I found this today and i bought it, i was wondering if every1 thought it would be safe to run 2 CFL's in it, or if they think its a fire hazzard, theres a pic attached, and it will be attached to an extension cord.

turn it into a bong!!!!woooo!!!!
Maybe this would be better posted in the growing forum.
i have it there and still no replys
No ground prong, so not the safest but those compact fluorescents draw minimal current.
Compensate for the lack of ground by ensuring it will never get wet, dont use a long extension cord ( shorter the better).
As long as you use it on a circuit that isnt carrying a heavy load already you wont experience any problems.
Check it to see if it is rated and for how much current/amps or how much wattage it can handle. It might be stamped on the y connector itself or on the package it came in. if it exceeds the ratings on both of your bulbs you should be ok and I concur with FunkyMonkey on the ground thing.
Also, make sure that total current draw does not exceed the circuit you are on.
most household circuits are 10 to 15 amps so if you're on the same circuit with lights and fans and such, make sure they are not exceeding the circuit or you will be fucking with tripping breakers all the time.
yeh its rated for 660 watts on the thing and im thinkin on wrappin the 9ft extension on some sorta plastic
you should use it to change one bong mouthpiece into two...double the pleasure...
or you could melt it in the microwave
OR you could submit it to a PAP (pop-art place)
(edit)
1,000 posts...yeah...mwahahaha...
lol u hit ur 1000th post on my topic, i feel honored
Well the 660 is good but what are you trying to accomplish with the plastic on the cord..oh wait...the grounding thing. Try using one of those ziploc plastic containers and ust cut holes to fit the cords. If you're feeling real ambitious you can seal the holes with silicone which should keep any moisture out but still let you get to the connections if you need to...ain't science neat??Quote:
