why do you guys hate police officers?

Please take this thread with an open mind, we of all people should be a group of open minded people...


I noticed that a lot of people on this forum (and a lot of people NOT on this forum for that matter) hate police officers so much, that they are like fanatics.

Why is this? Because they take your weed and arrest you? They do not make the laws. It seems unfair to hate somebody for enforcing the laws that your elected officials are creating.

you may also say "i just hate crooked cops". Well what is a crooked cop? Depending on who you speak with it is either a cop who does stuff against the law, or a cop who does things for his own personal greed. If a cop pulled you over, saw you had weed, and let you go (or let you go with a warning) you could say he is a crooked cop. He was supposed to arrest you, technically.

Now granted, some times police officers can be condecending, or even rude to an extent. But they do have to put up with a lot of hate.

so my question to everybody that wants to answer it, would be what is your beef with police officers? I think we need more police officers who smoke pot. They would be more likely to let people go, and wouldn't be as likely to bust sellers and growers.

so the next time you get mad at the PO-lice, think about the fight for legalization.

like i mentioned though, every profession has dishonest people. What about mechanics who fake fix your car to swindle more money? Or the wal-mart person who says "we don't carry that item" then you find it 5 minutes later?

they're just doing their job in my opinion. surely you all don't hate the soldiers sent to iraq to fight for our dumbass president. it's not their choice, they have to do what they're assigned.

cops have to be pricks. with all these crazy ass people in the world and they're just supposed to sit back and be nice to you? if i was a cop, i wouldn't take shit no from no one, you would never see my smile. i admire police officers, putting their lives on the line, dealing with ignorant people, it's a tough job.

now that i think about it, there is no way in hell i could be a cop...i'd probably die the first day on the job.

i just hate the asshole cops that abuse their power. i dont mind somebody just doing their job, but when somebody uses their position to discriminate and harm other people i think its just wrong

after years and years of seeing cops abuse thier power and police departments lowering thier training standards to the point where any dumb ass steroid munching moron can get a gun and a badge and free reighn to run around town terrorizing any one they feel like ..i have developed a strong distaste for the police..now when you factor in narcotics officers the problem grows 100 fold..the police are not our friends thier job is to arrest and harass peaceful stoners minding thier own buisness..i have no problem with some one wanting to go after a murderer or a rapeist or pedophile.. those type's of people have no place in our society PERIOD..but when the solution becomes as bad as or worse than the problem ..it's time to look for better solutions..if any one would like to read about a real cop try this lnk http://leap.cc/howard/index.html we could use many more like howard... and far fewer like that ass hole Lon Horiuchi...and if any one thinks that it's a good idea to still have narcotics officers in our country then read about some of the work they have done recently at http://blogs.salon.com/0002762/stori...arVictims.html we have given far to much power and authority to a lot of very stupid spiteful people

i dont like cops for good reasons because why do they arrest you for somethign they could give you a warning for or perhaps give you a lil ticket.... i meen honestly...

My dad was in the marines and ended up with a dozen cop friends. They'd all gather at our house during the various hunting seasons. I learned to hate the motherfuckers from what I heard out of their own mouths. What I find interesting is the higher up the "police food chain" they go the more Bent they Get.
I was Busted Buy a Bent Cop and He came undone and I ended up in a royal commision.giving evidence against Him..lmao..I walked he's now Brown bread.

I don't like the fact that the cops can bust me (and have) :rolleyes: that stinks.

I have never been a "die cop die" kinda girl, I think it's childish.

I try my best to protect my family, my friends, but what if the un-thinkable happened and an unknown person raped and killed your mother or sister, would you still hate the cops who found out the ID and busted them?

Anyway I feel like cops are doing an important job, and if I wanna "play" i might have to pay.

Because they are minions of the state who have voluntarily taken up a job which limits the freedom of non-violent individuals, and thus are obstacles in the struggle for true liberty.

Cops are cops because they choose to be cops. They know that they are hated before they sign up. The way I see it, cops are just another gang. A bunch of badasses running around with guns. Cops always seem to be right around the corner eating their dougnuts when you roll through a stop sign but when your house gets robbed, they show up 2 hours later, write some shit down, then say "We'll call you". Whenever I see a cop pulled off the side of the freeway pointing his laser gun trying to get speeders I think, "There has GOT to be a better way to spend tax dollars than that!". But the thing that bugs me the fucking most about the god damn police is their fucking god damn brotherhood code. A cop gets pulled over doing 100 in a 25, he just shows his I'm-a-fucking-cop drivers licence and it's "Have a nice day officer dickwad". Or if a fucking cop shoots a guy without a gun because he's fucking trigger happy all his porker friends are like "Oh... it was self defence... he charged him". Fucking cops, fuck em' all.

I dont care what you think, thats your problem, firstly, you live in another country...different cops, different techniques, do you think that when they beat you when you get arrested, theyre beating you as hard as they can and try to leave marks so that when lawyers do come along they get that person out of custody...Fuck you, i dont have to proove what goes on in a large country town like mine to you, ive seen it happen and i dont get my opinions from watching the fucking news...poof

Police are the bullies in the schoolyard. The bankers and gentry pay them. There is a reason the people hate the bullies.

There are only three groups of people.

The ruling class
Those that work and protect the ruling class for privilege and status
Those that are subjects/citizens/slaves

Judicial, legislative and police belong in the middle there. We, the stoners, we belong on that there bottom. Why hate them? They protect the laws from above without jurisprudence (that means without judging the law). That would be similar to shooting a human because you are ordered to.

So, it is very simple, someone sworn to uphold the "rule of law" rather than a citizens inalienable rights should be hated, not respected. Someone who enforces laws regardless of their legal nature is a criminal, one who deserves derision and hate.

Another reason, cops are blatantly racist, and it isn't any batter, even since the 60s. Visible minorities get constantly picked out, often they're arrested on trumped up charges. I often see cops harassing people just because of the color of their skin, and this is happening in Montreal, supposedly one of the most 'open' cities in the world...

YES!!!! the RACE card. as a black person in america i have seen personally what power the law enforcement can do. it was with my father when i was a little girl and he did absolutely nothing wrong. he passed a police car in which the officer was dealing with someone else in front of a shopping mall. the police officer took it upon himself to approach my father after he was done with the previous case and accused him of almost not waiting for him when he was finished. it was a public street and my father had the right to pass. so THAT why i have a personal beef with law enforcement. i know that it's not right to carry a grudge, but after the things i've seen out of MY EYES....it's just not right.

I personally wouldnt hate someone just because he/she is a cop. Sure, many of them are racist, but many arent. And its easy to say cops sucks, but when you're a victim of a crime, are you just going to brush off a cop who wants to help you? My sister got into a minor traffic accident, and the cop was friendly and tried to be as unbiased as possible. I think I would be a hypocrite if I said I hate cops but would go to one if I needed to, for whatever reason. And yes, they voluntarily take up a job that involves arresting people. But come on, they're trying to make a living like anyone else. Yes, they work for the state, but we all voluntarily do things eveyday that help the state and corporation. If you go to college, you might be paying them money to do research for the military. That was a voluntary choice, no? And if you say you hate a cop because they work for the statehow far would you go with that logic? Do you hate all employees of Wal-mart, who are profiting off child labour? Do you hate every journalist who works at CNN, who run propaganda for the state?
