Cats are sometimes smarter than humans... Thats why I have a dog.. lol
You might want to look around where there home is if its not too far away.
Cats unlike dogs have there own mind and rarely minds humans commands. Being free in a new neighborhood is like a kid at a new play ground.
When they are done prowling and investgating along with meeting new friends they will be looking for home. If your place was a second home he might come to you... But more than likely he'll be looking for his home.
I hope you found him by now... or he found you which is the usual case.
As for your daughter... Man.. broken up families are the worse for kids.
I was raised with-out a father... And I feel better off the way I was raised than if my parents were split up.
Am sure once Christmas settles down and daughter comes home with her loot she will be fine...
Christmas can be very evil sometimes... Last night I was walking my dog at 2am and came across a family fight... What was sad was looking at the 2 4-5 year olds standing in the door way in there jammies crying.
So, get drunk, smoke lots and lots of marijuana and enjoy your daughter when she returns... hope the kitty is okay too.. Keep them inside!

still havent found the cat and worry as his home is quite far away and there are too many roads round where he lives feel so shit wouldnt be so bad but he got out from a third floor window!! mad cat jumped out during the night i'm pretty sure he's not hurt as i'm sure if he was i'd have found him.
as for my daughter she's only four and i know she'll be home soon and back to normal me her and her brother but she tells me all the time she wants to live with her dad! i hate that we are a broken family i never wanted my ids to have that but unfortunatly i couldn't control their dad he chose to wal away.
