Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Hey guys whats up...
I decided to try smoking weed again too see if I am really allergic to it or if it could be something else. Now today Im experiencing the following....
Throat tightness still
Difficulty focusing, having to blink to much
Headache (like something is pounding my head) new
feeling warm in my chest: new
Is this normal? Will it wear off or do I have to goto a doctor to get a check up.
How long till the THC wears off the system?

Tried smoking again: More Problems....
It isn't normal to feel unconfortable in any way smoking MJ.
Now, one of my buddies has the eye problem like you. Your eyes dry out right? His does. That is normal in some cases. Use some Visine or Clear Eyes after you smoke up to keep those eyes moist. That should take care of it.
A headache too is normal. Was it bad weed you smoked? Like, low quality? I know if I some low quality smoke, or some even pumped full of chemicals, or even if I smoke too much...I get a headache.
Feeling warm, that's a good thing! :D You should feel warm after you smoke up.
Now the throat tightness. Are you perhaps just thirsty? My mouth gets so dried out sometimes making it difficult to swallow.
If these effects are worrying you, maybe you should consider vaporizing your herb, or quitting altogether. It doesn't sound like you're having a pleasent experience smoking up, so why continue. Good luck.

Nochowder gave really good advice. ^.^ I second his recommendation for vaporizing. There are alot of decent guides out there for making lightbulb vapes etc. cheaply and easily.

Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Now Im feeling this...
1. Hard to keep focus
2. Stomach feels sick (also it feels like my chest is a bit tight)
3. Had this bad headache in both sides of my head
4. My body feels drained out (from head to toe)
5. My body also feels numb (from head to toe)
6. A bit shaky
7. A lil difficult to breathe
8. When I eat something, my body doesnt want to accept it.
OMG Is this normal, will this wear off. It's monday morning and I've been experiencing this since saturday afternoon. Im seeing a doctor tomorrow.

It is possible to be allergic to marijuana - and nearly any other substance, as well. Though rare, the symptoms are in line with what you are experiencing. It is best to be honest with your doctor and tell him what you believe is causing the symptoms. Since yours appears to be a mild case (many allergic people can't even be NEAR the stuff, let alone smoke it without going to the hospital), it's likely that there are treatment options which will allow to you at least enjoy smoking once in a while.

Here is a nice Cannabis Culture article about marijuana allergy and what can be done about it.
Quote:
If you aren't allergic to THC, but to other substances in grass, you could try using very refined preparations that contain only cannabinoids. These include well-rinsed water hash, water-washed kief or ether-refined THC oil. While not totally free of the allergens, these preparations contain very small amounts of plant matter. You may also be able to vaporize marijuana, since this turns the cannabinoids into a vapor for inhalation without combusting the plant material. It is more pure than smoking. Many vaporizers are available on the market.
To test for an allergy yourself, you can try rubbing a piece of fresh bud on a small area of skin on your arm and see if a rash develops. If it does, there's a good chance this is the case.

Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Hey guys whats up.... here's an update..
I went to the hopsital and got a blood test done plus when I was there my heart was beating like freaking crazy. My entire body (from head to toe) felt all drained out and felt numb. And I couldnt breathe to well.
In the hospital I was then given this tiny pill that desolved on your tongue and it will calm your systems down.
I was then given these anxiety pills. I feel better like my breathing problem disappeared, my heart is beating in a normal rate and my long lasting throat tightness was gone but here's a new problem that Om having...
Its my head...
It feels like I can't keep focus of myself. Like my eyes are having a bit of a difficult time keeping focus. Im always having to blink to much, and it feels like a bit of a headache.. Last night it was a terrible headache, in both sides of my head, in the tempo and all over my head.
Now I dont want to some stupid when I ask this. Having a fatigue means like your body feels all drained out and tired. If thats what it means then Im experiencing a bit of that as well. And one last thing Im experiencing, my stomach feels a tiny bit sick, like my body doesnt want to accept any food that comes in.. Other than that I will be ok..
Will these symptoms wear off?? Are these symptoms normal? And how long does the THC flush out from your systems and I mean all the THC completedly out from your whole systems??
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
mseerob, to answer your question about how long the THC lasts. The biggest effects are usually 30min-1hr. Most of the effects are gone after about 4-6 hours. For many people, including myself, your body still feels a little tiny bit of it for the next day or two. Its like a "hey I did weed yesterday didnt I" feeling, but physically not mentally.

i would stop smoking if i was you. and it is very well possible that u are alergic, i know meny people that are
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
oh yeah Im done smoking for good man, that is like the last Im ever going to smoke again.
I got up this morning and Im still feeling the same problems.
1. Head feels a drowsy, and like everything is cramped up
2. My eyes are having difficulties focusing
3. My body still feels tired and drained out (fatigue)
4. My neck feels stiff when I move it back and forth
I even took an advil that one evening and it didnt work. I was prescribed these anxiety pills. I feel relaxed and all but Im still experiencing those symptoms above.
Do you think this is treatable or Im going to have this for the rest of my life?
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
?!
If those symptoms are still there after a week, go to a doctor, that doesn't sound right.
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
I think you're having a Panic attack. I get those sometimes when I smoke pot. It will eventually wear off, but you might want to think about quitting altogether.

Dude, he's talking about AFTER the high is gone.
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Yes I am talking about the after effects of being high.
You know what I think its physcological. I'll explain the reason. I got the blood test done on my body including the thyroid, acid etc. I got the results and everything was normal. Now I got an allergy shot yesterday at the doctors and thats coo. Now today Im still experiencing the throat tightness.... Im so Fu*King confused like how can anxiety do this $hit to you? Even though my throat feels scratchy at times..
The biggest thing Im having now is the following..
Tightness in both sides of my tempo of my head
Body feels tired.. fatigue
And for some reason when I scratch my head or rub my noses it feels numb.
I took a benadryl and alerus couple weeks back and my throat was still tight
So I can to a conclusion man its all in my head and Im pissed cause I want for this bull shit to stop. Its obviously my fault too for trying it again but I only did it to see if I was allergic big time to it. Well I stopped smoking forever now but Im still going to be around too see whats up on here. Anyways if anyone has read this, has anyone ever been to a psychriast before. If yes will they examine your head to see what the problem is, give you a medicine and from then on you will feel normal again. Please reply back

-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
yeah stop smoking it sucks to stop but if u dont enjoy being high whats the point of being high
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
No I havent smoked from a blunt, I smoked from a pipe
Before anyone suggests this... I am not stressed out
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
I got every single symptom you are describing, word for word, tightness in the throat, pressure on the temples etc. WHILE i was high. But if this is still a few days after you got high, thats messed up.
If you are willing, I want you to try smoking again, and the day after, see if the symptoms are worse or have "restarted". That way you will know if it is the weed that is causing it, or something else.
This may also be because of asthma.

Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Hey guys whats up...
Honest to god its the weed. Before that weekend I tried again, I never had this problem with my head, it was just my throat that was causing the problem. Then when I smoked a lil lil bit of the hash then when we started smoking weed then it started to happen right after I was high. Then on sunday it was getting so bad, it felt like my head was going to explode and till this day my head is still feeling this way. Check this out, my doctor even gave me an allergy shot and my throat still gets tight out of nowhere so my head is sick. I deeply think there something wrong with my head thats causing my throat to get tight. And this pressure in both sides of my tempo its like the nerves in my tempos are being pinched hard. From this problem my body feels numb and when I scratch my head and rub my nose it doesnt feel the same like its a bit of lost of sensation. Im seeing a psychriast soon cause I've been through so many test from an xray on my throat, to throat swab, blood/urine test, throat specialist, allergist, and they all say that my body is perfectly fine  From the beginning my doctor that it was from my head but I didnt believe him... now Im beginning its true. I want to get my head check, does the psychraist perform CT scanning on your brain? Well whatever I just want for all those symptoms to go away forever.
Hit me back
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
If you can find one, get a CT scan, that will reveal whether or not it is simply psychological. But you should take this pretty seriously, it isn't normal...
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Yea Im going to reach a hospital soon and try and get one.
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
just ask one of your friends to get you high when you least expected.. like walk in a room full of smoke then come out and see if u have problems or not. if u have problems and ur buddy tells u its cigarettes smoke, its on in the head. try running a fwe tests with freinds or something.

Tried smoking again: More Problems....
You kinda sound like your just making problems out of nothing. lol. No offense. Maybe it's just in your head. THC isn't some killer chemical that will cause all sorts of problems, so I don't see how it's possible for you to have all these problems after smoking some cannabis. Maybe it was contaminated or something who knows. But it's not the marijuana. I think it would be pretty rare for you to get these problems from weed. If they keep up, see a doctor. Are you the type of person that worries about things? I am, i used to worry about all sorts of shit and think all sorts of shit was wrong with me. Well, it turned out I had cancer but for 3 years I was very sick and didnt know I had it and my mind was going crazy and I thought i had everything from lupus to chronic fatigue syndrome to arthritis. My mind went crazy. Maybe your not the type who worries and lets your mind wander. I hope it all goes away. Good luck. Don't smoke anymore pot.
You may have a totally legitimate health problem. Numbness and stuff like that is not normal. Don't listen to doctors when they tell you it's all in your head! They told me that for almost 3 years straight and i found 2 doctors who actually listened and they found out I was very sick with cancer. Doctors tell you things like, it's all in your head, or, you are just depressed, and a bunch of other things if they dont know whats going on in your body. When they can't find out whats wrong, they just blame it on the patient. They have major problems with their attitudes. If you truly feel sick, and aren't psychotic or anything, you should keep going until they help you. don't give up man. they will jerk you around until you lose all hope but dont let them!

So what if you have had the following......
Blood Test
Urine Test
XRAY
Throat Specialist
Allergist
And they all told you that your blood is fine and there is nothing physically wrong. As for the allergist he said Im allergic to grass and trees. so im guessing its anxiety.
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
I'm pretty sure those dont test for viruses, but I could be wrong. You might have strep throat or a flu.
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Actually my throat has improved. I dont get those tightness as much as I use to anymore. I use to have it every single day. Now Im just having these weird head tightness on my forehead and it feels like something it pinching my nerves in my tempo. from this its causing my head and my entire body to feel tired but mentally Im not tired. Its strange and I hope that I get better.

For anyone that reads this, how long are you suppose to feel the withdraw symptoms for? Just after you smoke and you decide to quit, how long exactly, because its been like over a week now and my head feels weird, tensed up, like a muchy feel. :(

dude, your allergic.
if you're persistant in smoking marijuana the results could be fatal.
i don't mean to exagerate, but your health is much more important than getting high, well atleast i hope it is.
it sucks, i can't imagine how you must feel knowing that you can't smoke marijuana anymore, but it's for the best.
-

Either find out if you're allergic, or find out if it was laced. If you're afraid of the legalities (i dont know what its like in the states) after you take a blood test, just say "I asked a guy for a cig, but I don't think thats what he gave me, could you test me to see what, if any, drugs were in it?".
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Thats weird. I had a blood test and the results were fine? maybe it was to early I dont know. maybe I should go for another one. The doc kept saying its anxiety but its not right because I was prescribed this pill called Ativan (The family of Lorazepam) And when I take it, I can still feel the pain in my head this weird tensed up tightness in my head, it affects my eyes and my body. What it feels like in my body like its lifeless kinda. Its a lil hard to keep focus, like my brain isnt 100% all the way active, I can get a real good night sleep and it doesnt help. I can feel so pressure on my eyes too, when I move my eyes Im always having to blink. When I rub my nose it feels numb, hard to tell if my arm is numb or its my body.
Thanks for all the replies man I appreciate it a lot. But I dont know what to do. I had a blood test two days after I smoked the weed and it came out fine. I dont know if taking the test would make a difference. I did talked to my doctor and told him I smoked and this is what Im feeling ever since. I know its hard to believe that Im still feeling these symptoms after 2 weeks when it should of been gone. But this is what Im feeling and yes I did quit smoking cold turkey for good. In case nobody knew I smoked a lil bit of the hash that same day I smoked the chronic. I looked in the chronic it didnt look laced, it looked fine, I could ask my friend again. And yes I tried relaxing myself and taking my mind of it, doesnt even do a thing.
ps: I live in canada

I'm in Canada too. So did you check to see if you're allergic?
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
Check this out....
I went to the allergist before I attempted to try again and I clearly asked him if I will be tested to see if Im allergic to weed and he said that he didnt have the source but if I was allergic to grass or trees then I'd be allergic to cannabis. Apparently Im allergic to grass and trees. So I talked to some friends about it and they were telling me that cannabis is not any part of a tree or grass its a plant. Alright so then I got confused and I talked to the allergist and he was telling me that if Im allergic to grass or trees then I'd be allergic to cannabis too. So I was confused and I didnt know what to believe. Cause it wasnt like he tested me on that particular source. So then I decided to try again and now I made it even worse on myself. Now my eyes has a difficult time keeping focus till this day and now I noticed that I have a difficult time keep myself focus in reality, like the way I look at things isnt what it used to be. Now I feel like I have depersonaliztion of some sort I dont know. And I still get these weird tension in my head especially my forehead. my mind is not 100% focused. Im going to goto a doctor in the hopsital because he takes the time to really listen, some crisis worker. I mean dont get me wrong I can still recgonize myself in the mirror but I dont feel 100% in my body. My eyes at times feel strain and I need to blink more often than I normality would and my arms ansd finger even felt a bit numb. And usually the light in my bedroom or at work doesnt bother my eyes. Now it feels pretty bright. My head usually gets pretty hot too. Out of nowhere it can feel warm then it gets warmer. I dont know whats going on but I need to get medical checkup. I never had this before I smoked that afternoon, august 6.
-
Tried smoking again: More Problems....
I know what you mean about the depersonalization, I hate it when that happens, it usually lasts a few days after I smoke too much, combined with me feeling nervous about something. I just feel 'not right', sometimes I'll stare at something boring and i have to look twice to make sure i didnt imagine it or if I'm dreaming, that goes away after a long while though. Since you're a newbie, I'd give that at least 7 days of sobriety to go away.
I'm not really sure how they test if you're allergic to weed, but if you have any left, take the biggest lump of it, and rub it on your shoulder, enough that some of the oil rubs off. If it ever irritates, becomes a rash, or anything out of the ordinary (if you're not allergic, absolutely nothing will happen) within the next day or so, you're allergic.

weed affects people differntly chest pains is something to worry about but throat tightness i dont think so i have that all the time when i swallow drinks or smoke a doctor to;d me its cause ive smoke for awhile but depending on how high of a tolerance level you have will determine how long your high for but i think you dont have anything to worry about
