keep getting sick for Pk's
It seems that whenever i do painkillers like hydrocodone or oxycodone i either get a really good buzz or i get really sick and vomit. It's weird because i use to do painkillers all the time and i didn't get sick. Is there some thing that i can do to take away the nausea. maybe take it on an empty stomach or something, or take it with food?

just what he said above...good advice. Maybe some food about 2 hours before you take them. Not too much though.

Lay down. Moving around a lot will make you more prone to nausea.

when my wife had the baby, she was prescribed a very "healthy" ammount of vicodin...i used to dip into it alot...durring that time i realized they made me sick as well.....i just gave up on them..i'd rather do a bar or two (xanax) any day now than take some damn pain killers, T3's never did nothing for me, even if i chewed up 8 of 'em vic's took about 3-4 (chewed up or split in h alf) to do an ything to me...

Yeah, painkillers are great. That is, until you're in a horrible car accident and the paramedic can't seem to get your pain under control because your tolerance to such medications is so high. This is THE reason I do not touch pain pills. Not to mention the fact that drugs like Vioxx killed 140K people last year.

Vioxx (rofecoxib) is a nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory drug. It is the same class of drug as Ibuprofen and has about the same recreational value (none). Rofecoxib selectively inhibits the COX-2 enzyme responsible for the production of prostaglandins which seem to play a role in pain and inflammation.
Opioids such as hydrocodone and oxycodone are much different. These drugs work by binding to opioid receptors in the brain, the consequence is euphoria and feelings of warm fuzzyness.

I'm not sure those are the only consequences when using synthetic forms of these chemicals. Plenty of people have died from normal doses of painkillers. If you want to grow some poppies, slice them open, and smoke the result that's fine with me. It is MUCH different, however, when you run it through a machine to make a profit. Don't kid yourself otherwise. The FDA is currently operating in a borderline criminal capacity.
You've been using painkillers for a while and just started getting sick? Read between the lines.

There is a huge difference between synthetic opiates and vioxx, or whatever. A whole fucking lot of people have died using natural opiates, dangerous, but worth the risk. Getting sick on opiates is to be expected, I puked every time I slammed a K.

I am very interested now, please provide me with a reference reporting an 'epidemic' of opioid deaths resulting from medicinal use.
The primary risk with opioids is respiratory depression, which is dose dependent.
