this is directed at anyone thats perhaps questioning their frequent use. so if ur one of those people that believe wholy and soley that weed is good, please dont attack me...

anyhoo, recently i've been smoking everyday to counter my severe depression and suicidal actions. and even though i felt this way before i started smoking, i cant help but think that it's playing a part...i realsie how stupid that sounds, because its obvious. but i just cant stop, and i dont really wanna stop, because i think it helps me to. nyargus!...

i've read through alot of articles saying that it can help certain ppl, but fuck others.

any comments or suggestions? im open to anything...

Depends on the person really. Weed makes everyone lay back and really think about shit. I personally have a good outlook on ever situation when im high. I could never fathom killing myself, but thats because im catholic and i know what happens to your soul when you committ suicide.

I love weed, but it puts me down. Try using alcohol every nite; it does the opposite(for me).

weed was used in anciet china (something like 2000 b.c.) for depression among other things. but, since it's not government approved nobody readily accepts it as an anti depressent, ironicly it's classified as a 'depressant' drug since it's a downer (downer meaning makes yout ired, sleepy, slow..where as something like meth is an upper making you speedy, awake and alert). anyhow i use it as an anti-depressant as well, and i do not believe it *hides me from my problems* since i don't use it to actually escape my problems or hide from them, rather it helps me better cope with my problems and see the lighter side of them instead of the bad (take the high speed chase i was in, i'll give basic details but won't go into major detail since it'd take forever to type... 120 mph in a nissan 240sx, stolen car, not by me, cop flashed ti's lights at the car ahead of us, of course the driver freaked knowing it was stolen and took off, he chased us, he tried to make a 90 degree turn onto a feeder road at this speed lost control flipped two and a half times no one had seat belts [i actually landed on the back windsheild] ...at this time a robbery was going on and the driver partly matched the discreption of one of the robbers, cops said we ran for no reason and tried to pin it on us, cops started harrasing me and as in the movies basicly threatining me with lockup if i don't tell them what they want to hear [that my friend the driver was part of it]...got me real stressed because it had happened a year prior to the harrasment and my wife was about to have a baby [btw i had no proof of anythign so if i was to take the cops to court for harrasment it wouldn't hold up, plus i knew the car was stolen so they had me on a technicality] so i used weed to calm me down [scared i was going to prison for something i really didn't do] helped me think more logicaly and on the brighter side that even if i do go to prison i'm still alive, and i'd get out eventually and they had no real evidence that we were the ones so it probably wouldn't hold up in court. on a side note i did tell them what they wanted to hear but it did them no good as they had no proof, nor could they find him after he had gotten out of jail 6 months prior)

Sunshine is a natural anti-depresant. Try going for a walk when your high. Instead of laying on the couch.

i agree with chris40, try taking a nature hike by yourself with like 2-3 joints and just take everything in. use the isolation and serene surroundings to help you figure out your problems. like said, weed helps you think deeper and analyze shit completely, use that to your advantage. but remember, smoke by yourself when you really want to fix your depression so no one distracts you. peace mann and good luck.

im in the same position, i feel the fact i cant stop blazing makes me more depressed though, makes me feel more worthless. Bunkyhope lets be friends on the forums. and not commit suicide.

who needs suicide when yo got a fat blunt?....
try to not smoke for a little bit and youll feel even more worthless...end up doing stupid shit like shopping on ebay and wrestling instead (those were my 2 fav. when sober ha)...you realize once you stop that u arent smoking to escape your problems but your smoking to enjoy yourself relax and sometimes hangh out with a few people....its a very social thing..even when u smoke alone

i just got done listening to samuel L. Jackson ssaying that on the pulp fiction sound track,it's inspireing,i love to say it with all the passion and fury he uses,great movie too,as for you being catholic...well lets just say i'm agnostic :rolleyes: don't want to get into a row about any of that though,so good luck on your path :)

Don't call him/her a bitch because they're dealing with problems, you should help them out and talk to them, to see their point of view. And also to see if you can help in some way or another.
