WTF is this little plant??

Hey. I took a peek outside this morning to see how that big rain storm treated us last night. Took a stroll through the yard and immediately spied this little guy and his tiny friend. I was like WTF right away and ran in for my camera. Im going to pull it whatever it is but thought Id see if it just may be what it appears to be first. It has less blades on the leaves than I am accustomed to seeing but there are many strains Ive never seen so its worth asking. If anyone has any idea Id be happy to hear it. Im curious.

yea the camera isnt really showing the serrated edges well, and they are not as deep and Ive seen either.
Im not going to keep it regardless since its just too similar to keep ppl from wandering in if it gets any bigger.

i doubt it its weed but theres only one way to find out :)

Don't pull it just yet, fuck other people, if the police come tell them you wouldn't be stupid enough to grow next to the car in the front yard (your drive it looks like) and let it grow and just see what happens, or pull it, and put it back in the ground round the back of your house, either way you have nothing to lose:D

Well,you guys were right...its officially not a pot plant. I went outside to take a close up of the leaves where they join the stem to bring in to compare... and my neihbour's son was checking me out. Just to avoid any bullshit I took it across the street to the police station like a good law obiding citizen would do. Even if it was pot I didnt want someone elses shit growin in my yard. So the officer was cool about it and told me it wasnt and how he knew it wasnt.Drew me a couple pictures of what a real pot plant looks like and told me how to identify one by apppearance and smell and thanked me and tossed it in the garbage.
He joked a bit and I left.
So, now I know.
That was fun.

come on edgar it IS close or I wouldnt have posted. The pictures really dont do it justice. It was enough to make me do a double take.
Im not completely clueless my friend. Have you ever seen maple leaf or ducks foot? There are many varieties and some defy conventional descriptions to the point that even the most experienced amoung us are fooled.
But as it is its just some weed that Ive never seen that decided to grow in my yard.

looks like some sort of mint, or a wild weed....what does it smell like?

It would be safe to let it grow bigger because it is not weed. I can just tell because that plant doesn't have the trademark fan leaves.

yeah there's no ruffles or anything like that....the smell would be the hallmark of it....

Funky, have you seen 'it' growing in person? Its pretty distinct, especially when it comes to the smell.

I also wondered about a few weeds before I'd seen the real deal.

i have to agree with edgar. That plant wasnt even close. when i opened this thread and saw that i immediatly started laughing. An dont try to say it is close because its not.

like I said Ive recently been exposed to ducksfoot and maple leaf and that shit breaks the preconcieved notions of what pot should look like. I had to wonder if it was a strain I had never seen thats all.

Its not that I went there to see if it was weed but I went there to clear it up before my neighbour made a call. read the post man. He's a good kid but fuckin has the cops on the block when he sees the guys across the street walk to the store with their beers in hand.

He showed the pictures of the ducksfoot, and Maple leaf because they ARE weed but don't look like our pre concieved ideas of it. A little reading comprehension goes a long way.

But that last pic of the dried leaves actually does look like cannabis, (Which it is.) except that the leaf parts are fused together. The first two pics of them where too small and shitty for me to really make out the details.

Too bad about all the shitty remarks.
