SMOKING YOUR LIGHTER??? EEEK!

hey u guys i swear im not high right now. lol. no seriously, try this rite now if u dont believe me. when u put a lighter to ur nicely packed bowl and breathe in, the flame goes down and lights the weed, but u also breathe in lighter fumes! AAHH! sriuosly try it! take ur pipe bong watever the hell, make sure theres no weed in it so u can try this. light ur lighter and just like breathe in like u regularly would, and then take it away from ur mouth and theres this sick ass taste in ur mouth from the lighter. wut the hell? can neone explain? im sure this is bad for u right?

you can actually light the weed without touching the flame it... just get it close enuf to transfer the heat, and no more problem

Get a butane torch. It'll cherry the weed so fast that you'll avoid inhaling too much of the gas.

where in massachusetts are you all from?

When the lighter fluid burns, you get flame, CO2 and H20, plus some particulate carbon and impurities. In terms of harm to your lungs/body, the weed is way worse for you, if only because of the sheer volume of smoke inhaled.

I always thought that if you let the match burn a little before you light the bowl...most of the sulfur is burned away...maybe I'm completly wrong though.

do not touch the flame to the weed, just let it start to redden and smolder...


if you have it smoldering, stop the lighter, and you should be able to toke without fire, but toke lightly; not too lightly, you dotn want the pot to stop smoldering, but not to hard, same deal.


bongs are the best for semi-vaporization :P

um, well, as all the gas BURNS when you light the lighter, you really should have no worries about inhaling gas...

o well... ive seen worse, people who pack a cherried bowl down with a lighter are vapourizing the clear coat on the lighter which is probably way worse then a little gas waste that probably gets burned up in the frst place. dont believe theres a highly toxic clear coat on a lighter? try and write on one with a permanent marker, it rubs right off

Bic lighters burn the cleanest.

That "sick ass taste" was probably the resin you were smoking out of your bong...not lighter fluid...
Don't use Zippo's for bongs.. or pipes.. that's the worst kind of fluid to ingest. butane torches burn fairly clean.. but personally i wouldn't use them for a bong in fear of melting either a rubber seal ..or my hand.

As for matches.. they're okay to use.. The best thing to do is to actually let the match burn for a few seconds to burn off any chemicals in the match head...the stick is usually only cardboard paper.

like usually i use a long barbecue lighter with the child safety device clicker, the ones with the big long black things and at the end come the flame, well i use one of those so i dont burn my fingers off, and i noticed on the high setting, sometimes for a couple of seconds, there are whisps of black smoke.
