i was just watching a program called 5th Gear, a car program, and there was a segment about being high and driving. they got a regualar stonner, and give him a few simple task to do, before being stonned and while high. he did better stonned! if weed was ever legalised, what do you guys think should be the limit you can toke while driving. i personally havent ever driven while stonned, id be to paranoid, do any of you guys?
Haven't got my license yet, but we almost always hotbox my friend's car, it's pretty sweet, cause the seats are comfortable, we can go anywhere we need (usually for food), without even getting up, and can listen to music. He's a great driver stoned, although sometimes he forgets to turn his lights on..one time we were driving, and he kept squinting, and was like "wtf, it's not this tough to drive stoned"..after a couple minutes we realized his lights weren't on. It was pretty hilarious.
Other times we haven't realized how fast we were going, and get up to 40 in a 20mph. Other than that..normally driving stoned makes you drive much more carefully, since you don't want to get caught, and since your vision isn't impaired, it's not too hard. If I had a car and license, I could easily do it..up until i was as high as is possible to get, then I wouldn't be too good at drivin, since I can't even lift my arms then.
:rolleyes: I always drive stoned and its never been a issue for me. I am more relaxed and just sit back and chill and enjoy the drive. Its time to worry if I'm straight and driving :eek:
I do, its so much easier. I can focus, drive, find my way, and follow the rules of the road sooo much better.
i love driving high, cept it allways seems im going way faster then im really going
lol today my friend drove me home while high as fuck! lol it was realli funny, he cant drive for shit in my opinion but he did well enough to get me home safely. Hail the africain king.
yea I dunno but today i wasn't high and i was coming home from school, something i do every day, I ended up getting lost then i went into a bank parkinglot and got even more lost. I finally found the interstate and was able to find my way home
When high, I am extra-cautious :)
Driving the exact speed-limit, seat belt on, complete stops and stop signs, etc etc
I think it makes me drive better :)
Plus the music is 10 times cooler
driving high isnt hard at all i find i even go the speed limit when i am high and driving so i dont get pulled and arrested. I dont think if they legalized pot that any amount would be ok to drive on but you cant prove your high and i would most defenatly trade never driving high for it being legal.
thats the problem, if is was made legal, unlike with alcohol where they just do a breathiliers test to see if yer over the limit, ganja stays in th eblood stream for over a month, so the test is always gona show postive in a stonner
i find i def. do NOT speed DWH (driving while high). even if i'm not carrying and i'm high behind the wheel, i don't go more than 4 miles over the limit.
i do find that i may be a bit more scatter-brained when it comes to remembering where i'm going.
i do drive super-cool and my road-rage gauge drops to 2, as opposed to where it usually hovers (right at eleven).

i usually take the 5 miles i think i have over the speed limit when i am high
when ever i cant remember where i am going which does happon a lot when your high and driving some place i usually remember after i ask myself out loud about 5 times

I drive high all the time. IMO Its easier.
My boyfriend ALWAYS drives hogh.I'm too scared. I don't presently have a car yet but I said when I get 1 and I'm high 1 night I'll drive around my neighborhood to teach myself;)
Drove an 18 wheeler in a snowstorm while high once.
It's better at night on a quiet highway with some Hendrix CD's though...

But, the problem is mixing alcohol with weed. Even one beer will throw it off kilt. Smoking weed is way the hell cool for drivers, and should be demanded in order to pass a driver's test. If you can't handle a car stoned, then you shouldn't be driving.
i dunno if someone can drive better when hes high but he can probably drive equivalent to when he is sober. thats me basically. some people just prefer driving high because everything is moving in slow motion and its just easier to react to the slower environment.
most of the time i drive is when im stoned. it makes the ride more chill and exciting, especially with some music on. i drive slower and more carefully when im stoned...it's the sober times that i drive crazy.
I wouldnt suggest trying to drive sober. Thats how accidents happen. Toke up for safety! Seriously. :)
i read a study that was conducted recently (last month) and the evidence supported the claim that stoned drivers are involved in less traffic accidents than the sober scum! Ill try to find the report..

The analysis also confirmed that marijuana taken alone does not increase a driver's risk of causing an accident.
* The most recent study into drugs and driving was published in the July 2004 Journal of Accident Analysis and Prevention. Researchers at the Dutch Institute for Road Safety Research analyzed blood tests from those in traffic accidents, and found that even people with blood alcohol between 0.5% and 0.8% (below the legal limit) had a five-fold increase in the risk of serious accident. Drivers above the legal alcohol limit were 15 times more likely to have a collision. Drugs like Valium and Rohypnol produced results similar to alcohol, while cocaine and opiates showed only a small but "not statistically significant" increase in accident risk. I dont drive yet but all my mates drive high. I think i will do as they just drive so damn slow and are so cautious! I never get into a car if they've been drinking! NeveeR!

I like driving high. I slow down and follow the rules. My old man is the stoned king of the road. We travel a lot in the car and we are stoned the whole way, tunes up, moon roof open, a full dugout and a cleaned stash for a quick refill and we're off.
i love smokin on road, me and a couple of mates drove from London to the Scottish highlands and then straight back recently(it took 25 hours) and blazed the whole way there and back just loved layin back and watching the world go by

lol, same here. I deliver pizzas and I drive stoned while working ALL the freakin time. In fact... everyone tells me i drive better baked then sober... The first time i did it i was really paranoid and kind of spooked.... but it's like second nature to me now. Regardless... I love just feeling the wind in my face listening to my music blaring... but driving while stoned is definitely a big plus for me.Quote:

My dad's lived his whole life driving stoned, he's only had 1 accident and it wasn't even his fault.
My first time hopping behind the wheel stoned was cool. At first I got kind of a sick feeling because I wasn't sure if I was up to it but I knew I had to do it anyway. It was a couple of friends and myself. We started off down the road and my friend sitting shotgun threw in Paranoid. This made everything appear in a new perspective. It reminded me of that old Super Nintendo racing game that starts off playing Paranoid, I can't think of the name of it. I would accelerate and all of us would fall into the seats and relax. Then I'd brake, and we would gracefully flow forward. As irresponsible as it may seem, thinking of it like a video game really helped me relax and concentrate more.
Hmm, typed more than I intended. Oh well, everyone should drive stoned atleast once. Keep in mind, "Don't think of the police and they won't think of you." I forgot who told me that, but it has not failed me yet.

I drive high all the time without a problem, but I do definately drive slower.
well... i await the time im old enough to drive :) i cant even imagine driving sober atm :p
Disagree man... When you first start smoking weed i would not advise it... you're just getting used to the effects of weed in the first place. Aside from that.. I agree with you... it is a lot of fun, but it isn't for everyone. Weed can effect people a bit differently and I do have a few friends who refuse to drive while stoned... for their safety and for others. Make sure you're safe and an individual that can handle the responsibility of operating a motor vehicle, then I say go for it :D .Quote:
