Per your thread on cloning how soon do you put the cloning jell on the plant. I have heard instantly is the best way or on the sissors as you cut. Also what is the best chemicals to use and at what rate? Can you tell me how to put pics up on the board. Thanks and your threads have been most helpfull.

When you do a post, go Advanced.
After you write your stuff, you have a "Manage Attachments" buttom at the bottom of the page. You open that up, and add your files to upload.
Once they upload, the window will display the file names with a "Remove" option. Then you know you uploaded successfully.
Then you can post your text and photos...
Of note: Your pictures will NOT show in the Post Preview button. You have to actually post to see the pictures.
I felt the urge to post a reply because when I was new here, I didn't know how to post pictures... and I was going BANNANAS!!! But we're good to go now... :)

Well the first thing I do it to have a bucket with Ph adjusted RO water with B-1 and CalMag plus added. Then I cut my clones off of mother and drop them in the bucket of water to hold them until I am ready to trim, dip and plug them.
Once you start to trim and prep the clone keep the end under water. Make your 45 deg cut under water as well if you can. Then I put the cutting in the plugs for my aero cloner and dip it in the rooting jel and place it in the aero cloner.
It's that easy. They can be held in the water for 24 hours and they will still root just fine. I do cut extras and hold them in the bucket of water incase something happends to the clones in the aero cloner (like power problems or a clog) that way I have a back up.

I prefer Root tech cloning gel and I have had very good success with it.
I use GH nutrients 3-part formual so I feed clones 3 ml micro, grow, bloom per gallon along with 5 ml b-1 per gallon and 2 ml per gallon of CalMag Plus. My aero cloner works just fine with only 5 gallons of water and nutrients mixed.
Cloning is very easy in Aero Ponics and they do root very fast.

I have a question for ZandorMan!! What is the minimum age to cut a plant for clones!! Is it a time thing or is it down to size and branches??????
From seed it takes about 21-30 day's before you should cut clones.
Before that your success rate will not be as high.

is it true that feminized plants can turn hermi if u clone them? or i that just a marketing scam thing
Any female plant can turn hermie on you if the temperature gets out of hand. I have never heard of feminized plant that was cloned growing out to be a hermie.
You have a chance of any cannabus plant turning hermie and feminized plants may have a higher percentage of turning hermie if the environment get out of hand. As long as you watch the environment you should be fine.

dd, most fem seeds have been altered genetically in some way, and could turn hermie a little easier than a female grown from seed. as Zandor said, if the environment is right, then they will be OK...I have great pct. of fem's when I grow from Non-fem'd seeds, because I keep them as close to stress free as possible during early development. So, don't stress them and they will stay fem...my $.02

zandor if you should wait 21-30 days before cutting, would the roots tangle from the mother plants in that period of time? in one of these systems. need to know cause these plants are growing fast, need the space.
Yes they can but it's not a real big deal most of the time. In my 96-plant cloner they tangle but when I take them out the un-tangle for the most part by them selfâ??s. A little pull but if you keep picking the up and rotating them the roots separate on a regular basis and you can hold them in there longer if that's what you need.

MObay, some guy on here.. awhile back... maybe it was HD.. not sure.. but he trimmed the shit outta his roots in a HYDRO system.. similiar to yours...
he did it as an experiment... he took pics for all of us to see... the plant with the trimmed roots, did just as well as the plants adjacent to it (without trimmed roots) in the hydro system..it was quite remakable actually...

Hey Knowm , That was me. It is good to know that you can trim them back to just above water level and not have adverse affects. It was a small drip system for the record. I'm going to try and keep a few mothers in hydro and trim the roots a few times to see how they do. Maybe too much stress but we will see. I will show it as soon as I get it set up and some more mothers going.
