrawal.
never had probs... but never stopped for more than 1 month in the past 4 years lol
well, nausea/lack of appetite is a part of why i smoke pot, so it's difficult for me to eat without it, but i dont think i can call that withdrawal. before i got sick though, the first few years i was smoking pot, if i stopped for a while i was usually irritable the first couple of days. not physical withdrawal, per se, but part of withdrawal is the mental readjustment to stopping your substance of choice.
I believe this to be true from my own experience. When abstaining after a number of consecutive THC days, I notice a significant increase of intense dreaming... and feel more rested the next morning.Quote:

Marijuana reduces REM sleep slightly in the short term, therefore reduces sleep disruption. However, continuing use of the substance produces a sustained reduction in SWS (Slow Wave Sleep).

Marijuana ingestion has minimal sleep disruption with slightly reduced REM sleep acutely, however chronic intake causes long-term slow wave sleep suppression.
Alcohol -Acute ingestion of alcohol even in low doses causes changes in sleep. When blood alcohol levels < 10 mg/dl â?? increased total sleep time and reduced awake activity.

so.. everyday use of mj is going to pernanently mess up my sleep cycle?
not comforting a comforting thought.
Yup.
I have mad sleep deprievation problems. I can only sleep 5 hours a day no matter what.
I find it a bit harder to get to sleep without a cone but nothing too bad.
i smoked today, and i havent smoked since monday. my only issues were increase in anger, and having terrible sleep.
I just cant get to sleep. That is my main problem. Other than that, I usually feel perfectly fine, if not better when I go more than 2 days w/out smoking.

And if your REM period is disturbed every night then that could cause problems.
But yeah, i got into the habit of smoking before I go to sleep every single night, Im going to stop this before it becomes a problem....to be honest i thought it was helping me sleep....but i do feel tired every morning....
:)
Yeah, but REM occurs more often later in a night of sleep. So, wouldn't the effects have (mostly) worn off by the time most of the REM sleep happens?
m an i dunno if this is physical but i know when i just quit tokin i get REM rebound...my dreams for about 3 or 4 days are so fucking vivid, its kind of cool, sometimes i quit just to experience them. i like to write everythinbg down as soon as i wake up from dreaming, it makes for cool storys to read later on whilst blitzed!
