Well i got the exhaust/vent system up and running.....
Used a blower I had...getting through BRICK wall not an easy thing....
All piped with 4 " to the outside of the building with a dryer vent at the end :)
Conditions went from 95 degrees 90% humidity
to..........................85 degrees 65% humidity

Anything else I can do to improve quality????

Dark temps around 70....
One pedistal fan in opposite corner blowing towards exhaust fan...
exhaust fans runs when light on
pedistal runs 24/7
Alright!!! I love the inititive. You will have no problem growing, if you are willing to do what it takes to stay within the parameters of the plant...You, just might be worthy of a "Labcoat" one day, Heads4...Grow ON!
Looks good but being an old bricklayer, if you'd have moved over from the center of the block (to the right) it would've been way easier. In the center of a block like that there's a concrete web. You had to go right through the center of it. But good job not breaking the whole block out of there! I've punched holes like that many times. Takes about 2 minutes with a hammer.
Only problem I see is that if you're venting the air out of that room with mj plants growing in there, hopefully you don't have neighbors right next door to you. Course maybe they wouldn't recognize the smell of flowering cannabis. Or maybe it's legal where you live?
These bricks have the two supports about 1/3 of the way in on each side so the middle is open :)
Hoping the smell isn't a problem out of the outside of the vent....
Now im just hoping these babies take off
And i definanty was wailing away with a hammer drill, hammer, and chisel...
Not fun but it's all done now :)

I've read about 25% humidities during flowering as being ideal...
Is this actually realistic if you're not in the desert?
And will 55-65% humidity give me problems??

i heard 30-40% humidity when flowering... and it is definately possible... you just get to learn more about humidity ;)

Heads, its all about the degree you wanna push. In perfectionist terms, you will now need to get a dehumidifier to bring down the humity to the ideal range of about 25% for flowering.
You need to make 3 more holes in your wall.

Again, the 25% should be the goal or the objective and the closer you are to it, the better your plant will grow towards its genetic expression.
I just cant really tell you how proud I am to see you actually do this.

The high temps and the fan exhaust will remove most of the moisture for you I suspect.
My only concern......what kind of fan is that and how many CFM does it move?
Also, is dryer vent hose what the exhausted air is being run thru?
Many fans have low static pressure, meaning, the more resistance or the farther the air must travel the weaker the blower / exhaust fan is.
Can you tell me more about your fan and pipe system running outside?
Again, you showed what so many growers or would be growers dont show, and that is the will and determination to get it right :)

Here is a pic of venting coming out of other side of wall....
It is 4 inch expandable ehaust vent. ( At any hardware store/menards/homedepot)
I have a 25 foot run that goes to a dryer vent to the outside of the building.
I put my hand under the outside vent and there is definantly a steady warm airflow coming out.
I put my nose to it and there is no mistaking the aroma :)
There would be water droplets on ceiling and water on floor b4 installed...
Now room is DRY :)

I am still wondering about your fan.
That type if flew hose is fine...you just need to have a really good fan to force the air out and down that tube efficiently.
The benefits are enormous and you may even be able to bring temps down another 5 degrees or so if your fan isn't quite enuff. A vortex fan would be killer right there :)
I know you have air coming out the other side.....how strong is the flow? Can you light a lighter right in front of it and keep it lit?
You should have a strong air blowing out...strong enuff to keep a lighter from staying lit at least a foot away.
The flow passes the lighter check...

A lighter won't light or stay lit at a foot away. :) I guess this is good.
Do you suspect my grow will really take off now??
The heat reduction will help certain aspects of the grow. Heat doesnt really retard MJ growth so I wouldnt expect to see a result right away because of the ventilation.Quote:

Also, is the paint in the room flat white and is it freshly coated?
Yuo might wanna lay some mylar all over the place, but your pics show yellow walls which i assume is the HPS light?
Take some pics of the whole layout with the HPS off..... :)

Nice job there...but you need to work on your reflection a bit.
Those little tiny holes in the mason block eat light like a black hole.
Next grow, you will want to line your walls with mylar or paint a nice fat two coats with a hand brush on those walls and fill in the thousands of little light traps.
Plus next grow you can lose the reflector and we can help get the relections a lot better.
