Someone once told me that baseball players used to chew on tobacco mixed with fiberglass, the glass making small pores in the cheeks allowing the chewing tobacco to flow into the bloodstream faster.
I don't know if anyone has ever tried weed intravenously, but has anyone tried the above method, or just simply sticking weed in their bandaid when they cut themselves?
Yeah I do it all the time.
I thought they still did put trace amounts of fiberglass in chewing tobacco. Perhaps I'm mistaken.
You won't get the same high out of weed, if you just chew it without cooking it first... It's a humungus waste of weed!
The THC needs to be warm, as to work, or something..!:)

Heat will definately break down the chemicals so they are smaller and are able to fit in the pores of your mouth, stomach and lungs easier. But heating, then cooling, and expecting it to make a difference in consumption? I dont think so.
Why? For me, I'd like to know if I can get a decent high while I am unable to smoke or bake a delicious recipe.

The only thing heat can really do is get you excited because you think the heat is going to make it work better, thus you end up believing you are higher. Whatever floats your boat.
What heat REALLY does, it boils the chemicals (apparently THC refers to ALL the things in weed that makes you high...). Remember back to old chemistry class, the little diagrams of molecules getting excited when they were in gas state? They were really far apart. When things get hot, the molecules seperate.
So you wouldn't have a big lump of THC molecules, because that wouldn't fit into the pores in your lungs, you'd have little tiny individual THC molecules spread out over a large surface. Of course, that only makes sense if you inhale the smoke WHILE ITS HOT.
If you heat up weed and then cool it down, you may as well be having sex with it.
And why the hell would people smoke it? Because its faster, duh.
Actually, the heat causes a chemical process known as decarboxylization to occur. This is supposed to convert cannabinoids in the bud to a form which is more psychoactive. If you ate enough raw uncooked bud however you'd still get high.
It is also supposed to be baked in something with a high fat content because THC is not water soluble and is supposedly abosrbed better by the GI-tract when dissolved in oils.
Because cannabinoids such as THC are not very water soluble cannabis cannot be efficiently chewed for effect, it also cannot be injected. In order to inject THC you would need a very high purity extract and solution of hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin with .1% hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
You have to eat more RAW weed, than you need to eat precocked weed!:)

putting it on wounds wont do anything becuase the weed disperces through your body evenly. unless you somehow inject an ounce on your cut nothing will happen lol

I read an interesting article about Jesus and holy anointing oil. Something about cannabis as a main ingredient causing anointed areas (like wounds) to be relieved of pain as if a portion of the body was "getting high". It was a really great read that I don't seem to have bookmarked. I'll do some searching and bump this thread accordingly.

Nicotine is water soluble, effects can be experienced by chewing it and tobacco harvesters can even get sick from handling wet leaf due to nicotine entering the body transdermally.
AFAIK the THC found naturally in cannabis is a carboxylic acid, in this form it is inactive. Over time (by curing) or by heating it is decarboxylated into its more potent form.
