i just rad it on here and put it into place like 14 hours ago.
you put an air stone at the bottom of pot put and use a fish tank air pump to make it like a bubbler in a hydor setup. this gives more oxygen to the roots to help roots frow faster and increase the nutrient up take by the pland.
you get faster growing plants in soil. i used alot of perlite in my soil mix and after 14 hours the thing is super perky.

Let me get this straight. You are putting an air stone bubbler to pump extra oxygen to the roots in soil?

yep. it works realy well. i saw a dramatic improvment in my plants within 12 hours.
it was kicking ass untill a light fell on on of my plants. that sucked

that's called deep water culture, DWC, or bubblers...that's how I grow 70% of my crops.lw

So.... this would be DSC... Deep Soil Culture?
LoL!
I'm going hydro, but I find this idea amazing... What a simple concept!
Everyone remember! You heard it here @ Cannabis.com first! Not Overgrow or some other place! HERE!!! WUhuuu!!!

yea it works well. and nice call on the DSC. i liked that. i guess it's not realy hydro at all but ittakes something used in hydro andadds it to soil to increase growth rates.
i want $5 for telling youguysthis idea. thats 5 from each of you. :D

Yeah 1 part perlite, 1 part bat guano, 1 part orcid mix soil, 1 part worm castings, and mycogrow. Then 2 airstones in the bottom of the pot with superthrive. With that forumula you'll get hydroponic quality soil grow. :rasta:

I have my doubts about that statement. Lets see pictures and grow details. I know how fast and big you can grow in Hydroponics VS. Dirt farming so please give more details.
I'm listing.

hey man relax, no need to get antagonistic. That there is a variation of a friends recipie. I added in the mycogrow. The shit that I smoked a long ass time ago that was grown in that formula was top noch. I believe the strain was afgani. Im not making claims against hydroponics in fact I only grow aeroponicly. However when I smoked the bud from a forumula very close to that It was amazing. If I hadn't have known it wasn't I would have said that it was hydropnic.
I know that Ill probley be instulted, and ensuing flames are coming. Im just reporting what I know. What I know is, what I saw grow, I saw picked/dried, and what I smoked. I probly am gonig to do this mix soon and will gladly post a grow log and race against some hydroponic, and aeroponic.
This mix is a wonderful mix and I would recomend it to anyone wanting to try it out.

I'm not flaming you dude, hell I'm being nice. You just made some interesting claims and I'm asking for specific details. At no point did I say anything negative
When I go off people know....lol
You have my attention and I am just waiting on very specific details if you can. It sounds like an interesting concept. I was thinking of maybe it will work for mothers and then you can clone faster.
Do you now more about the setup?

Thats pretty much the gist of, it Was grown in an open grow room indoors, under 4 HID lights. 18/6 lighting schedule I think, and was under drip. He always had drip systems, cool ass guy too. Anyways, it was some good ass bud. I at least couldn't tell the difference between your run of the mills hydro and this bud. It was fuckin nice. Very clear and mood high. Definately made you feel very euphoriant but still cohearant. It was some nice ass shits. But the setup really wasn't that impressive, just a simple mixture like I said with a couple store bought air stones at the bottom. He had 2 pumps feeding into the system, one for each stone.
It really wasn't that impressive of a setup but for soil, that was the best soil based bud ive ever smoked and I havn't smoked any better from then on.

i don't have pics. or much experience with it. but i did jsut it on theis grow i just started. it made my plant get super perky. like perkier than i've ever seen any of my plants. it grew at a way faster rate than it had been or any oght lant has. i will try to get you a pic if i get a camera.

Thanks guys, it could be worth playing with a seed or too.
Just to pass the time, you know.
Intresting.

A fish pump? can you get a pic of one similar to the one your using ..sounds interesting ...why dont you just get a big air compresser and build the air up and let it spray from the bottom up all day with 50% dirt 50% perlite then see how "perky" they get lol thell look like a mohawk :D

i am using something like this. an air compresser is a lot of pressure. this thing is quite and it is already set up to pump air into air stones. witha compressor you would have to rig somehting up. plus its super quiet.
-

wheres the air come from?
-
easiest hydro setup.. for any one
the pump has an intake. it sucks ari in and then pmps it out of a hole or holes that you can attach tubes to to carry the air to the airstones.
it works just like a compressor but wihtout the tank to hold air and it't is desind to be quiet.

aircompressor would damage the roots. Thats the exact same pump that I use for my old hyro bucket setup. That would be perfect.

Hey syrrus are you sure there may not have been a second bucket? You know the catch bucket, the one that catches the water run-off? Could the air stones have been in that bucket? That may make sense like a DWC for dirt farmers....(that's funny)
BTW - You are talking about dirt farming in the Hydroponic section.....:)
Some may be offended............lol

it's dirt but it's a hydro technech. i put it here to let poeple who want to do hydro but don't have the space or bucks for the set up have a little something to play with.
plus we got DSC out of this thread. can't beat that.

lol the air compressor thing was a joke

zandor it was sitting in a pan for water collection.
-

a pan of water??? you put the ari stone in a pan of water?
i was talking about putting them in the bootom of a pot.
-
easiest hydro setup.. for any one
I keep my mothers in 5 gallon buckets they have about 100 holes drilled for drainage. There is a second bucket that catches the run-off water. If I put a 6" net pot in the bottom of the catch bucket it would be close to the idea of KBS growing. Put the air stones in the bottom bucket and let about 6 or 8" of run-off water hold in the catch bucket.
That is what I was thinking just to be clear.
-

No the soil pots were in a pan for run off water collection.
-

Zandor i think you should do it. YTou sho8uld test it. I mean it is loggical and makes sense right? And i don't know but i think you would have room for 1 plant in soil. I'll pesonaly supply you with some seeds to run the comparison. i'm interested to see how it compares to hydro.

iv read a thread about useing an airstone in soil not too long ago
