Can you use this for seedlings.. or to soon for Nutes. Doesnt it help with transplanting.. ?
You can successfully use on any and all stages...
Superthrive is not nutrient based. They are vitamins.
I believe that yes, they help prevent stress when transplanting as well as the using of rooting hormone powder.
Yea Superthrive is loaded with vitamines and hormones. Very good for transplanting as well as stress relief and growth booster in all phase of growth.
Actually one of the hormones in Superthrive is called 1-NAA. It promotes stretching. Which is one reason a lot of people suggest that this stuff is great for cloning, seedlings and vegging, but when flowering rolls around to back off. That said many people swear by it for all those applications, but very few suggest using it during flower.
Also was suggested that you can do about the same thing with B1 vitamins (which is Thiamin) without the stretching that the 1-NAA hormone promotes and can be bought at the health food store for way less money.
So it would be safe to use in the water I plan to start my seeds with?
sure, only a few drops per gallon will do pretty fine!
Happy Growing! :D

Then when I found out that a bottle of superThrive costs $10.00 and would last me probably 2 or 3 years a bottle, I considered the potential savings...
I might save a whole .75 cents a year :)
I don't buy the argument of the B1 for less. Truth is there are other things in those brown little bottles that aren't known. Its a good product, its worth the $10.00 to drop some drops into water :)
And why wouldnt I want stretching in flower stage? If I ever did want stretching, thats the time I would want it :)
I don't suggest that Superthrive doesn't work where it's meant to work. From what everyone says, not just you, it seems like it does. But more people suggest using it in the flowering stage isn't the best thing to do. Here's a quote from a horticultural researcher and what he believes. And also suggests that saying a person doesn't know what's in those little brown bottles is way off. For sure you understand how far humans have come in past years in their abilities to decipher exactly what anything on this planet is composed of. It's not like it's impossible to figure it out and the guy has some secret formula that can never be broken.
"Superthrive is simply Vitamin A,B,C,D,E and K with IBA and 1-Naa, two hormones that control elongation and can be used to promote rooting. The rest of the solution is water.
The misleading and almost fraudulent advertising of this company annoys me, nothing but promises for an average product, sure it works but the cost and all...
Superthrive I find is real handy for cloning, but dont overuse it as the 1-NAA becomes inhibitory if too much is used, in other words it stops the plants rooting. IBA also causes elongation in flowering, it leaves the buds with large gaps where there should be pungent female flowers, I dont use it ever during flowering for this reason.
If you want to give the plants a bit of a kick then simply go to a drugstore and buy some Vitamin B tablets, add small amounts once or twice a week. I give them around a 1/4 of a tablet occasionally, it gives them a nice kick and can help alleviate stress, its good for clones also I find."
Yea thats why they still dont know the secret recipe for KFC :)
SOrry but I cant buy the author's claims o fraudulent advertising. Sounds like he has an axe to grind....
Superthrive works from seedlings to end flower.
And to save 2 dollars over 3 years to buy and mix and concoct the same formula doesnt make a bit of sense to me.
Peronally, I wouldnt want to grwo without it. For $3.00 a year, I;ll take every bit of it I can find. And as far as it goes for fucking up the budding process......well my plants have spoken for themselves.
Wanna grow nice healthy plants with big bud?
Use SuperThrive from birth to flower....every other water :)
I would post my Whore and Cunt as reminder but I am too lazy :)
Good dialogue MB....but just the opinion of a couple of stoners :)
Lowes is cheaper than Home DePOT on Supet Thrive !!
theres the couple dollars there.
I agree good dialogue HD. And it's good we can keep it civil. Just shows that we may not be 'just stoners'. ;)
In your defense there are some that swear by Superthrive for their entire grow and are very successful. Way more though use it for everything except flowering because of the stretching. This may be because of some of them growing for other purposes than most. Like selling it for medical reasons... ;).
That said, my two girls are stretched and became that way after I began flowering. Not because I use Superthrive but because I'm light retarded. By that I don't mean I'm sort of retarded...ha I'm sure some think I may be...but do not have even close to enough light for this part of the grow. Am working to resolve that.
And guess what I'll purchase next time I'm at a certain discount store? Superthrive...as I'll use it and draw my own conclusions...instead of just quoting and relaying what people that have grown for decades have to say about their experience with said product. A last little 'jab' there for ya. :D
Have a good one!
P.S. I haven't forgotten about your last comments on genetic potential. ;)
Thanks for all the jabs guys, I'm light retared too I told a Noob he should be 18/24 on light when (18 out of 24 hour), when I mean 18/6.. I think I will get some SuperThrive and use it for my houseplants also.. I think I wont use it for flowering, we will see!
Well this one sure appreciated SuperThrive during Flowering :)Quote:

I'd keep using it though if I were you HD as it turned out to be a pretty good second grow for you. Why change.
I will experiment with it during flowering on two plants, if my damn seeds ever come!
