I've read about it, 2 big nurseries I've been to don't carry it and one old lady lady looked at me like I was nuts!
Where do I get ph up and down for my water?
Is this the same stuff they sell in a fish store?

Go to a hydro store... they sell a PH kit.. usually includes...
tester and PH UP, PH DOWN
cost about $16..
BTW- not a dumb question : )
If that wasn't a dumb question, then this one probably IS! What in the world is a Hydro Store? Is that like a Swimming pool supply store? I hate asking dumb questions, but I'm over 2 months into my second grow. Last time and this time the cheap meter show my water much closer to Alkaline. I believe it's better to have it closer to the Acid side... I've been reading here about numbers like 6.8 etc. from a kit. Thanks in advance! ;)
Yes you can go to the local petsmart and other various aquatic life stores and use the same pH down.
Or, use white vinagar for an organic version of pH down...just make it in small batches as the vinagar will allow the water to rise again in time.
I've seen so many of your threads HARDDON. Are you able to type in your sleep? Thanks so much for responding... I just looked on a testing kit for my fish and see one of the numbers is 6.8! I'm out today and will pick up some ph down... This is great! I strive to make these the best they can be, like the Marines! ha ha...
I notice you are a Superthrive user. I have used it since last Nov. 1st. and believe it saved my first grow as it wasn't vented well enough for heat and the stems had red veins like varicose veins on old ladies legs. :p Maybe I should start drinking Superthive before the dreaded lines begin on me ;)
The guy that makes superthrive make one for people too, but for some reason he can't sell something to do with the FDA . . . lol. If you like superthrive try dark energy or supercharger(my favorite)
I haven't ever heard of those two, will keep my eyes on the look out.
Thanks!
Yep, aquarium/pet stores are great places for water chemie's. it doesn't have to be special " growing ph balance " anything that will alter the pH will do.
Thanks all! Pet Smart had it for a good price. This will be interesting to see how much better my plants respond!
homedepot gots some stuff too...
VINEGAR for the OGGGGGG's
Fuckin "A" I love vinegar.
But I am too lazy to buy it so I use pH DOWN :D
