What is a fella to do!????

Ok so heres the deal, theres this girl... um i mean woman :D that i talk to on MSN atleast once everyday, i really really like her but she lives like 400 or 500 miles away, i would of course like to get together with her but it's kinda hard seein as we live at other ends of the country (UK), i have not the means to be able to go down and visit her and i'm not entirely sure she would welcome me with open arms cuz we've only known each other for a few months (3 i think), we have so much in common it's actually pretty spooky, i know she likes me atleast enough to talk to and play games through MSN and shit like that, she says she will be moving soon and she even suggested she move to Edinburgh, which is a damn site closer to me than where she is now, although she has been offered a flat or a house or sumthin somewhere else, i could probably move to edinburgh but no further than that as i have responsibilities here where i live, and i dont think i could handle only seein her every so often that would drive me nuts, so the question stands..... What the hell do i do????? any (good) advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oi, I met this awesome chick but she lived over 1,000 miles away. So we saved up money for about 6 months and moved in together. Painful. But sweet in the end :)

have you discussed this with her at all? you might want to spend some time together first (like go on a trip or something) before your transplant your life to get closer to her. as of now i'd say just play it by ear, gradually make your relationship more serious and then decide if it's realistic to move closer to each other. that's just me though, i tend to play it safe and not rush into things cause i've been burned in the past.

Go visit her first for a few days...then go on a trip together or something before deciding to perm. move there.

we kinda chatted about it today, and when we chat were kinda playful with each other so i'm not 100% sure she was serious when she said she could move to Edinburgh but your right about the trip idea might swing that past her l8er on, i guess i'm just worried she'll find someone closer to home and lose interest in me, this is the first woman i've felt comfortable talking to in a long while as i too have been broken hearted in the past, plus she's got a knack for makin me smile and feel good about myself which is hard to do nowadays.

plus she's a stoner as well which is basically just a bonus :D
but i know it's not strictly a sexual thing like it is with most women i have been with, i genuinly like her personality, i mean she's cute, funny, as smart as we stoners get i guess lol, and has a great sense of humour, we also have the same taste in music as well as other things, i just wished we lived closer to each other.

that's sweet :) . i think the most important thing is that you're both on the same page about everything. for instance, if she thinks you guys are just chatting for fun and you feel this way about her, that would be bad, because you don't want to scare her away or anything. if you feel like you really could be together you should gradually bring that idea up, just try not to pressure her. a lot of people are still uncomfortable with the idea of meeting someone in person who they talk to online.

i see what ya mean, i mean the last thing i wanna do is scare her off but i can't help the way i feel, it's not like i can just simply switch off to how i feel... i just don't know what i should do or say that would help.

yeah it is rough, i think a lot of people have been in that situation. as hard as it might be, i think you should just keep chatting with her and enjoying yourselves, and maybe add a couple things into the conversation like "oh there's an awesome zoo around here (or whatever she likes) you would love it!" or just make vague statements about the future like "you and i should go to a concert some day" and see how she responds to that. if she seems freaked out then just ease off a bit, but she might be excited that you're bringing it up.

well she saw that i was listening to yellowcard through MSN and asked if i would be going to any of their concerts but i think it was more of a conversation piece than an invitation, anyway i'm not really workin at the moment so i cant really afford to go to any concerts rigt now, but maybe in the future... we'll see

well for starters even if she said yeah she wanted to see me it could be a while before i would be able to visit her cuz i'm not workin at the moment which means i can't afford to go down and visit, even if i had my own car (which i dont) i would'nt be able to afford petrol, i'm that broke just now, and although it might sound strange, i'd rather enjoy what i have than not have it at all.

We have had a long distance relationship for four years and the end of this month I am going to move in with him. When he finishes college we are getting married and I am so happy I can't beleive it is happening to me.
