I always do weed at night, and it always makes me sleepy, and my current music collection is not sufficient for sleeping. Anyone reccomend any good music to sleep to?

Got floyd?
I downloaded the 8 album collection, but some of them are really annoying to listen to, nothing consistent.
white noise or pink noise are technically the best music to sleep to. Same sort of things sleep machines use
Pink Floyd, preferably "Dark Side of the Moon." "The Wall" keeps me awake!
pink floyd, the album animals is the best to sleep to. i do it all the time.
Come to think of it, I have falen asleep to "Animals," but it just reaffirms that Floyd is mellow stuff. My ex-girlfriend was into Radiohead, and we would fall asleep with some of their stuff in the CD player, but I've never been a big fan - I just didn't want to sleep on the couch! :)
Floyd. But I'll have to go with Dark Side, as well. I've never quite been into Animals as much as some of my friends. Glad you broke it off with her 1e64102e; Radiohead is trash, IMHO.
i own meddle, wish you were here, animals, the wall, and dark side of the moon and out of all those albums i think pigs is the best song by floyd.
o yea, and i've also fallen asleap to red hot chili peppers album "what hits?" its completley different from pink floyd but for some reason puts me to sleep.
LMAO, Profane. I don't like them either, as you know. As far as me dumping her...well, that sounds good to me! :)Quote:

Yeah i didn't really like falling asleep to Pink Floyd (though I like their music awake), but I went outside really fucking stoned and just pulled out a lawn chair in the backyard and listened to the wind in the trees. It was awesome.Quote:

i used to play the entire evanescence cd when i was going to sleep.
Got a rainforest cd myself and nothing gets me to sleep faster than that shit, unless i'm seriously stoned, cos then i get paranoid with all the jungle sounds...lol...What also works for me is Enya, or some native american chanting...
Opeth's album 'damnation.' Opeth is a death metal band, but damnation is a super mellow album. I don't even think there is any distorted guitar, and the singers clean vocals are very soothing.
I just picked up a Dave Brubeck album yesterday, and after giving it 4 or 5 listens decided it would be quite pleasant to fall asleep to, I was right. I can listen to any coltrane when I fall asleep. Cannonball Adderly is also a favorite.
Clapton has lots of good sleeping music if you pick it right. The grateful dead is mellow, sometimes it is nice to fall asleep to.
Porcupine tree has TONS of very atmospheric stuff, check out 'The sky moves sideways.' Phish has some stuff, again you probobly want to review them before putting together a cd or playlist. Martin Sexton is an amazing singer and has lots of mellow rock songs, some might tickle your sleeping fancy. Previous g/f was into sleeping to coldplay, I can't listen to that stuff anymore, but lots of people dig on it. The first gorillaz album is real good to listen to on the way to sleep, I assume the new one is the same.
Mmm you were right about Dave Brubeck, that's exactly what I needed, thanks man! My mom listens to that guy, she loves it, I pulled out one of the CDs and it was perfect. I love Take Five :D
I'm not too much of a fan of Coldplay either, my ex was though. I do, however, dig "God put a smile on your face". Seems like the perfect music to put in a love scene of a movie
classical every night for me.
