Help with a pipe problem

well here is my problem, i have this pipe, that i love, its a great little pipe, easy to hide and works very well. Anyways i dont know what i did but the inside of the pipe is rusting, the bowl is fine, but the insides of the neck or whatnot is completly rusted (this really makes me sad). I dont really think smoking out of a rusted pipe would be all that good for you so i have since reloacted it into the frezzer in the hope to prevent it from rusting any further. Anyways, does anyone know of a possible method to make the pipe useable? i dont really want to end up having to throw it away but if their is no hopes i will let go of it. Any help would be greatly appriciated

Clean the rust off it with one of those industrial rust cleaners, very expensive though.

boil your bowl in water or something

im pretty sure water is never the way to go for removing rust, espically hot water since it is one thing that will cause rust

scrape it all off.

Your pipe is dead. May it rust in peace.
It will never stop rusting.You can slow it but itll never stop unless you treat it with something equally as bad for your health. And the fact that it is rusting at all to begin with means it isnt made of suitable metals for pipes. Each time you toke from it you inhale particles of rusted metal.
You know you dont want that.

yeah thats what i thought, odds are i will head over to the Aslyum some time this week and pick a new one up.....ohhhhh the choices

and make sure you get a Glass screen for your glass potwear.

remember, glass and metal expand at different rates

Glass Piece = Glass Screen
Metal Piece = Metal Screen

Is 'under the sun' still around? They used to have some sweet deals on pocket pipes.

is that so? i never knew that, i have a bubbler with a glass bowl and i have been using a metal screen, i never even knew about glass screens. I will have to look into this

there is a cleaner out ther for pipes i think there is one for metal...but its called 420 something? idk all i know is that it comes in a plastic bottle and says 420 on it...i use it on my glass and it makes it look like the day i bought it...you should be able to find it at any head shop

yeah, but like Funky said, once something starts to rust it will always do so. so i will just send it to the graveyard and pick myself a new pride and joy.

Glass screens dont look like metal screens. I have one in my hammer and basically all it is is a very small bit of blown glass sort of in the shape of a "jack" (like from the game where you bounce the ball and pick up the jacks). It sits in the bottom of your bowl and kinda half plugs up the hole, making it smaller so ash doesn't fit through but smoke does. They work great. The only problem is the first couple of times you cash your bowl the screen will probably fall out so be careful. Once there is enough sticky resin in there it wont be a problem.

To clarify...

Glass expands slower than metal. when you put a metal screen in a glass piece (bong or pipe) and heat it. the metal begins to expand inside the bowl. this actually channels the heat like a magnifying glass into the bottom of the chamber... eventually.. slowly but surely if you keep using a metal screen, a hole will be bored into it... over time.. it will just.. break.

Yea I think I got my stores mixed up. Its been a while.I was referring to Guelph but second guessed myself after. I believe I was confusing the hydro store for the hemp store. A quick online check showed no 'under the sun' in guelph.
Hmm, I cant even use the 'oops, Im baked' excuse hehe.
