Wild Marijuana?

While wandering the beautiful green fields near my house in Northern Virginia I've come across what looks very similar to marijuana, only a little shorter, and it is currently (end May/early June) producing yellow blossoms. The leaves are exactly shaped like marijuana leaves, some plants have 5, some 7, but they're slightly fuzzy. The plant grows in stalks, like pot, and the buds are at the top of the plant. The plant structure is identical to marijuana, only a bit miniaturized. I was wondering if anyone knew the name of this species(which is clearly in the cannabis family), and if it has any worthwhile THC content, and if it's worth smoking. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds pretty cool! Next time you check it out you should take a pic and post it. I wouldn't know what it was, but I'd still like to check out a pic of it!

I bought seeds off of some guy and it grew and the way u described it was exactly like what i got, it has little or no smell but it is cannibis sative but i dunno what kind....i smoked some of the bud and i got a nice buzz from it but i want to know what type of weed it is...ill get a pic of what i have and u tell me if its the same shit

hey man that sounds very familiar i got a crap load of it by my house 2 and its makin me mad becuz it isnt showin male or female yet and its like 1 1/2 ft i can get pics 2 man i dont understand i love the stank of weed but it doesnt have it :(

i know, all the shit that grew outta the seeds i had have a lil stench, but their all male im pretty sure n e way, ill get a leaf and a flower and scan them and put em on here

hey man heres the pics i took real fast man lol i just went out and grabbed a plant lol is it similar? what really makes me mad u cant see male or female and its quits annoying but were running a light cycle of the sun wich is like 16 bhours light 8 dark so its prolly in veg state gotta wait till flower but yeah man the pics i dont get it i have like approxiomately 300-400 plants of this that grow around my houseits weed but im not sure if it worth smokin or not well hit me back

well youll never know if its smokable untill u try right?, dry a leaf then burn it to see how it smells, smoke it see if it gets u high or buzed or w/e

u could dig up a few of the plants and grow them on the side of what ur growin as like a side project, put some good soil fert etc see how it grows, no man i dunno n e thin bout it i normally grow ak-47 and the diferent hazes,sry

oh and even genetically speaking, there are plenty of cannabis plants.... but only one species that produces thc.... so it may be a cannabis plant...but nothing worthwhile unless you plan on making some hemp rope

i found the same plants dirty and they got me fucked up i couldnt walk striaght but it only lasted for like 30 mins

Hey MarijuanaLuver, if you love cannabis so much, then you'd spend some time actually doing some book research. Whatever plant is in that pic you posted, is not cannabis. Smoke it if you want, but I if you guys are getting high off of it I don't know what chemicals you are ingesting. And it does look like that plant is flowering.

honestly i dont know what the hell the plant is its not flowering you yet because you cant even tell the sex and were getting 16 hours light 8 dark so the time is all wrong for flowering and ive done research i just cant find ne thing that looks like or describes plants like this i dont even know if its worth smoking im just keeping an eye on them tho to see if they show sex ne time soon its rather annoying actually because they puzzle me o well gotta learn somehow lol oh yeah this is to sawleaf if ya didnt know

Are you a culitvation, botany, horticulture expert??? There are many plants that resemble cannabis that grow wild. Marijuanaluver, in the five pics posted you can clearly see that that plant is flowering. That is not cannabis, but you kids can have fun experimenting with your wild weed.

Okay Marijuanaluver, yeah I was my last post was mostly directed to HobbsifeR. But I talking about the pics you posted though. Oh and if you are going to make absinthe, it isn't really worth it. It tastes like crap and the psychotropic value of it is pretty weak. I have drank tons of it overseas, and honestly I find that it is a waste of time. If you want to trip and get drunk, shrooms and an beer will be a whole lot better! :)

For all who've seen a similar plant (and for those assholes who mock those of us just out there exploring and having a good time), that happy plant with marijuana-like leaves is, sadly, not. It is called Potentilla, or Five Finger, or Cinquefoil, and is actually in the rose family.

And for those of you who make fun of those who may have tried to smoke this, i'm not saying it's a good idea, but who the hell do you think figured out you could smoke cannabis and get stoned? you are probably thanking them.

i thought potheads were mellow, man. get out of the city and take a walk in some grassy field...think hippie. they were happy for a reason.
