Stoned Paranoia/Misc. Questions

I have smoked pot a few times, and when I get high, colors seem more vibrant, and aside from that I just get anxious.
How can I learn to enjoy this wonderful drug?

Will I always be nervous when I smoke? Could it be caused by anxiety about things going on in my family? Is it because every time I've smoked I've been a little bit drunk? Should I try taking the pot in smaller amounts? Would it be better to eat it? Is it because I'm self conscious about how I'll act and I should therefore do it alone? Should I try it in the daytime for a change? Will I simply have to become used to the effects of the drug over time in order to have a very enjoyable experience?

These are all the questions racing through my mind when I consider smoking reefer again, and I want to do it right. Please help me out. Many thanks.

Hey man here you go. Don't drink with your pot. Smoke it and just listen to music and think about the music. Close your eyes and it will be a sweet visual to go with the music. Maybe have a couple friends over and laugh with em at stupid shit cause everything will be funny. Don't think about getting caught or anything. But I do know what you mean. I used to always like freak out, it was like I was a crack addict lookin for a fix lol. But now I just chill man so just relax.

Well if so far you have gotten anxious every time you've smoked then it's in your mind that the next time the same thing is gonna happen, so it will...

Find a nice calm private spot, find a nice wooded area where no1 goes and drive your car back there, have some friends around you, and light up, another important thing is clear your schedule so there is no pressure to act sober right away, just relax, put on some good music and breathe. Don't drink when you smoke because booze is a depressant, it shuts off controll centers in your brain so it becomes hard to remove negitive thoughts once they take hold...

Smoke More.

Had the same problem bud. Smoke by yourself in a stress free environment and try to hang with only people that wouldn't have you be anything but yourself. ;)

your problems will never be solved by hiding from them. confront the problems with your family - solve them. this goes for any other problems you have too. it'll always be there until you do something about it.
worrying about how you'll act is a self-control issue, which could also come with immaturity of the drug. get used to it, figure out how your mind works when your high. you're your own specimen, experiment.

smoke somewhere you at complete comfort. i.e. don't smoke outside where cops could see you, don't smoke where your parents could find you. getting high (atleast for me) is an enhancer.....it makes food taste better, as you said colors seem more vibrant, feelings, well they have more feeling in them (heheheh i love gettin head high). just kick back relax, smoke a blunt and chill for a couple of hours. i have a friend that always gets mad paraniod when she hears sirens if were smoking...i always have to remind me (cuz she freaks) that if they were coming for us they wouldn't give us warning by using sirens.

I've never understood why people get paranoid on weed, i think it has more to do with the individual feeling guilty about smoking rather than the weed itself.

getting high out in the woods where no one can find you is great. the problem i think most poeple have is that they worry to much about things they have to do later rather than just chilling and saying " hey, im just gonna chill out and do what ever the fuck i feel like doing when im high even if that means doing nothing." i used to get nervous after i would smoke but now most of the people i know including my parents know i smoke weed so i just tell myself even if i do get caught it wouldn't be so bad. when i get high i don't like to be high around sober people especially people that think smoking pot is horrible and un-healthy. also trying to do stuff like sleeping or playing video games is nice high because you can forget about whats around you and just chill. also, i recommend just smoking a lot more that will chill you out.

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE- akin' me out: it seems I just posted one where I said to go for a hike! The next thread! Just meditate next time you get high, do you know how? Tense your muscles and relax them, but when you do that squeeze your entire face into your nose. I'm sure there are certain methods and it will defitely make you feel more relaxed. Or do Pilates.
