it doesn't make sense. God supposedly forgives everything, and all our sins have supposedly been taken away by Jesus. So why are people scared of going to Hell, when technically, Jesus did it for us so that we would never have to again? That doesn't make sense.
Let me tell you something. There is no other judge in your life than your own conscience. That's what God really is, our conscience. When you die, if you are peace with yourself, if you canlook at yourself in the mirror and say, "I've lived a good life without any regrets," then you will experience everlasting peace. That's the secret.
ur sins arent taken away just like that u have to understand that u have sinned and ask god for forgiveness
It's the dumbest thing I'v ever heard.
Sorry if that's offensive, it's just my oppinion. Go ahead and take it with a grain of salt.
But what "God" that is so loving and forgiving, would have a hell to send his "children" to.
Also, why did "God" have to send his only begotten son to die on the stake to wash away our sins? If he's "God" why couldn't he just do it himself. Seems pretty fucked up thing to do to your son, don't you think?
I'm not denying Jesus ever existed, it's obvious a man named Jesus did and he did alot of amazing things. However, many many many people died in the fashion he did back then, it was not uncommon. He just happened to be glorified for it.
Also, if "God" created us and he is all powerful and knowing, then wouldn't he have known that we were going to turn out the way we did?
Or if he is so great, couldn't he have created human beings that weren't going to do the things we do????
If you could give me logical answers to these questions, I would be impressed. However I've found most Christians, are so blinded by faith, these questions, they feel do not need to be answered. You just have to have "Faith".
Well good luck with keeping the "Faith".
well, i think it's safe to say that heaven, hell, and god are all made up. all you need to do is think about it.
You got it NightProwler if you seriously consider the facts we now have in this day an age, you'll see it's not true.
Christianity isn't even an original religion, practically everything about it is taken from even more ancient pagan religions. Which the church condemned even after adapting some of their dates for holidays etc..
It's historical fact
So if you really want to know just think about it and question it.
That's why they tell you not to question "God's" doings, and such, because that's Satan tempting you away.
They sure like to use fear on people to make them understand.
Believe me, it goes far deeper than just borrowing and renaming ancient holidays. Jesus' 'miracles' are all copied word for word from ancient Egyptian religion, his 'virgin birth' was not unique at all, a lot of ancient heroes were born to virgin mothers... Look it up, it's fascinating, and it makes you realize that Christianity is just a new name for the same old religion western Europeans and mediterraneans have been following for millennia.Quote:

Let me lay this on you hell wasn't even in the bible untill the middle ages
Lucifer was gods tester and a minor figure in the bible untill then
Everything that get done in the name of the church and bible and god makes me fucken sick
I beleave in god
to me God is everything god is you god is me and we should all stop worrying about trying to intepret his will and such attempts at this will always lead to some sort of evil
It does not matter if I accept Jesus, if Christianity is true I am going to hell simply because I am an atheist. According to Matthew 12:31
"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men."
I have committed the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (by asserting that such an entity does not exist), therefore I am doomed to everlasting punishment if the Bible is true, no matter if I am "saved" or what.
P.S. I don't think any being with a sense of what is just would make it so that "u only have to be ur self to go to hell". What kind of sick creature would give people free will and then punish them for having individuality?
Ermitonto is wise.
If the bible is true than so is All the other religions and im afraid of the Egyptian and Greek hells the most , so I'll worship them and sacrifice lamb's and food to one and oils grains and perfumes to the other.
Ermi hit it dead on as usual. ;) Apparently theres a population limit on heaven anyway and with all the "good christians" im sure its full by now so even the nowaday good christians are "boned" :).
Mt. Zion in Ethiopia is Heaven
all those ideas are from the bible and the bible is simply a story book to explain the way to live a healthy and regretless lifeQuote:

God orders genocide against a people whose ancestors got in the way of the Israelites crossing the desert hundreds of years ago. Good going, "Almighty". :rolleyes:Quote:
