Anyone else watch Top Gear?

It's just about my favorite show in the world. Of course living in the USA I have to download it each week which is fine because they are HD quality.

So I know this season is only a 6 episode season the last being next Sunday. But does that mean that they will have the start of the 8th season be early 2006? Like in Feb.? Or do we have to wait until next fall!?! I hate that BBC is doing this lame 6 season crap now. Like "Extras" was only a 6 episode season too. WTF?

Anyway does anyone know when the 8th season of Top Gear will start?

No idea, but I do love it :D

Many programmes, on all different channels have only 6 episodes each series.
Although, I got That '70s Show series 1 for xmas from my bro, and it has 25 episodes on it, oh my, lying in bed last night, hittin' the pipe, watching that, it was awesome :D

Sunday was Christmas, yesterday was Boxing day, so it's probably just what would have been on :)

With Christmas Day falling on Sunday I think it got put back until today, then hopefully normal service will resume next Sunday!

Pure Speculation though, but tonights definitely aint a repeat!

Apparently Top Gear got voted OverSeas Top Unscripted show or something recently!

BTW, The Yanks are Incapable of making a Decent Car!

Last week didn't Jeremy say it was the last episode of this series, and to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year? But if it was, there wouldn't be one on at all tonight!

Well the next new one will be the 6th and last episode of this season so they will just be re-runs starting next Sunday. And kind of hard to say that America doesnâ??t make any good cars when JC himself owns a Ford GT and Richard had a 69' Dodge Charger. Plus JC absolutely LOVED the new Focus calling it the PERFECT car for Britain!

Also donâ??t forget the Saleen S7 which Top Gear has never even talked about. Plus the new Vette is an INCREDIBLE car for its price. It destroys cars that cost 3 and 4 times as much! Just wait until the new Z06 comes out too! I do agree though that they put way to much electronic crap in the new Vette, who the hell needs automatic door openers?!?! They should leave all that shit off of it.

Also the Mustang is in this category, GREAT car for the price. The new SVT Cobra will be tits!

Can't make a Supecar I should have said! Look at the Corvette, WHY do the makers insist on making a supercar without Good Handling.

The corvette is not and has never been a "SUPERCAR"!! Where on earth did you get the idea that it is a supercar? Look at the production numbers! It's is not a supercar at all. It is GM's top SPORTSCAR. And itâ??s kind of hard to say it doesnâ??t handle well considering it beat the 911 GT3 around their test track!! Keep in mind that is was just the 400 bhp BASE vette and not the new 500bhp Z06 that will be out this year!

Wait Iâ??m confused. You listed straight line times for the TVR and Vette. And then say the Vette is "only happy in a straight line" Did you miss that the BASE vette beat the TVR around the Top Gearâ??s test track? You know a track with turns?? Again keep in mind that that was just the 400 bhp BASE vette and it costs less than half of what the TVR costs..

What it is that you are trying to say is this - You hate the vette because it is a mass produced car that has some very cheap parts and quality aspects to it in comparison with all other cars in its performance category. And I am saying that is EXACTLY what makes it so great. It is very cheap yet it is just a monster! It is very fast in a straight line, around corners, at any test you want to put it through!

Even they guys on Top Gear have given up that "only in a straight line" argument because it just is not true anymore. Like I said the 2006 Z06 will really shock a lot of people. The fact that such a cheap, mass produced car will be faster (around a track, not just in a straight line) than a long list of true "supercars" that cost many, many time more!

And Yes I would love to know who the stig is!

P.S. I'm not sure if anyone has run the cars on the same track yet, but EVERYONE in the car world has already acknowledged that the 06 Z06 will be faster than the Ferrari F430.

i love top gear, gota be the best show on tv. also the ferrari f430 would massacare a 06 zo6 round any race track, i still would mind the corvette though!

P.S. why does Top Gear have no commercials? When I download it it is a full hour with no breaks. Is BBC 2 a pay channel like HBO?

id still take the ferrari though! in britain we have a tv lisence, it cost around £100 a year, and it all goes to the bbc!even if you dont want to watch any bbc programs all year, we still have to pay a tv lisence!top gears the only good program on it!

Well I would take a F430 over a Z06 too!! I am a huge Ferrari fan boy, have been all my life. I think Ferraris are the best cars in the world without question!!

But I'm also realistic. The Z06 is $65k USD, the F430 is $200k USD!! I can realistically afford a Z06 and itâ??s really cool to know itâ??s actually a faster car!

The Z06 is like a huge gift to the world!! Itâ??s a poor manâ??s "Ferrari". Its power and performance almost unheard of at any price let alone at the price it actually costs. I donâ??t understand why people like to try to hate it so much. There is just not a faster production car on earth for the money!

So do you guys have any commercials on any of the BBC 1, 2, and 3 channels?

the bbc only advertises its own programs on its tv and radio stations, hence the lisencing fee, so no real adverts at all. if i had the cash for a Z06, i think id buy an audi rs4 for around the same price, maybe even a subaru impreza, but im happy with my ford focus for now!

I'm not a big VW/Audi fan so I would really never consider the RS4. Even though the RS4 is about the first good car they have made, that isnâ??t totally front heavy.

I love Subaru though. The STi would be a lot of fun even though its ugly. And believe it or not I have considered the turbo Forester! LOL I know its a wagon/estate but its also really fast, faster than the regular WRX. Plus it is really practical with lots of room in back.

I like the Focus a lot too. But at this point in my life I really donâ??t plan to ever buy a FWD car again. I drive one now (Acura RSX) but my next car will be AWD or RWD for sure. I hope Ford will someday make the production 300HP/turbo/AWD Focus like they have been talking about for 5 years now! ;)

i wish i had a 4 wheel drive car today, its been snowing in my area, a rare thing, and i took my focus for a spin. lets just say i now realise why FWD isnt any good in those conditions! i think my next car will be my old mans brand new 2.0TDI ford mondao, hes already racked up 9,000 miles in 4-5 months, nice car though

Yeah my RSX is TERRIBLE in the snow. my driveway is on a slight hill, not even that steep. But if we get 3" or more I get stuck trying to go up it every time! Plus the ABS kicks in way too early and often in the snow. I have come within inches of hitting the car in front of me several times because of the damn ABS. If I could just lock the breaks up I would be able to stop a lot sooner. A lot of that it the terrible stock Michelin Pilotâ??s I have on the car but still. It is just not a good snow car at all. And we average about 25â?� a year here and we have already had 15â?� just this winter so far.

Very nice! What year is that? Nice rims too. I have an old 95 Protege (was sold as the 323 in Japan and Europe) that I use as my winter beater. Does anyone own a Renault Megane? I have a Corsa at the moment but I am gonna get something bigger/better and was thinking about either a Megane or Escort. Anyone own either of them?

I used to have a 1600 Megane. Nice Car, but drink the juice like a bitch, and are awfully kitted out inside. The interior on most of the old ones were horrendous.

The New Megane though, I believe are well worth the money!

Well yes but Renault owns 44% of Nissan and Nissan owns 55% of Renault. Also certain cars have huge contributions from Renault. The Infiniti G35 (I donâ??t know what its called in the UK or even if you guys have it) was mostly styled by Renault.
P.S. its the same body style as the new Skyline sold in Japan.
