Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

I recorded it (courtesy of Sky+) and watched it this morning, smoked 4 bowls throughout the film's duration.
Let me start off by saying I thoroughly enjoyed it, and am now about to ask for it on Dvd for Christmas :D

I am telling you this because I want you to answer something for me.
What is that small package thing they break open (I can't remember Johnny or Benecio's characters names lol) and sniff, that gets them really fucked up? It kind of looks like powder to me.. I was thinking mescaline, but then thought against it, someone like to confirm this for me?

Anyway, I'm glad I saw it was on tv, and glad that many of you on here have posted about the film and rated it so highly.

The 1st time I saw fear and loathing - I didnt like it, but maybe its one of those movies you need to watch twice so I will give it another go before I make up my mind. I dont see how I cant like a drug-themed movie..... :confused:

I love Raoul's (Depp's) voice, the way he talks in monotone llol.

I really liked it first time, and have asked for it for xmas now :D

FaLiLV is my fucking bible dude, it's like a friggen car or something driving and you have to have the steering wheel, I have to have this movie. Possibly one of Jonny Depps GREATEST acting positions.

Yes, I enjoy that movie, and after seeing it so many times throughout the years, I watched it last week and I still laugh my ass when I watch it. So yes, I quite enjoy that movie.

If you ask me, Johnny Depp got that role down perfect! After seeing Depp, then watching Hunter, the only diff. I could find between them was the age.

the stuff they break open is amole nitrate (i think). best part is when they relize what they have been doing to the little girl. and picture her in the cortroom saying they fed me lsd... and they just dropp her off on some corner. great movie, i had it on vhs, but i watched i so mutch the tape broke.

the stuff in the package? what did they do after they opened the package and i can probably tell you.

It was a small white capsule/small package and they broke it in half, put it under one nostril and snorted it. It wasn't coke as it made them like just go.. lol.
Kinda like the effects Raoul got from the pure human adrenaline the doc had lol :p

Also it wasn't amyl nitrate (poppers) as that's a liquid, in a bottle, and it doesn't kick your ass like that stuff looks like, llol.

thats how they did coke in the movie. it was in little coin wrapper like package so they idnt have to do lines or pur it on a spoon or anything like that. so it is coke. final answer.

Oh ok, well it makes Benicio Del Toro kind of pass out when he has a sniff in the car, also when under the influence of it, they snort coke off a knife, so they wouldn't take coke 2 different ways I wouldn't have thought.

I was thinking that, but it maked Benecio pass out and Raoul like get fucked and fall backwards, and also they snort some coke off a knife just after sniffing that package at one point, so I wouldn't have thought they'd take coke twice in different ways, and also I don't think they would react quite like that to charlie :p

'Cause it was on Sky+ can only watch it on the one tv, in the lounge. I want it on dvd to watch up here, and also my mum deleted it earlier :p

It is actually the concentrated form of Amyl-Nitrate, it's much better but i can't remember the name of it for shit, but that's what it is. I also love the fact they have ether in that film..


My mate's got the front cover with all the bats and the warped helmet tattooed on his arm, trippy.

At least that's what i'm told by someone who adores the film, i'm not saying it's correct. I've only seen it once...

i first saw it when i was younger and didnt like it cuz i didnt know those things at the time but now that i do, that chuffin movie is great.
