The topic basically says it all. Being a fairly novice smoker, I've only smoked out of a joint and a blunt, but I'm curious to see what all the fuss is about concerning pipes and bongs. Does anyone have a link or some personal feedback I can get to enlighten myself on the subject? If I did buy a pipe I wouldn't really know how to go about smoking it. Thanks.
i like pipes better because you dont lose as much weed. as cool as it may seem to be puffing a joint surrounded by a haze of smoke most of that smoke is coming from your joint and should not be in the air but in you geting you high. go to www.everyonedoesit.com and make youself a homemade bong becasue seeing as youve just started smoking, you probably dont have a whole lot of weed to throw around
oh, and about how to smoke a pipe, you get a filter from a headshop (or use a faucet filter, the little mesh thing thats at the end of most bathroom faucets, those are just as good if not better) and put it in the little bowl at the end. springle on some weed, and light.
Having too little weed isn't an issue. I have...good connections. :rasta:

make yourself a bong for smoking at home and if youre on th road for like a week bring a pipe. if you're gonna smoke at a concert or somewhere like that where being caught is a slight possibility than roll a joint. join gets u high, pipe gets u higher and bong gets you the highest
haha sweet man! welcome to the world of magicaljuana. since your 20 im sure your connections told u about stoner etticuite and stuff, (standard procedure to educate cuz it annoys us lol). oh and yes i would DEFINATLY invest in a nice glass piece. so much better than joints. and youll save weed and u can pack as many green hits as u want. dude pipes and bongs are teh way to go. (assuming u dont want to spent 500bucks on a volcano lol. ) peace.

Bongs Bongs Bongs. Vapes and pipes are good too but I've recently been kind of turned off from joints after my friend took three jokers and rolled an 1/8 joint and i didnt even get as high as I should've. Blunts are pretty sick too.
yea joints are nice to pass around but they really waste alot of weed...and for me buyin a 20sac a week i cant afford to roll Js lol.
i have a vape a bong and a pipe. i like the pipe best. and i got connects like federal express to fresh pack of the bless that the dogs cant fetch.
Treat yourself to a nice, quality glass bowl. You're going to get a superior taste and burn. That's not to mention the aesthetic quality and class of a decent spoon. They're beautiful, and a pleasure to smoke. Pipes are just as portable, if not a little bigger, than joints, they're easy to pack so you don't have to hassle with papers, and they conserve your weed better than a joint would. They excel in portability where the much revered bongs fail. And I love bongs.
Go for a medium sized piece. Too small and you're going to have to pack too many times with friends, too big and the piece might feel too clunky, and will be more of a problem when taking places.
Nothing beats a nice thick insideout glass bubbler. Fill it with ice cold water & get nice smooth hits everytime! Only downside is, uses more weed. If you're more economical, use a glass pipe...they burn less weed than everything else (joints, blunts, bongs)
I can't roll joints, i have 2 bowls and a bubbler but i usually use my Vaporizer. I mix it up a lot though.
i absolutley love blunts - the kid across the street hates em and only smokes pieces - calls me and my friends niggers haha - but bongs are a real close 2nd for me - i like the act of hitting a bong

I just had a joint, and trust me guys, it was only from some shake. Anyway, I bought a 5" handpipe and a 5" bubbler for $23 shipped from a cool dude off this forum. He has glass pipe sales going on in the advertising area. Anyway, I can't wait to get those. How does a bubbler use more weed than a handpipe? Also, how do I smoke a glass pipe in order to get the most out of it?
well you put the green in the bowl, remove every inch of air from your lungs, light the bowl, take a deep breath from the pipe only, and you might cough a lil...and than be extremely high! if you have a lil extra hole on your pipe, that is call a carb, when you inhale leave your thumb on this lil hole until the chamber is full of white smoke, and than release!Quote:

Whenever im with my friends we always smoke a blunt. Blunts burn sooo slow and are great for when ur smoking with a bunch of people. You can also fit a shitload of pot in a blunt. one time my friend rolled a 9 gram gotti, it was insane :stoned:
I think that it's important for new smokers to spend a bit of money collecting the equipment before they get so into the bud that they're spending all their money on that. Like now that your just kinda goin with it, I would say cruize over to www.grasscity.com and pickup some shit, it's cheap as fuck over there and good quality glass. Get a bong, a pipe, a chillum, a water pipe, and maybe a vape. Then you can roll like me with a 36" hookah later on.

o yeah glass is the only way to go when buying peices, as far as weed conservation goes a bucket is definently my favourite, for groups i like a nice fat blunt, and for any other possible occasion its a bubbler. if i want to get really really baked i call up my dealer and tell him to warm up the volcano
I use glass pipes and bongs use to make home made ones all the time that worked great but glass is king IMO, i bought my pipes and bongs from scutty on this website great guy, greatly recommend him before he runs out of items!
I have my wooden sherlock holmes pipe. It's makeshift but it works like a charm. Once I smoked out of an apple stem. Now that was creative!

In a rush cant read all the replys, but my personal favorite is smoking about one blunt a day because they are great for shotguns, and the rest of the day i just smoke bowls or bongs.
Gravity bong, or bong, or pipe. In that order
