Hi yesterday was my first lsd trip one of which i enjoyed. When i was coming down i was talking to a friend about acid and he was telling me how he thought that acid makes you trip by making your brain bleed and dripping blood on your spine. I thought this was retarded as this was the first time id heard this theory and ive done hours of research looking into lsd. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this theory or if it is true (which i highly doubt.

the blood part is totaly bs, but i have heard that if you crack your back that you can induce an acid flash back, anyone know if this is true

Drugs don't make you 'trip' by causing damage to your brain or making it bleed, though im sure the government would like you to believe that. LSD affects dopamine, adrenergic and serotonin receptors in the brain. Many hallucinogens seem to affect the serotonin system (regulates sleep/wake cycle, mood, appetite, pain etc.) and LSD has a very high binding affinity to 5-HT1 and 5-HT2 receptors (that would usually be occupied by serotonin, a neurotransmitter) meaning that it fits very well in these receptor sites (better than serotonin does). Most interesting is that LSD is excreted from the body shortly after it is ingested, within hours most of it is already gone. It is suggested then that it works by 'awakening' parts of the brain that are normally inactive.

actually your brain naturally drips blood. What makes you trip in shrooms and lsd is either the lsd or the Psilocybin (sp) dripping down onto your spine. This is why after repeated use of lsd you can have a flashback because the lsd builds up in your spine, thus the cracking of your back can induce a flashback. However if you do LSD once or twice the chances of this happening are remote.
ive done lsd more than a few tmes and nope sorry never happened to me..can u give me some advice on how to make it happen ahaa?
