How Old were you when you started

im pretty young and i was just wondering how old you guys were when you started :confused:

unfortunately, i started when i was 12 and would not recommend starting that young....i know it is tempting but try to wait until you are 18......im probably old enough to be your mother so you better listen =)

i started at 13, i read sumthin about it stunting you mental and physical growth once you start chronically smoking at a young age. if thats true im fucked, can anyone verify this?

im 18 now i started at the ripe old age of 15/16 i think (been smoking a lot) and i dont think im stunted but i havent got past 6' im 5' 3/4" and im pissed but i dont think iv been stunted. maybe but i dont know. iv heard that to much physical work when your young will stunt your growth.

naw i started at the age of 12 and now im 19 and it hasnt stunted my physical growth or mental growth its more gov. bullshit i'm at texas tech and make good grades, always have, and i smoke a few times a day so dont worry in fact i've read articals that it lengthens your life so that's quallity and quantity what more can you ask for?

I smoked for the first time at 14, started smoking regularly probably around 16. I'm 18 now.

If you are going to smoke do so responsibly. If you feel it's out of hand then it probably is. The only real truth about Marijuana is that it is smoke and like any smoke it can damage your lungs, as far as long time use and brain damage go, I think it's a crock of crap. I will agree with the short term memory loss though. But then again as everyone knows even with out weed your short term memory starts to go after puberty. IF YOU ARE GOING TO SMOKE POT, KNOW ALL THE FACTS! BE INFORMED AND TRUST IN YOUR OWN BODY. As a mother I would feel safer knowing my child was smoking pot than if he was drinking. Not that I would make that choice for him. I personally feel like you guys should wait until your a little older, but I am no hypocrite and know that you only live once.

I was 17 when I tried it, and I became a regualr at around 21. I've never looked back :D

amydan, i really appreciate you aknowledging some of the bad shit about smoking bud, and even though i am young, i have smoked to the point where i realize that marijuana can have a mental addiction if abused, you just have to make sure that smoking doesnt get in the way of your responsibilitys in life. If u NEED to smoke you better check yourself, instead be able to turn down a toke if you dont feel like it or you have stuff to do. I will never stop smoking weed, bud i know that i cant toke before i have to work or clean because when i get stoned i loose motivation. So, from experiance i have figured out that there is a time and place for everything, smokin herb is the best thing in the world but dont let it take over your life. Instead use it as a reward for after you do the things you need to finish in your day. Thats just what i think, but im pretty lit up right now and could be talkin out my ass. lol

tried it twice once at 14 then 15 but did not smoke until i was about 19 or 20

truthfully? my brothers freind would sell me weed for 15$ a gram when i was 9 years old till i was 11. then he graduated. went off to UC davis. so then i was dry(didnt really care) then around my birthday i found this great girl (just a freind) whose mom was a regular user. then on halloween day (i was now 12) me and her where chillen on her porch when her mom (only met her mom like twice) calls me in. ask me my name and says "happy halloween" and hands me like a gram. i was STUNNED! so later on that night. me and her daughter and another girl and 2 other guys were trick or treating. as we cross throught the park. i pull out my old metal pipe. pack a small bowl and me and the girl pass it around. it was great. later on that night i go in to her house and we start trading candy. then her mom comes and we exchange a few stories/laughs. i had a GREAT time. we sparked a HUGE spliff. i learned how to use it Very wisely since then (now am 14). since then me and her have been tokin like every week. she has this new boyfreind. hes kind of a dumbass and the girl ALWAYS trys to act all cool and show off by being an ASSHOLE to her mom.so now her an her mom fight regularly. her mom is SUTCH a nice lady. she doesnt need her daughter to hang around a peice of shit boyfreind like him! (you know hes one of those kind of boy freinds who will hurt a girl.) but if i ever see him touch her i will stick my steel toes right up his ass. i will hang that kid off a bridge. but any way things have been getting "dry" around there if you know what i mean thanks to her daughters occasional stupidity and her boy freinds udder retardedness. any way i plan to get rid of this kid sooner or later (dont worry im not going to kill him just get him away from her). ahhh im just ranting now. but it feels so good to type. i need a bowl :(

ive been a regular smoker since i was 16 now im 33.

I had my first hoot at 12....but it didn't appeal to me till I was 20.Iam now 48 and still smokin...gets expensive...sometimes wish I wasn't chronic...but still loving it.

First tried when i was 12,13 dont remember! Am 22 now and still going strong.

I started at the age of 13...cuz that's when my dad finally decided to share...I was itching to try earlier though but I was a lil chicken and I passed whenever I had the chance

I started at 12 in '72..been toking since..gotta lot more tokin to do,especially now because of my bad back,and if the Lord be willing,I'll be able to grow my own medicine and finally git the potency and quality I need. Yup..34 years of tokin--and hopefully another 34 ! lol

I was 12, now 38. I made it a point to let my daughter know it was something I wanted her to avoid untill she was out of school and and old enough to make that decision for herself. She's 23 and does not party. Just because I love it doesnt mean I want my kid doing it. Double standards suck, but sometimes they just cant be avoided.
Wait till your older than pre-teens, older yet is preferrable.

smoked weed first at 12 then got heavily addicted to cigarrettes at 13(like a pack a day smoker) then at 14 i got a job so i could fuel my habits and decided to use the herb to help me quit smoking. so i started smoking weed everyday and i barely ever smoke cigarrettes anymore im 16 now

I started smoking when I was 12 or 13, not sure exactly. I just remember it was the 8th grade. I'm 35 now. All that shit about memory loss and brain damage is exactly that-SHIT.

I would have been the perfect anti-weed poster child in high school. I was stoned almost every day in school and barely graduated. A couple years after graduating high school, however, I decided to go back to school. I end up getting bachelor's degrees in both International Business and Eastern Studies, graduating with honors. Along the way I also managed to learn to speak/read/write Chinese fluently. All while being a regular,at least once a day, smoker. (I also did a lot of acid and lots and lots of shrooms but that's a different story)

Bottom line is that weed really doesn't do anything negative to your brain. As long as you are responsible and can set your priorities there's no argument against using it. If you are naturally a slacker it probably won't help matters much. Even if you don't use it you'll probably still be a slacker though so...

Been toking since i was 16, the only mental strain is the fact they won't leagalize it so they make us all criminals!!!! for smoking a weed that grows naturally i my opinion they give it to all the world leaders then we may have less need to go to war.
