Edit: Triple C's in high dosages are known to cause unwanted side-effects, one of which is death. If you're going to trip, please do not use Coricidin. Robitussin Cough Gels are a healthy alternative.
Excuse the double post. In response to your question, what you are experiencing is known as the infamous robo-itch. It's very common. It can be incredibly uncomfortable, and is sometimes a pain in the proverbial ass. I've had it dozens of times, and there've been dozens of times where the itch was not present. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. Some people think it has something to do with an allergic reaction to one of the dyes in cough syrup; I'm not entirely sure exactly where this side-effect comes from, but I do know I've never had it while using DXM extracted into its powder form.Quote:
