Adventures with an Uncarbed Bong

So the bowlpiece on my new hitter got broken the other day while making its rounds. "Not to worry!", I said. I put my degree in Stoned Engineering to work and fashioned a new bowl out of a ratchet head and some tape.

"Wait, how are we supposed to pull it through if the bowl is stuck to it?" asked my friend. "Well, umm..SHIT!", clearly mistakes get made when doing these things high. "Let's just try it anyway."

I packed a bowl and lit it. But here's where it got interesting, since I couldn't pull the bowl and suck it through, i just kept sucking until it was packed with smoke, then kept going until my lungs were filled. Since it couldn't be cleared, the smoke was getting supercondensed all the way up the bong. Hit after hit, everyone was getting massive rips since the thing was already filled with smoke when they started. When the bowl was cashed, the last guy just sucked it all up slowly.

Anyway, this method managed to conserve so much weed and everyone was getting massive rips. Crazy stuff.

lol niceee. yea the new bong i just got doesnt have a carb, but the bowl is detachable, cant u just take a hit, take the bolw out, and use that hole as a carb??

That is the carb..

You have a Shotgun or California carb.

You take a hit and pull the bowl (stem) out and hit.

These are the preferred way and much better than a carb in my opinion.

oh really? sweet. but when u take it out, the bowls like smoking...lol defeats my stealth smokking habit.

Use a penny or something else (a lighter that's in the shape of a cylinder works wonders to put out a bowl, that's what I use, and it hasn't failed me yet.) To put it out. See, like this.

yeah, thats the way mine works as well. carb probably wasn't the best choice of word, but i couldn't think of anything else to call it.

i used to have a similar problem. but its not really a problem.

i dont think i could handle pulling the bowl out and putting back in MULTIPLE times, i'd probably drop or tip it over or one my friends would ......or something along that

if you want to be a true stoner, you're going to have to learn to pull a slide carb out of a bong.....it's really not that hard, I have faith in you

its better to use chokes

jus make a hole in the bong to put ur finger on, take the hit, take ur finger off the choke n pull

glass pipes, blunts and joints all the way.

How is pulling a shotgun carb out hard? it's a way of life..man It's not like you have to put it all the way out..just lift it a little bit so you get the air and not the seal..take in whats in the chamber and set it back in. Don't pull it all the way out and set it on a table and then take your hit and then take it off the table and back in the bong. That's just too much work.

^^ haha, yea i hit that bong last night. omg. its like. amazing, i love it so much, yea u dont ahve to take the slide out all the way, just lift it up a bit and air gets in there, u gota hit a bit harder but its alright.

my homemade bong has an old fashioned finger carb and i looooooooove it so much better than a slide. it's kinda small so if you have lots of lungpower (me) it kinda sucks through the bowl at the same time. not enough to keep the cherry lit, but enough to keep smoke from seeping into my room. badass fucking engineering mistake :D

slides rock. all the nice bongs have them, so if your ever plannin on smokin out of a nice bong, learn the ways of the slide

damn you guys need to learn how to read up. It is a slide bowlpiece bong. But the bowl was broken so i had to makeshift a non-slide bowl for a few days. Bought a new bowl the other day though so it's back to normal.

i know, im talkin to the guy who said slides suck

i don't mind slides...as long as i'm not so fucked up i can't figure out how to do it.

I know this is your thread..but I don't think we were tlaking about your bong :confused:

We were talking about the people who said they would have a carb opposed to a shotgun carb or slide. Good times! is the bowl big?

I found my dads oldschool bong, and it has both a removable slide and a carb... But I think I will just do the carb, seems alot easier. I will have to try both and get back with a decision.

bust up your weed and put just enough for a nice toke and take the whole thing in one go so theres nothing but ash that didnt get sucked down throught the bowl. experiment and learn a good amount for your own tokes when not trying to be a stealthy smoker so that you dont end up taking to fat a hit and coughing it out into your room when your parents are right next door
