BEEN GROWING 2 PLANTS OUT BACK ALL SUMMER AND I DONT KNOW IF THEY ARE READY FOR HARVEST YET.COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THEY ARE AND ALSO WHAT TYPE THEY ARE CAUSE I AINT GOT A CLUE, I JUST SMOKE IT?!!!

I no grower so I could be wrong but I can't really see any buds on there so I doubt they're near ready yet.

the shorter days should force them into flowering now, but i don't know exactly where you are, and the climate, light hours, etc for that region...

I AM IN IRELAND, NORTH, THE COLD WEATHER HERE IS CREEPING IN HENCE THE REASON TO HASTEN THE CUT.IT IS STILL MILD BUT I AM WORRIED FROST COULD COME ANYTIME AND KILL THEM..

I am surprised myself, they are very old now about 14 weeks but they dont seem to stop growing, they have been neglected but i am dying for a smoke.What type are they? They were supposed to be either hollands hope or white rhino i think

they're not one of the 'white' strains, a lot of strains can be turned purple by the colder outdoor temp...

Any way you could move them inside, they don't look like they'll be done soon enough to not be killed by the cold. I think to get them to flower inside you need to put them in 12/12 light, with zero light during the 12 hour dark period.

Hit up the growing Section.

When they actually have buds on them, check the colour of the trichs on them, when they turn a cloudy slightly amber colour they're ready I think. Oh and get them inside if possible.

Try the growing section though as all of what I've said is stuff which I think I remember reading someone else post, so may or may not be right.

NO NO NO NO not ready yet

it's going to be a while before they're ripe. if they are quality strains then i'd build a shelter to keep them warm during the frosts. i have one over my haze plants now (recent pics of the frame are in the pic section) and it doesn't take much...in my case i used a 'cabana' frame (tent-type structure for camping/the beach) but any 2 x 4 frame will work, or even take the top off of a table. cover with plastic sheets and voilla...instant greenhouse! (well, sorta kinda instant). it'll cover ya for the lighter freezes as is but if it's dropping below 25-28F, i'd add a space heater too.

but judging by the pics i'd say at least another 2-3 weeks...

What If I took them out of the ground and put them in large pots?If not possible then ill make some diy job and cover them.Just hope weather holds out.

yeah if you try to transport them inside it could do about as much help as a nice cold frost. digging up the roots of plants that large isnt good for them.

give em a trimmin and also a little tip that really helps improve the herb....when its ready to be dried snap the trunk(like main stem) and let the plant lay on the ground for a couple hours, the broken stem is a warning signal to the plants so it shoots all the good stuff to the buds so after a couple hours of laying there hang them up and youll have some nice green

sorry to say, but there is no "good stuff" to shoot up to the buds. it doesn't work like that. it's all about the trichomes and about all you'll get with snapping the trunk and laying the plant on the ground is dirty buds that'll need to be cleaned...

can a plant have female and male parts as i think i spotted a few Male parts on my two madonnas.
