Amateur grower needs help/advice/suugestions

Hi Gang
Any advice would be appreciated on the following.

I think I am about 4 weeks off harvesting, can anyone recommend any methods to increase yield.

When shouls I stop giving nutrients ( I heard someone mention flushing ) what does this mean.

we have a product called super bud that is given for the last 4 week of flowering, has anyone heard of it and does it make any difference.

Hope I am not pushing it with all the questions but any advice would be appreciated. I also enclose piccies, again any advice would be great.

p.s dont slate me too much I am still only an amateur on a limited budget.

What kind of soil did you use and what ferts have you given them ? If you are pretty sure about 4 more weeks to go as it is hard to tell in the picture I would feed them at least once more and than you have a 2 week window to flush and just use water.

i used normal compost ( the kind you get cheaply at garden centres) Usigna nutrient called Ionic which I think is a basic nutrient aswell. Like I say not very well up on techniques but thanks for the advice. I will give them one more good feed with nutrients and then water only. Thanks for youe help

Got these plants under 2 x 600w HPs woudl you say this was enough light or do I need to move up to 1000hps x 2. Also got a hefty extractor in the room should this be left on all the time or does it need to be on in short bursts.

Sorry for all the questions jsut wanted to get a decent liitle system even beter.

Are you talking about DM's Super Bud ?

its cool on questions man, ive heard good things about superbud but ive never used it, your plants look pretty good except for some browning, i cant tell you anything about flushing because i dont know myself.happy growings.

thanks for the replies guys I am not sure who manufactures Super Bud, the reason I ask you guys ( the experts) is because someone told me it increases yield by over 50% btu it makes your plants look like they are dying and that is somewhere I dont wanna go. Think I will stick with the method I have used in the past although this is my first grow this year due to an infestation of spidermites that totally screwed things up.

fush your plants means stpop giving nutes as invised in the first post by mrlazybons and just give water for two weeks to flush out the nutes i personaly after flushing the last 2 or 3 weeks i dont give them anything let the plant give out all its goodness but you look as if your doin just great keep it up and dont worry about the questions as the guys and girls on this site are bang on and really know thier stuff and will share thier knowledge openly i joined this site at the beggining of the month and the quest for knowledge is flowing thanks to the peple on this site so keep asking they live to teach

how big is that room?

Thanks for the help. Had a look at them last nite ans some of the hairs on the lower buds ( weird ) are starting go amber. in response to the question the room size is about 8ft by 8ft ( spare bedroom). I am going to didvide it up after xmas any suggestions on dimensions for growing approx 40 plants in soil I have 2 x 600w lights in there at the moment but could get my hands on another if I reduce the light to my motheres which are in a small closet in a different place. if you saw one of my other posts you would have noticed that I had probelms with my last crop as there was no smell to it at all but i think this was because I was misting twice a day to keep the spidermite problem down. I have stopped doing this now and the smell and stickyness has come back tenfold. One last question is it now time to start taking all the fan leaves off as I red somewgere that is the correct thing to do but I dont want to fuck anything up by being too creative.

But yea, you got loads of plants man, im sure they will turn out smokable :D we currently have... one :/ but were going ghetto kinda, and in need of advise like you.

Weed boy I have had this strain for quite a while now but dont no wot it is apart from that it smokes real good. Good luck with your new venture I no how hard it is to get things up and running but I have been fortunate cos the advice given on here has been excellent. I split 50/50 with my mate once harvested and I dont sell on this gives me a good crop that lasts for ages which seems to better for me cos I had major problems with spidermites, they are fuckers to get rid of, once this lot is cut down I can close the grow room down for a bit.

The real meaning of "Flush" is to pour about 2-3 times the amount of water though your pot that the pot size is. You'll see a yellowish tint at first coming from the drain holes in your pot and eventually it will turn clear. I usually do that when I'm two weeks from harvest. Good luck!! :thumbsup:
