I've only been smoking for like teh past 8 months and all together i've probably only smoked 12-15 times. My short term memory is starting to suck and i'm lazy as fuck all the time. Also people complain that i'm somewhat "slow". I forget shit alot too. I'm not half as slow as some of you I don't think so i guess i'm not that bad yet. But should i be getting these negative side effects so soon? Or does it have to do with the fact that i been smoking more weed more ofton the past 4 weeks?
yea, i've found that when i do it repeatedly for a couple months, the slowness, bad memmory,lazyness, not-giving-a-shit-ness, and doing bad in school get worse. like for instance, for the past 2 months ive been smoking at least once on the weekend(usually 2 or 3 times) and at least once during the school week. it really is effecting my grades. but then again, i dont give a shit :D

I believe weed filters out the stuff you don't need to know, so you can concentrate on things you need. Like i forget shit things, like what i ate for tea/dinner and trivial things like that, but i remember important things lol

I doubt that man 16 is the perfect age to start. When i smoke I just get retarded and can't function normal. Some people can handle doing shit stoned and some can't. I'm one of them people that just stands and looks at the wall for 10 minutes trying to figure out what the fuck i'm supposed to be doing at work. As for the slowness and memory problems i think it's pretty normal and it usually clears up after a week or so after smoking. Most likely what they meant was the short term memory-loss wears off when the weed is out of your system or almost out of it which can take a week or two.

When I realized that Mary was slowin' me down and effecting my grades, you know what I did? I didn't quit. I cleaned up my act. I have more respect for the bud now... and insted of making me a slow witted oaf, I am more aware of the stupid bullshit... and that's really the only shit I forget. Everything else is fine. If you can't do that... then I suggest you quit smoking for awhile and see how things go. Because regardless of how much you love your weed, you don't want to be perceived as a dumbass, do you? Besides, you haven't been smoking for long so it should a snap to just let it go, if it's REALLY effecting school and stuff. School is more importent then geting high, no matter what.
In begenning of October i was stoned like 2 times at school every week, i was getting fucked up:D But the thing is i would do it at lunch time then come back for the 2 other periods i had. They were PE (OMFG its a bitch while stoned but sooooo fucking trippy) and Algebra 1 :P:P:P In the algebra class everyone fucked around and no one listened to the teacher so it didnt matter. I wasnt smoking b4 important periods.
But then i started getting lazy and shit. I didnt give a fucking shit about school work or pretty much anything. All i really cared about was how i felt and what i WASNT being able to do becuz of my step mom bitch! So yah then some shit happened, where my step mom hit me and i ran away and shit happened. Now i live with my mom, in Berkeley, :D. I havnt had any bud for prolly a month now. I have changed alot since i havnt toked up. I am more motivated, i care about things and how people feel, and not about just getting high. SO what ive decided is im going to just toke on the weekends, prolly toke alot when i get home on friday, then saturday blaze like fuck, and sunday not anything so i can be sober for school:D Ill be getting a quarter(1/4 ounce) tomorrow hopefully:D Ill be posting pics and how im going along. :D

With current research being done on Melatonin, it's a fact that we naturally produce it, most abundantly when we reach puberty. And on top of that, if you smoke a joint, your levels are gonna go up 4,000%. Melatonin production, being more prevalent in youths, could be the reason why younger users are "slowed down" and affected by Weed more. Again, I don't know what an overdose of Melatonin can do.
