Weak First DXM Experience

So I was sitting at home today, all my friends have to work late, I just smoked the last of my weed this morning, no movies out from Netflix. What's a kid to do? Go through the medicine cabinet looking for DXM-containing Cough Syrup to trip off of.

Luckily, my family had some Robitussin Cough Gels that contained only DXM hBr. I was really nervous about ODing (not fatally, but getting sick/too high of a plateau) so I only took 15 pills (150 mg). Well, a half hour passed and I didn't feel anything, not even nausea. So I just popped the last 5 in the container. 45 Minutes later (hour and 15 minutes total) still not feeling anything. Kinda disappointed, I wanted to get fucked up. We also have a bottle of Deslym but that has another ingredient and I don't feel like getting sick.

Ah well, next time I'm out I'll have to get 2 bottles of gel caps.

EDIT: Actually I think I have a slight case of music euphoria, because I'm fucking rocking out to Sleater Kinney over here.

Hmm wouldnt 15 be...225mg since each gel cap contains 15mg. So taking all of them would be 300mg. THats what i usually do. It can take up to 2 hours to feel it, the first time i tried it, it took over 2 hours to feel it, but once it hit....oh boy once it hit :D

Oh my god.. you're right. I was thinking each cap was 10 mg for some reason. Oh fuck man, so am I in for a fucking rush at.. 12:45? (2 hours after). hahaha oh man I'm fucking scared now this is great :D

EDIT: fuck man, my hands aren't even mine. i guess this DXM is finally kicking in. The bottle does say 8 hour formula, so I guess its meant for extended time release or something. fuck me

(did I say that in my firs t post? hmm) dude i definitly have that high/drunk feeling because i'm so unbalanced and uncoordinated, i didn't realize this DXM was so powerful until i got up and went to the kitchen. walking is fucking hard as fuck.

man I want to do stuff, but i can't even lift myself up. it feels like gravity is pulling extra hard on myself, kinda when I get really high. O ki take it back this is not a weak experience. i'm not tripping, so in that respect i'm disappointed, but I definitly have that high/drunk feel.

Actually my 200mg was a wrong thing. i cant even think of hte word. i actually took 285mg (19 caps). i felel prety fucked up like drunk/high, not tripping.

Delsym will get you stoned, just drink the whole bottle, it contains Dextromethorphan polistirex, its a longer DXM high, but not as strong, but still is pretty strong.

Wow, that was some heady shit. Definitly felt drunk and high. Trying to recount the night..

12:00 - onset begins, talk to a few friends online

12:30 - full effect hits, try to walk to kitchen, but incredibly uncoordinated

12:45 - turn off the light, close my eyes, and trip out to some Mars Volta

1:30 - start to feel sick, very light headed, just lay down and closed my eyes

2:00 - sick feeling passes, wave of euphoria hits

2:30 - this is where the night got strange. I definitly had this euphoric feeling, similar to the one I got after my shrooms trip. the kind where you just realize everything about the universe, but of course you don't feel the same way once you're sober. But among the most insane things I realized while I was in this state was that I was in love, and I never had that feeling before in my life. Not for anyone, not for anything. But I just felt totally disconnected from the world, like no one mattered, except this one girl that I just wanted on my bed so I could hold forever. I actually felt like I could spend eternity in embrace on my bed. Very heady stuff to think about.

3:00 - turn off the iPod (which had been playing nonstop from 12:45) and switch on this Fresh Prince marathon on TV

4:00 - getting really tired, start to go to sleep. before I fell asleep I got up one more time to walk and I was still pretty 'drunk'. go to sleep anyways.

Crazy night. I really doubt I'll be doing DXM anytime soon again, maybe just once more this summer in a higher dosage to achieve a more hallucinogenic trip. But it just wasn't insane enough and the euphoric feeling wasn't worth that half hour of sickness. Also, I'll admit, I'm afraid of brain lesions that are associated with discotive drugs.

Heh.. try doing 600 mg. Talk about fun. Just turn on your Ipod, lay down, and think about what life means.

Pretty sure that the dude who wrote "This is your brain on dissociatives" recalled it because he wasn't sure if it was true or not.
