New to the Salvia scene. Help?

Okay, so i just started smoking MJ recently, I'm loving it like everyone here sure does. Where i live an ounce is about 300$ Thats pretty expensive for me, hell, 100$ is pretty expensive. Ive been looking around for some alternatives (read on before you start the "alternatives r shit, and ure stupid, blah blah.) I have found three things so far:

1. Hawaiian Gold Bud
2. Dutch Haze
3. Salvia Divinorum

The Hawaiian gold looks like it would be good, plus its dirt cheap. As with all dirt cheap things, i imagine it really doesn't do much, but i would love to hear different. Researching has brought me to the conclusion that the Salvia is the only semi-decent pick of the bunch. Now what i want to know is how exactly do i smoke it? Since its an extract it will just be a liquid? do i just pour it into a glass pipe and heat it up? im not sure how this works.. I have a nice bic, and am content to use my glass pipe. I don't have, nor really want to purchase a water bong or torch lighter, i will take the chance. I found some on iamshaman.com for a good price, what i need to know is how many bowls will 1 gram do? I would like to get myself and a friend fucked up if possible on 1 gram, if it works out i will get some more. I would be buying the Standardized 6X or 10x (suggestions for first timers?).

I will probably buy a half ounce of Hawaiian gold bud just to give it a shot (the pictures sure look tasty) and if it doesn't work, its only about 20$.

that legal buds is shit, ive smoked shitloads of that and it doesnt do anything, salvia on the otherhand, when uused properly, knocks you on your ass, its not liquid, the extracts such as 5X means that one leaf of 5x is 5 times as strong as a 1x leaf, so u dont need to smoke as much, a gram of salvia is suprisingly a lot due to its light weight, me and my friend bought a gram of 5x in england and we only got through like half of it in a week, its a really short high but its intense as fuck, make sure you have a sober friend with you the whole time, it makes you feel more at ease...if youve never tried any other drugs than weed then be prepared to have a bad trip with it cuz you dont expect it to be so weird, shit this is a long post, jus tload it in ur peice (not too mucch, only a few leaves at first and build up) and smoke it like you would normal weed except try to smoke it all in one hit and hold it in for aroubnd 20 seconds, by the time you blow it out ull feel it kick in most likley, but i highly doubt ull be able to smoke a gram in one night

Thanks man, that clears up a lot. I went ahead and ordered a new glass pipe, as well as the Hybrid Bash Combo from herbalsmokeshop.com. I figure it dosent hurt (just my wallet) to give it a try. Im also ordering a gram of Salvia. If none of this works, i will just go back to the 300$ an ounce deal :p

Ok, salvia is nothing like weed. It's a trip its not a nice smooth high. If you get strong enough stuff you will be rocketed away from yourself. You could have all sorts of experiences that you may or may not want to take place. Salvia is not a casual party drug.

I've had one mild trip with it using 1x extract. I plan to use it again with a much more powerful extract.

Also I don't know why you would turn to salvia as it seems to be more expensive than weed. In addition people who reach the "full effects" of salvia rarely continue use. I guess its not a "fun" drug so much as a "discovery" drug. My trip was mild and light hearted, I was also pretty high from weed so that probobly played a role in my trip.

The other stuff is supposed to be garbage, but I've never used it, based on the reports of others.

If you want the weed high, you have to smoke weed. If you just want any form of intoxication check out www.erowid.org there are LOTS of drugs out there. Just educate yourself on what you are doing.

mono, yeah i realize its a trip drug, and I'm "prepared" for that. I would just like to try it out once. Thanks for the info and linkage, i will check it out. In all likelihood i will just buy more MJ, but i like to try things to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth (or not missing out on something). I have heard a few tales that the legal herb is pretty good, so i figure its worth a shot, each persons different, and if i can get a decent high on legal herb, more power too me. ;)

You can smoke (vapor is better) or chew it (swallow for the whole high)

It is not liquid, at least not what we get here in Europe. The 10 percent is basically leached concentrate that is re-applied to leaves. So you still get a dry substance to smoke, chew and try.

It is not a stoner high, it is a psychedelic. You must get a big hit when you smoke, hold it. You will know when to exhale. I usually put a bit of weed at the bottom of the pipe and the salvia on top. Take a deep hit; because, in my experience you donâ??t get a good second try. Using a good vaporizer would be better as smoke will release a lot of carbon dioxide.

The bud I am just like you, have not tried it yet, but it looks prime.

For 300 you can buy a light, seeds, pots and fertilizer and never again be slave to the man again smoking all you want. 1 light would give you an average of 300 to 800 grams per grow (2 months) of your choice of weed. Im going to try adding a little weed at the bottom for good measure also. I got a half ounce of MJ for 130$ so if the legal shit dosent work out, i have a backup. ;)

Yes, Salvia can be a very hardcore trip and is nothing you've ever experience before in your life...IF you smoke it the right way.
(To anyone who decides I don't know what i'm talking about: I've been selling salvia extract (retail) to ppl for almost 3 years, and have hosted many salvia parties. I know my fucking shit)
First, 10x is a good start, but if you've never taken any kind of hallucigen before, why not try mush first? If you like the 10x, go for 15x or 20x EXTRACT. None of this leaf bullshit it won't get you fucked.
Next, you need to smoke it out of a pipe (i see you bought one!)
You can put some MJ at the bottom no prob, just don't overload it.
You'll only need a 0.1 to get fucked off of salvia. Because its 10x, use an amount about the size of the tip of your pinkie finger.
Now, this is the important part.
USE A BUTANE TORCH LIGHTER. You need a REALLY hot flame for the active substances to be released properly.
TAKE THE BOWL IN ONE HUGE HIT, HOLD IT IN FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN AND NEVER LET THE FLAME LEAVE THE BOWL.
SIT THE FUCK DOWN before you inhale.

How safe is Salvia? Like if i do enjoy it, how often could i smoke it? Im not really aiming to be retarded before im 21. Salvia is fairly safe, its been used by southwest indians for ages, and as far as I know there have been no instances of medical problems. Smoking anything will hurt your lungs, but in terms of the chemical makeup of salvia, things appear to be fairly safe.

i can almost guarantee you will never "stick" with salvia. NOTEHooks got it it is a good idea to experience it but you'll never really want to go trip on salv i bet. If you wanna do it make sure you have a butane lighter so you dont waste any... And make sure you dont have too much - the first tim ei tried it ( i was trippin on about 5 gs of shrooms ) i had a full bowl and spent the whole thing on one hit. All I remember dropping the pipe and blacking out and then coming back to a world that everything was plastic and it felt that i was looking at my self and i sounded like a completely different person - and my thigs were totally gone :S lol newayz if you do it make sure you have a sitter there tetlling you "man, its just the drugs"
