why acid is illegal (deep topic)

I just wanted to say something about acid. I just what to let you know before you start reading that this is a very deep topic.

Ok I'm not a big acid head I just wanted people to know what I know. First of all acid is illegal because of the usa. They made it illegal not because its bad for you, or because its a drug, its because they don't know what it is.They don't want people like me and you doing acid because there afraid. There afraid that we will travel to places, that they don't know about. There afraid that we will learn that there is more to life then we frist though. When we do acid we find a new way to think, and it has to do with piece together all the things that we can not answer. Making our mind complete. And it scares the government so deeply because there afraid that we will go though doors, and learn something that they don't know, and that makes a little out of there control, its the same thing with mushrooms. It puts us in the mist of a parrelle world, one thats in between our world and other worlds. Thats all I have to stay

If acid was legal, people would be walking into traffic and off cliffs all day long. I think it's really good that acid is illegal myself, as well as the fact that it's usually a rarity for the most part. I know if I were a parent, I wouldn't want my 13 year old droppin 5 tabs just because it was easy and legal to get.

i'm not saying to make it legal, because most people don't know how to understand whats happing to them, but for those who do, can make it in to that other world

acid in the 50's and 60's was used as a truth sirum, people would have bad trips and tell the negotiater everything, but the scientists realized people became more independent and would think for themselves, thats what scares the government the most. My buddy got caught with a bible of acid{100,000 hits} and each hit was considered manslaughter, he is suppost to be in jail rite now, but he had a good lawyer. I have tried acid before and it opens ur mind to government conspiracies, and just how the world works. i think its illegal because the government knows the ppl would revolt if they all took acid, there would be nothing for them to do except watch the world get even more corrupt.

yes its the same with weed. As the great Profits Bob marley said, weed is plant, how can you make something that grows naturaly out of the earth illegal, you know why. It make the rastaman rebel. It make my brothers smarter, and able to think on there own.

All drug laws are about control. All substances should be legal. Free thinkers are constantly put down, locked up. How dare you decide what is best for you. I don't want to hear about "promoting the general welfare" either. Something as simple as traffic laws that ARE about keeping people from harming each other with weapons that weigh 2 tons and travel at speeds of 70mph + are a joke. I say that because in an increasing amount of states you can pre-pay traffic fines for speeding. If they really cared about "promoting the general welfare" they would sit your happy ass in jail for a week for speeding. That would slow you down and make it difficult for you to explain why you are not at work. That's not happening though because that would hurt the precious economy. People hanging out getting ripped on whatever should be left alone. It's about personal responsibility people. Stay home and do what you like. Get out in public where you could endanger someone other than yourself and then there are problems. "The Man" has taken over more and more of our lives because we don't want to accept responsibility for our actions. "Well if heroin were legal we would have people in the gutters with snot hanging out thier noses." Yeah, and that would be an excellent opportunity for me to say, "Look son, see that guy in the gutter with snot hanging out his nose? Wanna be like him?" "No daddy I don't." "Well don't be shooting heroin son, that's were it will take you." I'm with Eddide Chiles who said, "I want the government to mail my mail, defend my shores, and leave me the hell alone!" And don't get me started about the defend my shores bit. I have no clue why they even call it a border. Oh yeah, to stay on topic I think that acid is an excellent drug taken in moderation. I see it as a mind flush, a vacation of sorts. I step down from the soap box now, resume your regular programing, that is all.

Yeah I'm glad acid is illegal. It's a very dangerous drug. And if it were legal it would end up in the wrong hands more easily than if it's illegal. That's all we need is a bunch of irresponsible teens on acid that have no clue about the power of the drug. Or others that are just ignorant and use the drug not knowing how to control your actions or what you are up for. I think it's best that it is kept illegal. Besides if you REALLY want it you can get it.

ok. so pot should be legal. x should be legal for theraputic (sp?) uses only. if you've ever watched a marriage or relationship fall apart b/c one of them is dying for what ever reason you would understand y x should be legalized for therapy. some people don't know how to use it and isn't safe for general legalization. i've never done acid, so i couldn't really comment on it with any real authority. coke is such a good drug for a number of reasons, but simply b/c it can used to make crack it couldn't go legal. which is unfortunate. damn crack heads! hahaha

How is coke a good drug? It speeds your heart up. You could stroke out on that shit if you don't know how to use it right. You know there are morons out there who would just use that stuff and die off of that crap if it were legal. Coke heads, crack heads all those fucked up drugs should be illegal. I'm for the legalization of MJ only. Because of it's medicinal properties. No one has ever died off of MJ. How many coke addicts or crack heads have died over coke? Nothing good comes from staying awake for five days straight and not eating. Not only are you causing your blood pressure to rise by taking the stuff but not getting enough sleep causes it to rise as well. Not getting sleep causes your immune system to not work properly. As well as other problems. NO coke should not be legal.

Only drugs that should be legal are Weed and Shrooms.

You were on acid when you wrote that, don't say that you're not an acid head, or whatever you want to call yourself.

Me, I don't care where acid can take me, I'll stick to my weed and I'll do shrooms when I get the chance. I don't need more then that.

i think all drugs should be legal why can the government control use and what we do to ourselfs if u get high and kill someone go on a murder trail if u get high and chill, chill. drugs laws r fucked up. coke isnt horrible but it can kill i used to have a friend that would transport state to state u kno and he went a little to happy on his shipment and his heart exploded

That's a pretty bold thing to say. How old are you?

In my opinion, soft drugs should be legal, and the penilty for posession of hard drugs should be a manditory month plus stay in a treatment facility. If all drugs were legal, there would be many more problems in the states. How can the goverment control hard drugs? Are you gonna walk into a drug coffeeshop (like they in amsterdamn), sit down, have a muffin and then shoot some heroin? Or, will you choose the bagel, a pepsi and a few hits of dust? oh, don't mind the three 18 year olds on the ground wiggling around with foam comming out of their mouths, they just OD'd on coke, sweep them into the street.

Coke has always been fasionable and in the mainstream, no one can help or change that. But when your talking about legalizing harder shit like dust, heroin, meth, these drugs have a certain "fear" factor if you will, that puts off the majority of youth from doing it. If you make it possible for 18 year olds, 21 year olds, etc etc to get into these drugs with the idea it's legal and accepted, youth is gonna die man. any of that make sense? :confused:

Ah yes, the old "if it was legal everyone would run out and do it" theory. Would you? Would you suddenly drop acid and walk off a cliff if it was legalized? The fact is that the people that would do it, do it now. The laws don't stop them. It's like you think everyone would drop what their doing and run out to buy some drugs if they made them legal. Good point libertarian toker. I don't really know if anyone who wouldn't already do acid would try it if it were legalized. But I do know acid is dangerous. I'm with the other person who stated they were only for the legalization of softer drugs. I don't know about you but I would much rather be hanging with a pothead than someone who is always on an acid trip. Not that my friends don't do acid. They do on occasion. But if it were legal they would do it more often because it would be more readily available. Just as if weed were legalized. I don't toke if I have something to do such as pay a speeding ticket or go to a family dinner or work. But if it were legal yeah i would toke up in places that I normally don't because of fear of getting caught. I just don't think the legalization of hard drugs is a great idea.

omg no! Thats why its illegal damnit! because people decide to do stupid things, like drive on it! Personally i dont think any drugs should be illegal, people still do em, makin them illegal makes in more accessible to children, and funds gang aactivity, and wastes prison space that could be used to keep violent criminals in prison.

In my personal opinion I believe alll drugs should be illegal to a standard, that way no big companies (or the gorvernment) can profit on them. I would like drugs to be completely legal but unfortunately there are too many iresponsible fools out there. There should be a warning system for the use of recreational drugs (Weed, shrooms, X, acid) where the "guilty party" is left with simple warning (no criminal record)

For those who say "acid is a bad drug", you should read up about it b4 posting, acid cannot kill you unless in extremely high dosage if thats the impression youre under. Since having acid (and no b4 anyone gets the idea in their head, i am not an acid head, i might have a tab on the occasion however) I have become a lot more open minded and more clear thinking, that has been the only permanent effect acid has given me. Im not saying everyone go out and try acid bcos thats entirely up to you, what Im saying is that you should always be open minded.

I second that, I don't like alcohol either I don't drink but a prohibition will just be another tool for the status quo to misuse against the youth. there is defo smoething deeper her...... like how weed is illegal n for the most part it is accepted as so, because it hasn't been legal for a while.. if ya know what i mean, whereas booze is legal and there would be a huge revolt against the banning again.. but mainly cigarettes? they are purely useless.. a short while ago some food manufacturers had a food additive in popular foods that was a suspected carcinogen and they took all the foods off the market (includin my fave munchie food!). why not fuckin make cigs illegal.. Coz people are too dependant on them now and there is such money in it! Im addicted to nicotine myself..

It does affect you, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that after doing it a few hundred times, I knew exactly how it affected me, and that I could safely operate a motor vehicle while on it. It doesn't impair your motor functions. It does do things to your vision, but unless I was on more than 3 hits I could still drive.

As a matter of fact, I used to comment that a stoned or frying (acid) driver was much safer than a sober driver because they tend to obey all of the laws just to be careful, rather than the typical driver that speeds, runs red lights, makes left turns in front of oncoming traffic, etc...

i dont think acid should be illegal, but i totally agree with you about the teenager thing. there are a lot of stupid kids who would take it just to get fucked up and not understand it at all and that would fuck everything up.

everyones making it clear that they arent an acid head, but i can proudly say i am (except i havent been able to get it for a while) but i am getting 3 sheets tomorrow hopefully
