Um... those 5 seeds... you aren't going to throw them at the bottom of the hole and cover it up, are you?
You should first germinate your seeds on moist paper towels... then you should plant those on a small pot... then, when bigger, you transplant those into your hole.
That's the way I would do it... I don't know if anybody else here wants to jump in and add something to this or correct me...
Best
you can plant them straight into the ground, but mice could dig them up, they may rot, lots of problems, if its spring time cold soil is the main problem.
if you do it,soak them 24 hours in a glass of water ,then plant them into moist ground.
The hole size depends on the strain, i have mine 6 feet apart, and they still touch alittle, but some strains dont branch much at all.
well it cant hurt the plants thsat much if the branches touch does it?
i wouldn't put that many plants in a hole that size. if it gets crowded they don't get enough light and their roots will get tangled. basicly they will fight for the smae light and same water and nutrients and they won't grow ass well as if they were apart.
the more they have the better they will be.
ill probely jsut plant 2 or 3....also when planting seeds outside i can sut plant them rite in the soil rite?
you can but like mole was saying uit's not a very good idea. they can get eaten by animals or rot. and they will not have as good a chance of germination if you just plop them into the soil out side. what ever you decide to do make sure you soak them in a glass of water for 24 hours before you do anything. you can germinate your seeds ina wet paper towel. if you do that just watch for a little tap toot to come out them plant it in a grow medium. you could go straight to soil but i like little pete moss pucks. you have to expand them with water then put the seed down there. but this is all you're cll. they are your seeds and you'r potential plants.
well ive been preparing my grow ground for some time now...digging holes and mixing soil so when spring comes the grow site will be prepared...so all i have to do to germinate is place my seeds in a glass of water for 24 hours? what does this do anyways? also is there some sort of simple way of increasing my chances of my plants becoming female? since im growing about 10 plants
if you really want to start them in the ground, they will germ sooner if you soak them in water first, alot of indoor growers soak the seeds first, and when the tip of the root shows, they plant them. some people lay the seeds on wet paper towels too, leaving them someplace warm tell they sprout.
You would have better germ rates if you planted them in small containers and kept them warm intell they sprout, just put them outside after they sprout if you dont have grow lights.
try not to stress them to avoid getting more Males and hermies.
Yeah...watch out for those damn mice...I was going through all my seeds(about 5 years worth) removing the bad ones. I had them in a dish in my greenhouse, it started to get dark so I went back inside my house. The next day I went back out there and those little fuck heads ate all my seeds. All that was left were the shells with little holes in them.Quote:

that sucks man..... but yea i wanna grow outside i never had the intentions of growing inside...but im growing 5 plants in the ground and 5 or more in pots becasue im gorilla growing and my space isnt that big...and should i start my seeds in little tiny pots till they sprout?....then transplant them in the ground also if i do start them in liitle tiny pots they will still be started outside.....so would it make a difference if i just planted them in the ground or start them in little tiny pots and then transplant them since both ways would still be done outside?
can someone pelase answer??
if you plant them in containers,in your home, that will keep the seed warm, they like to be warm to germinate, when they sprout, hide them outside ,intell you can plant them into the ground..
ok so ill jsut drop my seeds in a glass of watter to germinate inside....that ill plant hem in litle pots ouitside then trasnfer them to the ground and bigger pots i can do that rite???
also i still dont understand what dropping my seeds in a glass of water does (germinating) can someone please tell me this to???
can someone pelase answer?
i dont know,,now am confused..
i wanna no what germinating does?
germanation is the proccess in which the seed springs to life. it will crack open and a tap troot will come out. then it ill push the seed matter out of the soil and into the air where it will open up exposing 2 small round leaves then from there it is a seedlingt and will start groing leaves.
