Who can help me identify a film?

I remember watching a film about a year ago at about 1am on BBC 1 (national Tv channel in UK). The thing is I cant remember what it what called or who was in it lol.

I remember a details about it so somebody might know what I am on about.

The film was set in the desert in USA and it was a town in the middle of the desert.

The main person in the film was a bloke who visited a girl he fancied at a diner.

I believe his car had a special power (possibly invicibility) but am not sure but his car was definately part of the plot.

The car he drove was an American muscle car.

The film was made in the 70's or 80's.

At the end of the film he had a race against someone and escaped the police.

The end of the film he drops his girlfriend off and I think some bikers come after him but they dont find him.


I know the details are pretty rubbish but if anyone knows a film like this I would appreciate any comments.

sorry mate i cant recall a film gin like that but at least i tried for ya lol also anyne seen that spanish film that is like american pie but in spanish lol it got this black/espanol guy as the lead who neva takes his right hand outta his pocket i cant remember then name as it was on at 4 am channel 4 while i came home late pissed and stoned it really was like a forighn version of american pie wiv better ideas i dont mind reading subtitles because i can read fast anyone ever seen battle royal?

well thx now if i ever want to see it it will be boring cuz i know the ending know

Nightrider was a TV series I am trying to find a FILM

It was a movie too biatch

I think I might have known if it was Knight Rider all the same.

This could be from a different movie but I think he had a barn in the desert and that got burnt down.

They raced down a road and I think the competitor crashed and the main actor got away from the police by outrunning them and hiding.

Knight rider kicked ass.i remeber when i was a kid there was some sorta expo in pittsburgh PA and they had the real kit car there,i remember gettin in and looking around at all the gadgets and the damn thing saying my name,i was like wtf,and started freaking out,LoL i gotta pic of me sittin in the car if i can find the pic i will scan it and post it,dont know if i can find it though being the pic is about 20 yrs old and we have multiple boxes of pictures in the hous.Take care all DGF

Shrek 2: Cruise Control

sounds like "dirty mary and crazy larry". did the car get hit by a train in the end, and were they hiding from johnny law in an apple orchard? "vanishing point" is a great film, haven't seen it in a while but there is no love interest for the lead character (kowalski). cleavon little plays a cool dj in it called "super soul", he tips kowalski off to the law on the radio until the man busts up his studio. peter fonda was larry in dirty mary, crazy larry.

cant you get the tv listings for that day? im sure they archive shit like that.

It could be Mad Max, or a whole slough of other movies. Sorry it's too broad/

That would have been my guess too except for the part about the diner and the girl. Great movie though and an ass kicking car.
