Whats Wrong with the Plant?????

yeah I just wanted to know why its curling up like that? its only doing that in the middle from the bottom to top, the side leaves arent like that they look normal. I have 4 other plants and their not doing that. I always seen that type of dropping when it needs water but I checked the soil and its wet at the bottom so i just gave it some water for the top soil and nothing. :(
As for Nutes their all getting the same amount I guess, why would 1 get like this and not the others thier all the same strain and I do everything the same that I do to the others????

I had the same problem with my white widows but it was water with me once i gave them a little extra they were fine and it was 3 out of ten with me but they ended up fine ,apart from that problem they are lookin cool well done mate

Is this one plant a different strain from the rest?
Is this plant full of heavy resin now that it's in flower?
Some strains get that droopy look to the leaves when they really start to produce THC resin.It's the wieght of the resin hang in the edge of the leaf.

I had the problem of droopy leaves on the last grow and I never did find out the cause :o
It was ethier overwatering, the lights, the humidity, or whatever ?????

Oh I'll just add a pic of how mine went, does it look similar ???? ........... it happened about a week after switching to 12/12 and they never fully recovered :(

Scobbie - I dont know I might just give it a little bit more water? I think its the water but i checked the moister meter and it says wet :confused:

Mand- no mine are a lot more droopy and shrivled up. :(

Heat stress perhaps?

There may be a hot spot in your room. Just put your hand around the effected area, and just leave it there, see if you can feel a sudden change of heat in that spot, or use a thermo. and check the temp.

Other than that, I have no clue why they are doing that. Peace :)

buk the same thing happened to my other plants , it was the light hps that made mine droop like that and mand told me to switch to mh and they came back to normal. so what iam saying that it was the lights that made mine droop. was using a 1000w hps when it started and went to 400 and it was fine

Mobay- did this happen to ur whole crop or just 1 cause its only happening to only 1 of my 5????? do u still think its the light?

I do not believe it to be heat stress..

looks like you over loved your plants

too much of something
leaves curling down can mean to much water.. but your leaves are curled down and brittle looking..as opposed to overwatering is usually droopy and sad..

SO I am going with ... to much FERT!! or possible wrong PH... or both and over watering..

you see mand's picture, how the leaves are super dark..that is usually the first sign of to much FERT.. second sign will be burnt tips... andthen the curling...

Hang tough.. and don't feed them..

I would recommend a flush but if your soil is already muddy.. you better hold off?

Hello B :) I wish I could help you out on this but I'm affraid I always get a bit stuck when it comes to plant problems :o
It's only the one and the other four are fine ? ..................... Maybe it's just how that plant is ?
Maybe there is nothing wrong and the plant would just go like that no matter what the conditions or how it was looked after ?

Hmmm, I'm kinda grasping at straws here I think :o


Anyway I doubt there is a lighting problem as the others are fine, and it's in the same tempreture and being watered the same has the others and they are fine.
Only thing I can think of B, is to just keep it growing and keep you're fingers crossed ......................... I'll cross mine for you ;)

GK- yea my PH is 6.3-6.4 and I'm the last thing I used was Schultz Cactus Plus which is 2-7-7 I only used a little bit and the other plants loved it (I used it 2 days before it got like that) :confused: I mean I just flushed it so I guess I'll have to wait and see :sadcrying

uhhhhh. blah...BLAH BLAH!!!! no jk..6.3-6.4 is kinda low and acidic. Try balancing your water better. and I also agree with the over fertilizing because I had the same problem on my first grow not knowing that I wasn't supposed to give them ferts every time I watered. Even though that was completely a bad thing, they liked the ferts I used so they only had the tips turn a yellow hue as apposed to being yellow or "burnt". So I agree with GK about the flushing, but do it with pH stable water a little closer to 6.8pH. Goodluck.

Is there blueberry in this strain...could be just this plant ,just this pheno...you know what I mean.
I ask about Blueberry because I had a pheno that drooped like that out of my Blue moonshine....other wise I agree with GK
Now that I take a second look at that pic I'd say raise your PH to 7 because I think your acidic water is causing the nutes to lock up and the plant is not feeding. :stoned:

Just taking a guess but could it be a magnesium deficiency? Apparently too much ammonium nitrate, Ca or Cl can lock it out. I was reading a packet of Magnesium Sulphate at the supermarket tonight. It mentioned fixing curled leaves and I immediately thought of your problem. Although it could also mean leaves that are curled upwards.

There are some basic that you need to check first. Use the Ph chart in the FAQ for dirt farming and make sure you have the proper Ph first in the soil. If the water is RO water you still need CalMag plus added to it. If it's not then you need to know what's in your water.

Dirt farming is not quit as easy as everyone things it is.

Air-rate your dirt you may have small cracks that get water early and then dry out that's common in dirt and most people don't give it a second thought. But roots can dry out quickly on one side and not the other.

Ph is way more important then you may think in dirt farming. Use a Ph meter for dirt so you know.

It could also be toxic salt buildup that is a very common sign as well. Now that you have done a flush as long as it was a proper flush you should be fine.

There is also a point where the plant may have just used up that leaf and does not need it any longer. Some signs are just the plant being a plant.

Growing in dirt you may need to try one thing then give it as much as 5 day's to watch new growth. It's not like the affected leaf will recover not all of them do or can.

Temperature hot spots can also cause the same looking problem. As well as root bounding problems too. If drainage is not quick enough the roots on the top can dry out and or the roots on the top are fine and the roots on the bottom are to wet and are rotting.

Just because it's the same plant each plant can grow just a little different and at a different cycle. Some can take more nutrients then it's brother for a week then you have a lock problem and it's behind in growth. Food for one may not be the best for others is all I am saying. You are growing more on an average.

The nutrients you are using are close but not exactly the right ones for a short cycle plant like this.

Next time pick up some quality nutrients and give that a try you should have better luck.

Remember if you are growing from clones they inherit the age of the mother too.

GK- I Veged for about a full month and I repotted twice. The last repotting was about a week ago :rolleyes: I dont know if that helps but hopefully I have all the info to help this tall lady out. :( When the soil dries up I'm going to try to the PH almost at 7 around 6.8-6.9 to see if that helps. I'm also going to stick with the Jamaican bat guano and not the Cactus Plus. Hopefully I can see where the plant goes from their.

that one pic of that leaf is fro ph and or watering.magnesium def. are also,not always wat they apear to be,its usally ph and or watering that mak it look lik a mag,wen its not.somtimes over watering can cuz soil ph to go outa range too.also it cud be ferts. problem.depends on plant size and pot size and with 5 gallon buckets it can be the volume of water ferts mix and or the type and the n-p-k numbers and type of lights,large halides cn handle alot moe ferts.u cud actually do a grow under floresc. n poting soil,with out ferts. if pots big enough and ur not usin a soiless mix.fish emulsions pretty safe,but u can still over dose with it.poting soil and florescent,s just get ur watering right and the amont right for the size of plant and pot size,slam u got it.

PH should have alreadsy been at 7 or 6.8.
And if you just transplanted before this happened it's probably in shock and stunted growth.Or it was root bound and now it's healing.

Buthead that sure narrowed it down.LOL :confused:
