A Long Night of DXM
At about 10:45 PM on a Saturday night I took 855 mg of DXM, a powerful Dissociate, which is considered a pretty high dose for someone like me. Let me tell you, this drug is no joke. This stuff can make a guy go crazy after a bad trip or two. Anyway, at 10:45 I walk down to the bathroom for some water and a trash bag incase I puke when I try swallowing this goddamn stuff. I had to put the drugs in my pocket and slip past my stepbrother without him knowing. Heā??s always been the goddamn anti-drug type. The bastard never lets me do anything I want. I guess this is a good thing; without him Iā??d be in a damn rehab center by now. Anyway, with the 8 ounces of disgusting syrup and 20 pills, Iā??m surprised just physically swallowing the drug isnā??t the part that makes people go insane. The thick, sour flavor of the syrup slowly making its way down my throat just made me just wanna puke and wash my mouth out with soap and water for the next three years. With every gulp, I gagged and had to hold my nose like a little boy who doesnā??t want to drink his goddamn medicine. After ten minutes Iā??d finally swallowed it all. I felt like a beached whale walking back up the stairs and into the upstairs bathroom. I needed to brush my teeth, badly.
For the next 15 minutes or so, I felt really nauseous. At about 11:20 I started to feel slightly buzzed, like Iā??d just slugged down 2 beers. 11:30 came up and I started getting the famous ā??DXM itch.ā? I hate that damn itch. At first its alright, but then it just annoys the hell out of me, like some bastard just tossed a handful of itching power all over my back and scalp. In the end though itā??s always worth it. Thatā??s not the case this time, definitely not. I research the hell out of every single drug I want to use, and all the sources I checked said 7.5 mg/kg and up makes a hallucinogenic high. I took 14 mg/kg and still didnā??t hallucinate. It might just be the way my goddamn brain is built. Some people can hallucinate like crazy with only about 8 mg/kg for crissake.
After about an hour of not hallucinating, I wanted to fall asleep. I had to get up for church in the morning, god I hate church. I figured I might as well watch a couple shows before I go to sleep. This really didnā??t work out because I was so high that I forget everything in a few seconds. I start laughing at the joke and before Iā??m done laughing I forget what the goddamn joke is. That kills me. When I got really tired, I turned the TV off and tried to sleep. I started to notice the itching even more when I laid down. I couldnā??t remember much from then on, but it was really weird. My goddamn back itched where I wasnā??t able to scratch it and I couldnā??t fall asleep. I was going crazy, moving around every few seconds because no position was comfortable. All of a sudden I realized I had to take a goddamn crap. I canā??t remember exactly how many times I tried to walk to the bathroom but it was probably two or three. Each time I tried, I had to hold onto something when I walked. I could not balance at all when I stood up. Once I hit the hallway, there was nothing to hold onto, so I just walked back to my bed. Every time I looked at the clock it had only been four or five minutes since the last time, but it felt like hours. The last time I looked at the clock was at 2:03 AM, and shortly after I finally fell asleep.
This experience made me realize that DXM is not for me. Itā??s not worth destroying my liver over unpleasant effects, especially that damn itch. I will never do DXM again, but Iā??m glad I had this experience. Iā??ve learned never to take drugs alone, and not to take drugs when I want to fall asleep soon.
