i know im a little late on this situation but i just saw the entire metallica movie and is it just me or is Lars just a little fucking asshole that you just want to punch in the fucking face. i dont think i would be able to last if i was in that band id kill him. just wondering?
those fuckers killed napster for the sake that the corporations that sponsor them can make a few more bucks.
now dont get me wrong there all great musicians and i love most of their music but lars is just a little bitch that i want to just break a broom stick over his little blond fucking head then stab him in the face with the splintered end. i hate him.
Ya, I agree, Lars is a big time dickhead. He should be glad they still let him play with them and tolerate that shit. I know I wouldn't. There are a hundreds of more drummers better that him, so I don't know why he thinks he's hot shit, but...whatever. No offense to Metallica fans :)
i liked metallica up to black album... thats when they started sucking. and yea i saw that video and they all sounded like a bunch of pussies. they (were) a fucking awesome thrash metal band! they should be out getting drunk and going crazy, not in a room with a councelour talking to each other.

as a drummer, i can safely say that is an insanely unreasonable drumkit.
i would cream myself if i got to play it though.

I used to think Jason Newstead was a fag. Then I saw that documentary on Metallica, he had balls. He was so right. If Metallica needs a shrink to solve their problems after all the shit they've been through, they really are a bunch of spoiled rock stars. Even though that Echo Brain thing he did went nowhere, he might have left the band at the right time. He's not a complete sell out like the rest of those guys in Metallica.
And Dave Mustaine shouldn't be so sad he was kicked out of the group. It's better to rule In Megadeth Hell than serve in Metallica Heaven!

I'm hoping, against all hope, that they'll maintain their wanting to go back to metal, but get off their high throne and realized that st.anger did not make their fans happy. No solo's, shitty sound (production wise), and drums that sound like tin cans. but the biggest problem in my opinion, though nobody seems to mention it (perhapse because they just can't put their finger on it), is they dont' sound angry at all (regardless of what they claim).
back in the day they were about rebellion, anger, pure emotion. now all the songs, even though they're heavy, sound more like:
"oh yeeaaahhh, we've got a rockin' roller attituuuuuuuuude :cool: :cool: :cool: "

I just found an old DVD I had of Metallica rehearsing all the songs from St. Anger. It was an hour and thirty minutes long, and through the whole fucking thing I was thinking to myself "I really hope they play a song from Kill Em All, Ride The Lighting or Master Of Puppets at the end." :(
St. Anger was seriously like the worst metal album ever. I don't even understand how any one of those record business mother fuckers heard that and said, "Yeah, I think this will sell". Terrible doesn't even begin to describe that record. What the fuck is the point of having a lead guitarist if you don't play any guitar solos. Fran-tic-tic-tic-tic-toc. Yeah, great song-writing guys, keep up the good work. Metallica is finished.
I said that to a couple of my buddies the other day, who are both Metallica's biggest fans apparantly (lol), and they narly beat the crap out of me. I guess if you wanna deep-throat Metallica like they seem to then even St Anger is good. =/
