Im new to bongs. i know people use grinders for joints and i was curious if it helps with bongs as well.

I break mine up so it all burns. I see people put big nugs in bowls and most of the time it burns the outside but wont burn to the middle so weed is wasted.
You can buy screens for bongs called "daisy screens" or "Jacks" they differ in size so can adjust depending on your bongs bowl size.
These work great to make sure weed doesnt fall through when you break it up for a bowl.
Basically I think its a personal preference try both ways and see what you like best.
Nothing like trial and error.

I just put pinch off a piece and pack the bowl. I only find a grinder good 4 rolling larger cigs
when using the grinder do you leave the seeds in? like say you have some schwag and it has mad and seeds and you dont feel like picking them out cuz it gives you a neckache, can you just grind up everything and smoke it?
Yeah I always grind it and use a screen with my bong. I even us a screen with the tinny little one hitter bowl for my bong. My whole thing is about using as little pot as possible. That might be because I have had a hard time finding any lately but it has made me realize that when I have a lot I really waist it. Loading up a big bowl and pulling it really hard does two things, one like HTS said you often only burn the outside, and two you pull a lot of un smoked weed through to the water.Quote:

It doesn't matter.
There's the myth that smoking seeds will give you a headache (I've smoked straight seeds before..don't ask...and I never got a headache) and another that it lowers your sperm count or something (I'm a chick, I don't know) so really the seeds thing is up to you. I personally perfer not to grind it up unless I'm rollin' a j and just break off some and pack it into the bowl, I for some reason have this theory that it burns slower but I'm told other-wise ;)..it's up to you, make sure no bits get into the steam/water, 'cause that'd be icky.
