i think theyre all right, better than a bunch of other crap. Joshua Tree was pretty cool. as for music now, i think its just all the shitty bands getting the limelight that obscures the real good stuff, thus the whole underground sensation
i think 95% of the actual rock sucks too man. way too commercial, no fuckin imagination...Quote:

I don't like U2 or rock.
1. To disable or disfigure, usually by depriving of the use of a limb or other part of the body. See Synonyms at batter1.
2. To make imperfect or defective; impair.
oh i see lol
anyone knows a good actual rock band? coz all the good rocks band i like are from the 70-80s...
I have been a U2 fan since I was in Junior High. That was when Unforgettable Fire came out back in the 80s. I have seen U2 in concert 4 times. I will quote Louis Armstrong to answer your question - "If you have to as you will never know".
I'm not that big of a U2 fan now but I still like them. I plan on paying over $100 for tickets to their show this coming summer. U2 is a great band, they just have something most other bands donā??t. They are not the best musicians in the world but they are great performers, great song writers, and they put on one of the greatest show on earth! When you leave a U2 concert you feel like you have just witnessed something amazing! Almost like you got to be a part of some kind of miracle on earth. I donā??t know.
Oh and the name U2 comes from the name of the U2 spy plane from the cold war era. You really didnt know that?
yeah because bono has a good voice and he yells for long periods of time doesnt make them good
i have found some u2 lyrics:
There must be some way out of here
Said the joker to the thief
Thereā??s too much confusion here
I canā??t get no relief
Businessmen they drink my wine
Plowmen dig my earth
None of them know along the line
What any of this is worth
wat does that mean
i was vibin to Queens of the Stone Age while back, theyre pretty good, havent chekkd em out in a while thoQuote:

The big deal with U2 is that they were basically rock gods in the 80's and up until '92 with the release of Achtung baby.
After that they basically went downhill in my view.
They used to be very politically active and Bono still is but really they are riding the huge fan base that they created 15-20 years ago.
So for today's kids, and me U2 is kinda lame now.
LOL dude you are an idiot. That is "all along the watchtower" which was written by Bob Dylan!! U2, like every other band in the world, just covered it! Even Jimmy Hendrix did a VERY famous cover of that song. So ask Bob Dylan what those lyircs mean...Quote:

Those lyrics that you guys were quoting were from BOB DYLANS "All Along the Watchtower" that Jimi Hendrix covered.
U2 was covering Dylan not Hendrix. Sheesh.
