Hi all, I'm new here!
I was wondering if you could all help me by giving me an idea of what to expect.
I'm 15 years old, and Ive got the opportunity to try out some weed at weekend with my mate, and I wondered what it will be like.
What does getting high feel like?
How long will it take to get sober again?
Any other info I should know?

just dont expect anything otherwise, you won't feel what you should...but don't smoke too much first, but if you do smoke too much nothing bad will happen!!! thats what is great about pot, if you have a bad trip it's not harmful, you will only feel paranoid that is easy to control!! So just put in your favorite cd, or if you like soft music it is the best! the high is comparable to when you are fighting aginst your sleep, but you are a lil more lost and you might laugh a lil!!

Take it easy and just enjoy yourself. If your toking with someone whos experienced then don't feel temted to try and keep pace. Don't feel too put off if you don't get high the first few times aparently some people don't.

if i were u i would expect the munchies, comedy, and forgetfull ness, mixed with good times, and atleast an hour or two or being ripped, make sure u hit the chron for ur first time~
dude just try not to overthink.....dont try to pick out wats different cuz if u do that u wont feel it....u will be able to act completly normal in like a couple hours even if u get completly smacked off ur ass......just let ur mind float free...happy tokin man
You probably won't get high the first time. Depending on the quality of what you're smoking, you may start to feel what I call "fuzzy-headed." This can happen when you're smoking low-potency cannabis, and it's not the same as being high. It took me six attempts to get high, and the sixth was a very high dose. I sincerely doubt you will experience any paranoia the first time you get high. The first is usually blissful beyond anything you've ever experienced.
As for what it feels like, if you DO get high, you will know. At first you will just feel very relaxed and pleasant. Then the feelings of euphoria will become more intense. You may find that you have a greater appreciation of everything around you: friends, music, movies, and life in general. You may find you're thinking about things in ways you never have before. Your thinking may also be disorganized, and you might find everything humorous. Your heartrate will probably increase somewhat, but this is normal and nothing to worry about. You may even start to hallucinate if you have a very high dose (I did my first time). If you do, just enjoy the trip. After one to three hours of feeling this way, the high will start to diminish slightly and you will probably get hungry. Food tastes absolutely delicious. Treat yourself to something tasty. After another hour or so, your head will get more cloudy and you will probably start feeling sleepy and sedated. You can toke up again to avoid the sleepiness, but it will come on more heavily at a later time.
The most important thing to remember is to relax and not worry. Just enjoy the experience. If you don't get high this weekend, don't worry about it. Just try again sometime, and eventually you will get high.
As for how long it takes to get sober, you will be pretty sober five to six hours after smoking, but you will probably be sleepy. If you smoke in the evening (which is what I recommend), you will sleep wonderfully and when you wake up the effects will mostly be gone. You may feel slightly fuzzy-headed the next day, but it's not unpleasant at all. In fact, I often experience a very pleasant afterglow well into the next evening.

Like a couple peepz in here already said, U probably wont get high your first time. I didn't get high until like my 3rd time. But juz in case you're one of these folks that say they got high they're first time, smoke as much as you can, cuz U can't pass out/die off of weed, ever. So relax and blaze up man, and dont forget about us if while you fly high.
Dont listen to those guys, not getting high the first time, its bullshit if you ask me. Its not like the THC gets into your body, but doesnt affect anything, the only reason you dont get high is if you dont inhale porperly. Its not like the first time you drink, you dont get drunk.Quote:

If You take my advice and take huge rips and hold in your hits, you will get high and i gurantee you will love it.
Also make sure you have some munchies on hand and visine in case the parents are around, the high should last 1-3 hours depending on the weed and how much you smoke. :rasta:

dont worry bout the feeling you'll love it. ask your friend for inhaling tips and have a bottle of water with you cuz u might need it for your first time.
yeah, definetly have a bottle of water. the first time i got high was the most amazing thing ever. the first thing that happened to me was (this might sound weird) my balls started to feel tingly, then i got the giggles. my eyes started throbbing and my heart started beating really hard, but i just ignored it and it went away. colors became very vibrant, especially red and everything was really chill. you'll enjoy it very much. have fun!!!!
i got bombed my first time smoking. we made the 1.5 mile pilgrimage to dominos cause we were so frickin hungry. i couldn't breathe the whole way there cause i was laughing so hard.
the hardest thing to do is order food that has a name that is a play on words. for example, the eggnormous sandwich at BK, or a chillabration cake at DQ, i just can't do it without crackin up.
what it will be like. varies by each person, me paticular it's very relaxing and makes me really talkitive, makes me want to be around people more than normal.
What does getting high feel like? again varries by each person, and it's kinda something you just have to experience by yourself, for me my eyes don't want to open as wide (as i get more sensitive to light i need them open even less to see thing clearly, might be a link between smoking and vision (on a side note, it's already been proven marijuana helps glaucoma type symptoms)
How long will it take to get sober again? as you get more and more into it (takes years for this to happen usually) at first i could be really stoned for hours and hours (4-5 hours maybe) now my highs last between 1-3 hours depending on how much i smoked or how long it's been since i had it
Any other info I should know? goverment produced crap (basicly anyting you seen deragatory towards weed) is bullshit. even ancient chinesse used it for it's medicinal benefits (think about how many people use ancient chinese recipies to get better and they work) there are alot of lies about weed, i suggest you inform yourself. of the "drugs" weed is the least harmful (no more harmful that cigarettes or alcohol is) you'd have to smoke your body weight (you weight 150 pounds you'd have to smoke 150 pounds) of marijuana of even the strongest weed just to od, and no known person has ever died from smoking weed directly (some idiot may have been to stoned to drive right and died as a result of that) there are 1000's if not 10000000's of lies about weed out there and you really need to know what's correct and what's not, but generally if it's widely accepted among the public, it's wrong. i can't even begin to describe how wrong everyting that is mass produced is wrong. dont' take this wrong, because alot of drugs are really dangerous if used wrong (most are safe if used right) that you hear about. but weed is next to 100% safe (of course if someone got in a wreck and killed them self, which i'm sure has happened at some point that makes it 99% safe) all i can say is do your research on any drug you're about to try or considering trying, if it gets you high, or you "think" it gets you high, before you do it, ask....wise old saying "better safe then sorry" when you're messing with drugs you could potetinally be messing with your life as well so it's always better to ask and be an "idiot" than not know and die. i guess that's all i can offer for now because that's alot to memorize, if you need further info on most drugs (i have a database of drugs built in my head based on FACTS, MEDICINALLY, SCIENTIFICALLY proved facts so if you need something ask, and there are others on these boards like me, that know the truths about many drugs, just remember ((not to turn you into an anarchist)) the governement often lies about such thigns for whatever reason, just because you think they have all the technology in the world doesn't mean they're telling the truth, i'm about 99.99999999999999999999999% positive they know the facts about marijauan yet they lie about it on comercials, governement paid for webistes and everything else, if you really wanna know why they do start a new thread asking why they do and you will get more than enough answers on why they do)

I'm not a noob, but I have a question about coughing. Whenever I cough it's usually because my throat's really irritated. The only times I've -EVER- coughed were when I had a cold. sure i guess its normal u can just handle it well. and i agree he isnt too young. im 15 too smoking since i was about 13
some people are more easily irritated by smoke (generally it's people who didn't live around smokers, or spend alot of time around smoke, or didn't smoke) i don't really have a problem with it....once i get high as shit, and my throat/lungs are already kind of irritated if i take a huge hit i'll cough sometimes, but i won't let myself cough it out...it takes alot to make me cough...
Not everyone doesn't get high for their first time, I got high as fuck the first time I smoked, it was awesome.
whatever happens, dont cough your hit out, blow it out softly and then cough or your throats gonna hurt like hell.
dont expect to trip,. Pot does not cause out of body experiences or hallucinations (except open and closed eye fractals and lights, and most of the time these only happpen because you think they're happening.). you cant have a bad trip(there is no trip), although you may be kind of paranoid
you'll notice a kind of pressure around the eyes, but not a bad one like a headache, its actually a decreasing of the pressure and it balances you out. your skin may be kind of tingly if its really good pot. You will hear the notes in music more clearly and every sound around you becomes more vivid. Pretty much anything that feels good or makes you happy will be ten times better. psychadelic colors and flashing lights will be "trippy"(if you dont know what this means, your gonna find out).

^^^sigged, that's some funny shit, i even took of a bunch of other quotes just to be able to put it :D and one of the first times i was getting high, my window was open (my bed being right next to the bed) and we were smoking some goddamn strong ass shit (like some really nice kb) and it was new years eve, and it was cold out side....i got so damn high i kept feeling like i was flaoting out of my body and i'd have to like flop my front side down on the bed to get back in my body (i was sitting basicly indian style so i would just fall forward really hard) and i couldn't stop laughing and neither could my friend, and i kept spilling the bowl, like we'd already smoked 3-4 grams of this shit, still h ad 2x that much left, he'd load up a bowl and go to hit it and about that time i'd start feeling that way again, so i'd plop down and spill it again....i think i ended up wasting a good 2-3 grams through that shit but both of us were so damn high we dind't care. and i've never been that high since then, i've been pretty high...but i always get a real head high now, where i used to get a real body high.
