Well, my bet is Neil Peart from Rush. He's been all over the world and won drum competitions, including places in Africa where they can make the drums speak. Drumset of Gold, I've seen him live five times.
When the band would travel from San Francisco to L. A., Neil would ride his bike.
soz, moderator please delete this thread, i made another thread above, please post in that, cheers :D

joey jordinson, no question... and im serious
if you argue with me, you are dumb
Bonom.
i would vote joey jordison aswell....but ill would HAVE to vote for Gene Hooglan (from strapping young lad) he is far better than joey......the best drummer i have ever seen.....
also that hakke guy from meshugga is pretty awsome
Neil Pert! Good call!
Can't believe no one has mentioned Danny Carey, or John Bonham.
Must be a bunch of young bloods posting in this thread...
INSULT!!!
I'll have to go with Bill Bruford.
And Terry Bozzio.
older people insult younguns as if they dont know whats going on in the world, maybe its the other way round, im sure you dont listen to slipknot, so you dont know if the drummer is worse than your old ledgend drummers

Just answer me this: Did Joey ever play a solo with his bare hands in concert? I don't think so.

John Bonham of Led Zep. sometimes played with his hands during solos. If interested, see if you can find a live version of the song "Moby Dick". Sometimes his solos would last as long as 30 mins. Granted, he was a single kick drummer, but he was easily one of the best.
Sigh... this is waaaay too easy. Danny Carey. That's all that needs to be said.
This thread is over.
if you consider the source, its kind of pittyful, the only thing you really know about me is..
my point is, dont judge me, i dont read everyones signitures before i post
Get over youself, Korn boy. It was never about you.
Bout time someone else mentioned him. I knew I couldn't have been the only one here to recognize his talents...Quote:
