Picked up some Nice looking buds directly off the plant

I was cruisin down the street when I see this dude "bob" (well just call him that for safety) that I havn't seen since in 3 years and he tells me hes got bud and I was looking allllll day so I was happy. We mob up to his pad and he takes me out back where hes got 3 big old mama's just chillin near the side of his house lol I gave him a 10 and he let me pick 3 buds off his plants :cool: the three of them are all 8 months old and their stink was a really pretty sweet mixed with organic smell (wish I had my cam there) so I picked one from each plant and heres some pics :D on a 1-10 scale what yall think the smoke will be like?

I cant tell because of the leafes

they shall be trimmed :p and yes there are a lot of leaves but you get to the center and they have firm nuggets if you feel em, maybe...size of like one of those 25cent gumballs

Those buds look pre-mature for one thing. They aren't even a fully developed bud and are nothing more than white hairs and no bud. Don't expect anything too major to happen as there are virtually no trichs even on them yet. Those look like they are about only 4 weeks in. Sorry to say, but it looks the pits.

When those dry out, it will be maybe 2 bowls, as they will lose about 80-85% of their weight. Nothing I'd spend money on, but as long as you're happy, that's all that matters, but you did ask after all.:cool: Peace

Oh i sorry if i said they were ready to be picked, didnt mean to make u think that lol one person i know has weed and hes only got chronic, i dont like hookin up dimes cuz it makes me look like a shitty customer, and i had to be home in 10 minutes so basically it was this or nothin :p he let me have a hit of a bud he picked earlier this morning and it was nothing to write home about but not bad (good flavor if nothing else) In no way am i saying "OH I GOT THE BEST BUD EVER I R 1337!!!" lol I just thought was pretty nice lookin, they are really skunky so im hoping that i can at least be satisfied lol they only 8 mth OG so you cant really expect them to be falling over :P

PS. I didnt even think id get 2 bowls out of it cuz together (not dried yet obv.) they weighed out at 4.6g, if i get 2 its better than one and if i get one its better than none :p

I call those spider buds tops of plants. I get those in about 3weeks time.
High usually isnt a good one and doesnt last but maybe 30 mins.

if you divided the plant into 4 sections vertically ground being 1 and crown being 4; i picked them all from 3/4 of the way up the plant, the tops were more bud and less leaf but would have been kinda rude to give my friend 10 bucks and take 20+ dollars in weed =\

I claim to know NOTHING of the actual age/origin/strain/technique of this plant or how it was grown, I have never invested 8 months of my time into a plant (yet) so I wouldnt know what one looked like up close, all I know is that I've known this kid since grade school and his dad has always put out good crops, hes never lied to me before, and we have always had each-others back -- so I have no reason to believe hes lying to me. The reason I hold his claim true that the plants are 8 months old is that the stems were pretty thick compared to what I have seen in the past, approx. 2 inches in diameter. also the plants themselves were a few inches short of my shoulder.

and a 30 min high would be well appreicated right now...not as much as an all nighter but still appreciated ;) Some of us are less fortunate than others when it comes to money, connections, and time.

hey those buds but look half bad at all. the buds are a bit young but there nice young buds. i think you got an ok deal. what you got to do is go back to thats kids house in a month and get some big buds. those buds will mature a bit once dried so they should be pretty good.

ten dollars? i'd of done it too, kali, for sentimental reasons. let 'em dry, then smoke those bitches! your a weed connoissuer, too.

question for pplz who grow and have good knowledge of growing - How long does it take for an outdoor plant to fully mature from sprout to harvest? (in my climate -- avg annual rain 12.5" hot and dry for most of the year with virtually no winter) not asking for a precise calculation just an estimate. I wanna know how long its gonna be before we can expect full results.

Nice looking buds, see you have some Padre stuff in your room. Are you in San Diego too? I have been in San Diego for 6 yrs, but I am relocating next month back home closer to my family...I will blaze "legally" for the first time in 8 yrs out here for about a week next month then I drive back east.

Nah im not in SD nor am I a fan of the Padres oddly enough lol My stepdad is a big padres fan cuz he was SD born and raised (he even put a padres full sized flag up on our flag pole) so I get some stuff once and awhile when i go with him to games lol. I wish i was in SD though...sure I could nose out something more than what i got here lol. Hour and a half north of SD now get on the 15 and come save me from my hell!!! brb gotta go kill something

All together I got 2 bowls out of the 3 buds I picked and I gotta say the high was more than I expected. After reading what you all said I thought I'd get a high like you get off resin (30 min of medium stonage) Ended up not being all that bad, I really liked the smoke and the flavor after they had been dried for 4 hours and 40 minutes under a heat lamp, I turned them often and moved the light around a bit too.

The high could be described as a very natural feeling, I could definitely feel the head change but at the same time I didn't feel all woozy and off balance nor did I get the munchies like I normally do.

All in All - It was not something to compare to smoking full matured and cured buds but I think I got my money's worth and I definitely enjoyed the new experience :D It got me thinking about growing again lol
