Well, that's the most common form found in over the counter medicines. I'm pretty sure DXM powder is pure dextromethorphan.

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a non-narcotic. Dextroamphetamine Sulfate is a CNS Stimulant.

If you're going to need that chemical name for something, you might also want to research the correct spelling of "chemical".
