Lets talk about CRACK and COCAINE!

Well as this is the Other Psychotropics forum and the defination of 'psychotropic' is "n. A psychotropic drug or other agent; adj. Having an altering effect on perception, emotion, or behavior. Used especially of a drug." I believe cocaine qualifies as a psychotropic. Besides, if people can discuss vile subtances such as alcohol on Cannabis.com (in the lounge no ness) than cocaine should not be exempt.
I have smoked crack and snorted cocaine on several occassions over the past few years and though it is over-rated and not the best CNS stimulant I prefer it over amphetamine and methylphenidate.
One of the most memorable experiences I have had smoking crack was with two of my friends. We bought a decent quantity of some good rock from this black dude and went to a local park where we stood inside a port-a-pottie taking hits of crack from a glass stem we made ourselves. We had lots of fun.
The best part about crack to me is the taste and oral anesthetic effects produced, the tooth-numbing sensation produced by cocaine is also really cool.

No doubt that cocaine is addictive. I myself before smoking rock have thought to myself that it really isn't worth the money and then after taking a few hits think "or is it...?", but I recognize that is just chemical induced and it is very easy to just smoke a rock and be content. I don't care what the media tells you, nobody gets addicted their first time and (ab)users make the conscious decision to keep using. After that you can call it genetic, a disease or what have you but it takes initial continuous, conscious use of a substance to become physically addicted.

I also believe that the law makes it tremedously more difficult to use cocaine safely or allow addicts to support themselves in such a manner that tobacco smokers and drinkers do. In fact the use of cocaine by chewing the leaves of the coca plant as found in nature produces a mild stimulation equivalent to a couple cups of coffee and has not been shown to be addictive or detrimental to health.

Nope. This is the retaliation in homage of the crack thread that did get deleted. The original thread was started by my friend Juggalo420, he was actually with me smoking crack in that port-a-pottie. I am ashamed that it was deleted so quickly and without proper judgement, now lets really talk about some crack.

Yeah, I've done Cocaine a few times... and never have I had any immediate uges to do it again. So all of that addicted after the first try is bullshit, considering I've done it four times and haven't wanted to do it for months since I the last try.

The first time I tried it I was at a friends and me, my friend, his sister and her friend all got together for a night alone without the parents. We got some beers (for the kiddies) and some wine (for the older peeps) and got high and chatted, played Donkey Kong and stuff. I only had a few beers and my friend didn't even finish one before he started rolling another joint. (doesn't like Alcohol too much)

So anyways... the people with jobs got really hammered and his sisters friend brought out a small bag. When I saw dunking her nose into it, I realized what it was... the EVIL COCA! She jokingly asked if I wanted to try it, but then said that I shouldn't cause I was too young... buuut we convinced her otherwise as they were both drunk, they caved and I finally got to try it. I did a small line at first to get a taste of it... then I knew why I saw people in the movies rubbing it on their gums, so I did the same. The icy effect is what I liked... we talked a bunch and eventually the evening got ruined because the coke-ladies' boyfriend called and gave her shit about something... needless to say things exploded. Alcohol and coke, I found out that night, DID NOT MIX. There was alot of yelling and anger... it was interesting to say the least.

Isnt it so easy to tell the people who have never tried it from people who have healthily expiremented. Theres a site on erowid pretty much debunking all the evil studies of coke. Like say the one where the mice would inject themsleves with coke untill they died. Well the circumstances were a lil different than a normal persons. Such as: they had an IV surgically implanted into their back, they had endless cocaine, a step on a big button would inject it, they were given no food or water, and they were isolated. In fact they found that giving the mice a stimulant as small as sugar water greatly reduced the "success" rate of the expirement. Mice no in isolation rarely chose cocaine over their mice buddies.and according to the forensic science book I had last year, cocaine was listed as moderately addicting by the US Govt (foget which branch, dont believe it was DEA though.. might have been) And nicotine as highly addicting. Its psychological addiction is the killer, since its such a pleasurable drug. So in other words, weak minded people without friends, without food for 3 days, and without any stimulant so much as sugar water may be in danger from getting their lives ruined from cocaine.

Given an endless supply of coke, and a button to inject it, I can see how those mice would get addicted. Human studies would be of more value, where do I sign up? Coke is neither an instant addiction or harmless. Use it in a rational way, it's cool. Go nuts on it, it will ruin your life. That is true of any drug, double so of cocaine.

I'm so confused... in 6th grade Officer Barrigan (in health class) told me that crack just made prostitutes and homeless people. How can those of you that have tried it even afford the internet?
