how/what made you start?

why did you starts smoking herb, and what was the situation

me i was with a couple of buddies smoking tea cause someone said it gets you fucked up, and i was anti-pot until my freinds were smoking it nd it was either one ofthese 2 things i dont exactly remember it was either 1. i said can i have some or 2.they offered it to me.

than the next night i did it again and got high! :D

my friend was a build-things-out-of-nothing maniac....so in one of his techno class he build a bong out of a computer!! that was pretty impressive and he had that so much tiny lil bud like 0.2 so i said to myself it's too much of a small qty to die on this drug and the pipe is so cool...so i asked for a puff and waited like 2 yrs before understanding what was pot!!

I rolled a hella haggard J with some bible paper and smoked it with a friend. good times

my ex-girlfriend of three years was heavy into it. she still is, but not as heavy. i learned the power of the herb through many artistic forms and thoughts...

that shit even taught me algebra.

some of my friends started messin w/ green and at first wasnt all into it, but i caught some major second hand smoke and soon realized how amazin this shit really is

when i was 12 my bud, already tried it with some older guys, and he said its the most amazing indescribable feeling in the world, so we smoked 2 js that night and i got high for the first timeniggs

I used to drive with my older sister and her man to his house about 30 minz away from where I was on the freeway, and on the way they would light a fat ass joint up and hot box that shit, so I would get high as fuck as a 10/11 yr old...

peer pressure

the first time i got high i was skippin school in the 7th grade and my friend had some.so i was like aight and we smoked out of a coke can.we hung out on a railroad in some woods near the school all day laughing.

beginning of freshman year. this pothead who is now our dealer sat next to my buddy in band. one thing leads to another and we are sneaking out behind my house smoking. i didnt do it the first time cuz i was like whoa, drugs, that shit smells and my parents will know. we camped in our backyard the next weekend and smoke about a gram and we did it like every other weekend. it really hit me stoned like after 3 months of on and off toking. after then i have become in love with it. so to answer ur question or whati thought was ur qusstion peer pressure in a good way,

umm, me and my bros were standing bekind curts house, it was me dave tim and curt, and we were smoking our ciggerets, and curts bro walks out and walks into there lil camper and tim curt and dave all put out there cigs and climb into the camper and just said come on billy get in here so i said ok, and they hand me a pipe and gave me greens, and they were just like suck suck suck suck suck, and was sucking unti my lungs were full and started coughing. and we countuned smoking on a 1/8th and smoked until it was gone, and then just sat around laffing my ass off. and then got out and a huge smoke cloud came out.

The opportunity came up when I was chillin with an elementary school friend of mine in 10th grade (we went to diff middle schools so we hadn't out-and-out chilled in a while), and he threw a party. I didn't smoke that night, but it was my first experience with the counterculture. I actually blazed about 3 months later, with some of the people I had met at that party. It wasn't peer pressure; I sought them out-- and I am SO GLAD I did!!

i wanted to try it, i was anti drug up to about 12 years old, in fact i was scared i was going to die the first time i tried. around 12 1/2 i decided i wanted to try...on my 13th birthday i asked a friend if he could get it for me if i wanted it, so h e took me to this 23 year old strippers house and i didn't want to at first cuz i was scared, so we went back later that night and i smoked that time and got high as fuck and ever since then i swore i'd never lay mary down for any reason (coincedently the stipper's name was mary)

ive noticed that alot of ppls are afrid that the first time they smoke some "dope" they will die, infact, when i first got the pipe handed to me, i recall saying "if i OD on this "dope" scrape my lungs(not the pipe) and smoke the resin"

i think im gonna draw a picture of a guy pulling out his lung(not the pipe) and scraping his lung to get high.

Damn I just realized I've been smoking for almost half my life.

and after reading STZ RUS's post, i relized, technicaly, ive been smoking my whole life(second hand anyways,) my dad use to hot box me in the cars all the time. and i just relized that i have smoked with my dad befor.

I became curious with how it would feel when I was about thirteen, and during the first few months of freshman year, a friend and I sought it out. We didn't have any friends who smoked, so we had to meet new people. Met like five dealers that year.

Needless to say, we loved it, "peer-pressured" more than a couple friends into it, and were constantly scrambling for money. By sophomore year, I wondered if I could go a day without it. It was just too boring to be sober, and it still is. I don't understand how people can get through their lives without some form of drug to look forward to at the end of the day.

my older cousins were always smokin it arnd me. I'd always wanted 2 try it so one wkend wen i was 12 i went away campin wid em,i asked em 4 sum and avnt luked back since! we got so fuckin high that wkend it was deadly!

I was 15 and never before seen someone smoking weed, i don't think i knew anything about it actually. My friends were smoking it and they offered it to me, i declined. I researched about it, found this site, got great info about it then tried it. I'll be tokin til the day i die! :rasta:

My friend tried it because his brother gave him some and he ranted about how awesome it was for about a week. Then another friend tried it and ranted even more. So that whole week I did a shit load of research (which also lead me to this site and my best friend erowid.org) and realized how safe it was and tried it that weekend. Perfect first time 5 friends sitting on the edge of a lake with a wooden indian pipe getting passed all around.

I at one time had used to be a D.A.R.E. poster child, was against any illegal drugs and what not. I got really really drunk one night when I was hanging out w/ some friends. One of them suggested that I try weed, he said it wasn't that bad. Being completely plastered and lacking any inhabitions, I said sure why not! We walked across town (completely plastered) to his house, got a bowl, walked all the way back to my house, then I got pleasently stoned =D. Ever since then I've renounced my former DARE ways...ahhhh, the herb is great :D

me and my best friend used to skateboard and deciede to quit. so i was over at his house nobody was home and sittin there board thinkin of something to do and he said "my dad has some weed down in his room wanna smoke" i was like sure so he ripped a Dime bag and his dads pipe and we smoked i was soooo high i was laughing at everything him and his brother said. anyway me and my friend are still best friend potheads to this day.

Last year me and my homies had just gotten out of the Vine Street Market, which is right next to our high school, and we were eating our lunch when my friend Tyrail said "Hey, I got my buddha wit me. Y'all wan smoke a bowl?" to my pothead friend Matt. I said "Hey, lemme come wit you. I always wanted to try it." so we went. Tyrail took a hit...held it for 10 seconds...coughed...passed it to Matt. Matt hit it...held it for 20 seconds...coughed like an athsmatic...passet it to me. Tyrail was like "Yo, Penguin, you want me to spark it for you?" I declined and said "Naw I got it. I saw you two hit it.". So, I sparked it, hit it, held it in for a minute (no fucking lie), then I blew it out slow and we were in a Handicapped porto jon so we were kind of hotboxin that shit. It wasn't that smoky until my hit came out there. I had no idea I could hold that much air/smoke. Matt and Tyrail were all "Penguin's a fucking natural born stoner! hahaha!" and the rest is history.

I smoked herb so that the girl i was madly in love with (at the time) would like me more. it'd worked, but she was always in a relationship, i still got a little somethin from her for the 4 years we were friends.

one of my friend's friends came and visited from Arkansas up to the dirrty north where i live (WI) and he was a huge ass stoner and i had wanted to try it for a long time. so i asked him to try and let me smoke with him befreo he left. so the last weekend he was here he brought some good ass weed over and we tokde it int eh local farm field. soo fun. i wanted it right away again in the morning. that's how

Around 12 years old me and my then best friend were mad curious, even tho we were very anti-drugs, and we knew his dad and brother were former/current tokers, so we found his dads old metal pipe and some herb (which if i remember right, and i prolly dont cuz i smoke the herbal, was all seeds and stems, haha), packed a bowl, and toked away. nothin happened and we were like wtf. bout a year later me and my new best friend(and current bro) got some, dont remeber how, dont remember why, not sure i really care! took me almost a year to actually get high and i have no fuckin clue why, but who cares, i love the budha and its been good to me ever since. way back in 1st grade when i was six, i used to always to roll fake, paper joints and act like i was smoking them in class. then in second grade i found some weed growing behind my house and i thought it was the most beautiful thing id ever seen. it was soo cool how the flowers werent like normal flowers and how they were covered with what i thought was diamonds. I picked some and showed some people at school and they all wanted to buy it from me... i was so naive then, i had no idea what was going on, all i knew was i had a feild of free candy and soda money...lol i spent another year selling pot, until i figured out what the the situation was but i didnt get to try it then

then my family moved and i met my friend nate. by this point all i wanted to do was smoke pot. my lucky day came when i was eight years old. we found some pot in his dads sock drawer and made a little bawn fire out of it, standing over it breathing the smoke. we went inside and watched cartoons and laughed our asses off.

then it was two more years b4 the second time i smoked. my bro and his friend were smoking a bowl under my porch and i snuck up on them. They were smoking it out of an aluminum foil pipe. It was then that i realized my prior stupidity with the bawn fire. I got so fucking stoned i thought i was hallucinating, but then i realized that i was just watching cartoons again.

another two yrs rolled by b4 my 3rd time. my brother was smoking some kine in his room and i had walked in to bum a cigarette and i was like, "dude, is that pot or drugs?" he said pot and handed me the pipe. i toked and got even more blazed than either of the other times. we just sat there smoking and talking about shit like death and god and the big bang theory. life was so clear to me for that instant and i decided i was going to be a stoner for the rest of my life... since then ive toked up every day except when the town was dry..

story of my life? "drug" dealer at six, "delinquent" at eight, again at 10, and then full blown stoner since 12. :D
