Christians Murdered Indians

The genocide against American Natives was one of the most massive, and longest lasting genocidal campaigns in human history. It started, like all genocides, with the oppressor treating the victims as sub-humans. It continued until almost all Natives were wiped of the face of the earth, along with much of their language, culture and religion.

Even in the initial stages of contact between European Christians and
Native Indian people the stage was set for ethnocentrism, and the
attitude towards the Indians was that of Christian superiority. The
Indians were read a proclamation in Spanish which they had no hope of
understanding, they had no hope of understanding the death sentence they
were being read, and it went something like this:
"We ask and require you to acknowledge the church as the ruler and
superior of the whole world and the high priest called pope and in his
name the king of Spain as lords of this land. If you submit we shall
receive you in all love and charity and shall leave you, your wives and
children and your lands free without servitude, but if you do not submit
we shall powerfully enter into your country and shall make war against
you, we shall take you and your wives and your children and shall make
slaves of them and we shall take away your goods and shall do you all

Examples? "The war on drugs" is the best and most viewable. It is more than anything a war on "Entheogens", drugs with a historical religious meaning for the cultures that try to survive the Abrahamic religions.

Example of such a culture now: "The Cannabis Culture", my friends. We are surviving for so long now that we have almost forgotten about the spiritual values of cannabis, one of the main reasons why it is so oppressed during the centuries. Most of us do not see the link between "being stoned" spiritual experience that it really is... what's in a name, right? Mr. Ferre is right, and the "Entheogens" drug aspect of this is important, but I know people that never took a toke in their life that understand the often-destructive nature of the Abrahmic faiths/cultures very well. On the other hand, the pot culture tends to be too focused on the "party" side of it, and not enough awareness is evident of it's "spiritual" values. In my case, the "spiritual" aspects made me more of an atheist/materialist, lol.

An important word here is "greatest part", because there is a lot of ignorance and destruction present in some non-Abrahmic, non-monotheistic cultures, also. The monotheists do have the worst records, historically - and some, such as the lunatic fringe Moslems (and some others), would like very much to take over and/or destroy the whole world. I don't mean to let the christian fundies off the hook, but nobody in their right mind would attribute as much potential for destruction to them (the christian fundamentalists) as the islamic nuts of today. The problem in coming years will be to avoid worldwide destruction due to so many peopleâ??s inability to think rationally, logically, and intuitively.

I am certainly grateful for the formation of the organization that Mr. Ferre is involved in, and plan to read more about it.

while it is true that the abrahamic religions and cultures have made lots of destruction in the name of their faith, it's also true that about about 3.5 billion people, 55% of the world population practice abrahamic religions. so the of all the violence and destruction caused, it's obvious that some of the problems and destruction in the world would route to the abrahamic religions. also consider that if half of the population practices these faiths, it would be pretty easy to gain support by putting the wars in the name of their faith, and to gain followers as defenders of their faith. i'm not justifying violence or the corruption, but it's not like these religions advocate violence, it's just that there are fucked up people, and fucked up people end up corrupting something that should provide spiritual stability and connection to peace and love.

lewis and clark although they were trying to find the best route to the west, dident realize that the true reason for the voyage was to kill the indians with disease, they brought many gifts of contaminated blankets that the natives had no immunity against, lewis and clark ended up dying of these diseases, 1 by the actual disease itself and the other by suicide (suffering from the disease). much like the propoganda of today stories of indian massacreing settlers, leads to these wide sweeping killings and laws. today is no different, in the name of terrorism, we have lost most of the rights that people have fought and died for (aka:patriot act) we are in foreign countries under the premise that they "could promote terrorism" this is getting to be like the movie "pre crime" anybody that makes himself a target is in danger.

they had to have allied troops in germany after ww2 to prevent the guerilla-nazi uprise. it's sort of similar, but i mean, it's nothing unique for just bush.

Have you ever looked at the Bible? It is a very hateful and violent book by any standard. What else can we expect from a religion that defines "free will" as choosing between unquestioning slavery to the wrathful dictator of the universe and suffering eternal torture?

Noam Chomsky is right in calling it "probably one of the most genocidal books in the literary canon". In 1 Samuel 15:2-3, God orders his chosen people to literally commit genocide against the Amalekites, because of something their ancestors did hundreds of years prior.

I'm sure you're familiar with the story in which God plans to murder every living creature on Earth because a few humans irritated him, and was persuaded to let Noah's family and two of every animal stay alive. This is a very violent creature, who expects his followers to be no more peaceful than he is.

Christians murder everybody...:/ This whole continent should belong to the Native Americans! Canada, US and Mexico AND South America. White people should be the minority here. It's ridiculous that they're only allowed "reservations". They deserve the whole continent.
