Is anybody out there over 30??
		Hi all,
New to this posting thing. Not since the late 80's or early 90's when I was still "borrowing" access to AOL and using their IM service while taking tech support calls. Any other "reliable and fair" old hippies here in the north metro area of the Twin Cities, email me at [email protected].
I'm too old to go bar hopping or campus cruising. Lost a "gardener" this summer to a bust, another good friend dropped off the earth. Can't seem to find anything or anyone.

Chicago is a great town. I once told my wife that if a pretty british girl ever tried to pick me up (I know...dream on) I would be hard put to say no.
I just love those accents. Thanks for saying hi.

		36. Damn, when you have to stop and think about it, you know you're getting old. How did that old Pink Floyd song go? "one day you wake to find, ten years have come and gone" truer words were never spoken.

yahr! will be 41 in 40 days matey!! i remember buying 1/4 oz. of christmas tree sensimilla for 35 bucks in 1983....damn fine smoke that was! it was a fortune to us, but worth it as it would last a long time. all you needed was a couple bowls to be stoned for a good two to three hours. we also could get some stuff called "monkey dick" that was unreal. true two toke redbud that would make you laugh for hours. nowadays i'm lucky to find some swag that looks like dirt and tastes like dirt....kinda like the cheap colombian that was around at the end of the eighties, not the seventies acupuolco gold but real dirt!

Is anybody out there over 30??
Oh the good old days...thai sticks, aculpulco gold, redbud, jamaican...all for under $100 an oz. On the other hand...these fancy new strains are really nice.
 Ain't science neat??

way back when in the 70's when the cops would just take your shit and send you home...then have a big party of their own. Then again, all those guns and spliff had to be a bad combo.

never did smoke thai stick, heard about it though. i have yet to smoke any of this "new strain" stuff. rural areas make more money off crack and coke and crystal meth so weed isn't a big mover. i've decided to grow my own so after i learn how using bag seed i will try something exotic.

Try Northern Lights. Very good plant for the beginner! Tastes like hash and what a buzz!! Real forgiving plant, no matter how many rookie mistakes ya make, she keeps on bouncing back for more! Good Luck!!!

never smoked any of the new "hybrids", but the old swag that you got from any dealer was better than the swag you get today. christmas tree was awesome, red and white hairs, sticky and smelled just like a christmas tree. red bud was dense, sticky and would put you down for a few hours. lamb's bread was very white, super chatty high. girls would yak for hours after smoking some. we used to get mexican called "paraquat" that was awful. would make your mouth numb and would make you stupid for a few hours. we found out later that is was sprayed with a herbicide called..you guessed it...paraquat. horrible stuff, smelled like molasses! me and my brother used to grow afghan outdoors. hard to get it to a true "sinsemilla" if anyone else was growing within a five mile radius but man that was good! super smelly, you could smell a mature plant from thirty yards away. would make your heart race and your mind free. my brother grew a plant in a vacant lot across the street from our parents that he harvested when it was about eight feet tall. he got over a pound of buds off it and we silkscreened hash off the lower buds and trim. it was so big it was scary....the best thing was it was almost in plain sight of the street. no one would expect a plant to be growing there. damn, those were good times!

I think that there is a lot more primo on the market these days. There really weren't a lot of strains around in the late 60's early 70's. Truly high end weed was simply called sinsemilla. (not named after guns and smurfs and gum)
And most people were extremely leery of homegrown since it was hard to find decent seeds much less the right lighting and growing gear. And there was no where near as much info on how to grow.
I know it's hard to believe, but there were no pc's back then much less the internet. And it was unlikely that your local library would be carrying Ed Rosenthal, much less the local bookstore. (althought there were "underground" bookstores and head shops) And thanks for making me age myself but as a friend of mine taught me,
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good as I ever was once.
